2021-01-04Hi my baby is hitting the 8 months in two more weeks but he has yet to crawl. He doesn’t like to flip over on his tummy when placed him the playmat and only do so when he is on the mattress. He can slide backwards or in a round direction but not yet know how to move forward. So far he only sit and play his toys. Not knowing how to move from sitting position to tummy or tummy to sitting position. Everytime He will cry if he is on tummy for awhile as he doesn’t seem to dare(scare he doesn’t know how) to flip to his back from tummy. And has to help him lie on his back or help him sit. I am worried for this case. Any mummies out there can advise?
2021-01-04Went to nuh a&e yesterday due to brown discharge becoming mix of more blood. And more bleeding happened yesterday. Dr mentioned to only come back if bleeding is pad full. Had some cramps today and felt menses-like bleeding. Is this a red flag? Should i go back to a&e again today?

2021-01-04TL;DR: MY BABY SLEEPS AT 4AM, WAKES AT 4PM *HELP* Hi mommies! My 5month baby sleeps for 9-12 hours stretch with max 2 night feedings (mostly 1 feed, and if we feed her more during her last feed, she can actually go without a night feed) at the moment - but she would only do it after 3am. We do get a good 8 hour sleep minimally which is good since we dont wake up early anyway but it's quite impossible to keep up with this schedule as we are back at work / she's living with my inlaws on weekdays. This actually happened after her 4th month regression (she used to sleep 1130pm - 1030am before it happened) could this be the cause of it? She rejected sleep then and would only take very short naps for 2 weeks straight, with very frequent feedings. Any suggestions on how I can shift her sleep timing earlier would be appreciated! FYI: She has 3 naps a day (30mins to 1.5hrs), with 1.5-2hrs awake time (activity) each time (quite consistent) which we think is quite healthy? 4 to 6 mixed feeds (we try to give her formula for her last feed so she will be 'full') her total sleep hours add up to the recommended hours too... Current sleep pattern: 2pm wake + activity - 4pm nap - 5pm activity - 7pm nap - 8pm wake - 10pm nap - awake till 2am 😴 (if she sleeps at 4am, she can sleep till 4pm lol) Is 7pm considered her bedtime even if it's not a long stretch? My inlaws have to entertain her till 2am and it's quite unhealthy for older folks 🤣 Tried: - Nursing her to sleep but it only worked once. Her eyes will be wide open after unlatching and she will start babbling (active with that feed and short nap) - Keeping the room dark - Letting her cry for a bit but usually it will turn murderous lol (my poor neighbours)

Want to ask your experience & opinion. first time mother, Im now at week 39. past 2 weeks, my tummy feel tight quite often & night time become so difficult to sleep (baby movement is normal not that active though). Before I can sleep around 10 PM & now I can only sleep around 3 AM because I often feel my tummy was so tight & I feel so heavy & uncomfortable especially on my upper tummy (below breast there). 2021-01-05Hello mummies!! I had a job before giving birth to my daughter, then I stopped for 7 months to take care of her and went back to work after that. I worked for about 3 months and came the circuit breaker, I lost about 50% of my job. So I was panic then, I quickly took up another new job thinking that I would feel secured and happy. 2 months into the new job I found that I wasn’t fit onto the team. Workload was ok, I believe in my work performance but I didn’t get along well with the colleagues. After much endurance for 6 months, I quit the job as it took a toll on me and my family cause I was so stressed out. Now I’m taking a break, thinking of what I should do. I wanted to find a job that allows me to work from home and to be on site sometimes. However, I’m kind of lost. I want to pick up myself again. Any mummies encounter similar problems like me?

2021-01-05Hi! Its my first time with KKH, was with SGH previously and it seems like their delivery bills and pmt are different. I know that for ward A and B1 we have to pay an upfront or deposit first. Can anyone explain to me how does KKH bills and pmt are made? Deposit will be made when we have decided on the rooms and beds? Or will it be made during the admissions of delivery (on the day of delivery/labour)? And the other pmts for any extra charges, can it be billed to home? And what are the extra charges for? From what i remembered when i was with sgh, everything were paid during the admission(labour) no need for any deposits. And bed were chosen on the day of delivery itself also. So everything was paid on the day itself. But then again, this was 5 yrs ago. Help me explain for KKH pls.

I will have frequent running nose or blocked nose due to dust or anything trigger my nose (e.g. dig my nose to clean it). Used to have doctor medicine to runny nose (those in yellow small tablet) but its already finished. Not planning to stock up on it as not to be too dependent on that. Any suggestion?

2021-01-06Hi All, This is my first pregnancy through IVF(4th attempt) & I'm 14w5d currently. Throughout the first trimester it was smooth sailing but I started having yellow discharge as I entered the 13th week. It became more frequent so I decided to see a private gynae while waiting for my KKH 16th week appointment. Was prescribed Utrogestan and baby was doing fine on scan. Next day after the visit, yellow discharge turned brown and looked exactly like spotting. Lasted on one panty liner only. Contacted the private gynae and was told to monitor. Tested Negative for infections the following day. Was advised all these was a normal pregnancy physiological discharge and normal natural mechanism. Five days later brown discharge appeared again but lesser than the first. Also, lasted on one panty liner. Went to KKH urgent O&G: baby ok on scan & no blood discharge on speculum. Was discharged with "threatened miscarriage". Three days later(today) I had dark yellow discharge again. Anyone had the same experience with discharge for a full term pregnancy? Appreciate any insights. Note: all the yellow discharge had no pain or itch. Only slight smell.

2021-01-07Hi Mommies! I have tried different kinds of milk storage. Which means I have spent plenty just to try them out. Firstly, I used Avent milk plastic storage. It is convenient, does not occupy so much space and it is sterilized so there’s no worries about whether it is clean, dry and safe for BM storage. Secondly, I tried those small bottles which can be commonly found at Kiddy Palace (I think). Perhaps I can reduce plastic waste by opting non-plastic materials so hence the curious switch of storage. It is made of glass and does not have measurement (ml/oz) markings and has a screw type cap with another part in the center which can be removed. I am still not sure what purpose it served but if you know, please do share with me. Anyway, I thought that maybe I should get a container that has the markings instead of always needing to gauge the amount of BM i could produce. Thirdly, I bought BKA glass bottles (which i came across online while “window shopping”. It has the markings up to 100ml and the cap cover is like a cork-shape type silicone. So I thought to myself, Made of glass - checked Measurement markings - checked But to my disappointment, when i place the BKA bottles is the freezer, some of the cap popped out of the bottle. Maybe some exceeded a little beyond 100ml so I said to myself “alright, understood”. Eventually, i use the second choice. Glass, screw cap and continue gauging the measurement. The amount doesn’t matter to me now since I could just ensure the BM volume reaches a certain height of the bottle (Haha!). The reason why I chose glass bottle, aside from reduce plastic waste, is because I could UV sterilize glass bottles without worrying about the breaking down micro plastics of plastic items. Oh well! That’s my share and merely my opinions based on own experience. What about you?

Am a #1stimemom and seriously wish for a smooth pregnancy, preferably natural delivery. Apparently I can't do or eat any specific thing to help the placenta move up. Feeling helpless, lost and worried. Has anyone had similar experience? I'm hoping to hear from mummies whose placenta gradually, amazingly moved from low to normal position. At which week did your gynae conclude your placenta position is normal? Did you try to do anything to help the placenta move up? *I know I need to avoid sex and strenuous activity, and am aware of the complications, so it's okay to leave those out pls! Might just break down again after being reminded of these :( Really am just here to see if there are real cases of successful placenta migration. He usually drinks around 780-830ml per day (exclude latching) The past 2 days he keep refuse to drink or latch and total only drink around 400-480ml per day (exclude latching). I've never experienced or had pelvic pain with my other pregnancies. My gynae says it's normal because of baby's weight. And I also read that it's normal for those who have been pregnant before. Having quite the difficulty to walk, stand for too long especially when I need to cook or even lift a leg up to wear pants. Turning in bed can also be quite painful. Sigh!

2021-01-09I am experiencing this bitter taste in mouth for few days now. Even when I am not eating anything. I tried brushing my teeth after every meal still the taste persists. This is badly affecting my eating habits. Don't feel like eating anything. I have been drinking a lot of water too but not helpful. I'm week 27 now. Is this pregnancy related and is it common? 2021-01-09How do you deal with 4 years old who doesn't want to go to full day childcare. When I asked my child. He just keep saying he doesn't like to go to school. When he was in playgroup and N1 was 3 hrs programme. It's very stressing. I seriously don't know wat to do.
