2021-05-03My 4months 14days old baby and has not turn by himself yet. Is this something to be worry about? He can tolerate assisted tummy time with pillow supported underneath his chest, but cnt tolerate without pillow support. He can lift up his head better now eventhough still abit wobbly at times. The arms are not that strong yet to support himself up yet. Anyone faced the same situation?

2021-05-03I was a freelance tutor cum quasi-SAHM but recently transitioned into a full-time working mum. Both of my children (2 under 2) are in childcare and infant care. Thing is, children in infant care and childcare fall sick easily, almost every month. With stricter safety measures implemented in schools, teachers are quick to call parents up at the sound of a slight cough or congested nose. The recovery of phlegmy cough or runny nose takes more than a week, means parents would also need to work out alternative childcare arrangements for that period as most of us only have six days of childcare leave and that is not enough to cover our leave to look after our children when they cannot go to school. For working mummies who don’t have alternative childcare arrangement (i.e. maid, mother or mother-in-law), how do you manage it without tapping so much on your leave? I just started a new position with a steel learning curve and it is challenging for me to juggle with my children falling sick frequently.

2021-05-04My baby is the first grandchild for both sides. So both our parents' houses currently do not have any baby stuff. Not sure how baby is going to rest when visiting. EDIT: Baby won't be staying overnight at either place at all. At most we will sneak out for short 1-hour couple time when baby naps at either parents' house. That's about it. There also isn't any spare bed at either house. Sofas are the old school hard solid Chinese style kind. Not comfy. 😅 Questions: Will I need to have baby stuff left at BOTH grandparents' houses? Do I need to buy travel playpen or bouncer etc. to bring over when visiting? As in something for baby to lie down in. What are the essentials I will need? 2021-05-04Hi, isit normal to sleep for long hours? My baby slept ytd from 11pm + to 5.30am, then 7.34am to 12.38pm and now fall asleep again. 2021-05-04I NEED SPACE! Used to like my MIL a lot, but after having kids I find her extremely annoying to the point where I didnt realise that the way I speak/ attitude to her changed, and even sighed at the thought when she comes back from work. Currently living in my In-laws place while my husband and I wait for our BTO and will only be ready in 4 years' time. Have 2kids (3yo, 5months) and I find my MIl to be annoying after she tried to interfere with almost everything from parenting, to food that I feed my child (eg: dont feed the kids rice dishes when sick, dk what kind of logic is that, passed down from her mum) and more. Like trying to convince me to sleep train my younger one earlier cuz he still wakes up to latch at night as he cosleeps with me(preciously tried to convince me to do it to my older boy). I refused to though it will make my life easier. Cant stand her, and I feel like im slowly becoming the bad daughter in law, who shows attitude. 2021-05-05Please recommend me a good formula. My son have been drinking few brands and some brand after drinking he will end up getting diarrhea and some brand were eczema or rashes. Im not sure if he's lactose intolerant so i tried isomil soy milk. Everything was fine but after few weeks he suddenly got diarrhea again after drinking. So I changed to goat milk (karihome) its good but he doesn't like it! End up he will just drink a little in one day. My son is 1year 5months.

2021-05-05Hi all, baby, 2weeks old, has blocked nose when sleeping in air-con room. Used Sterimar and sucked out with nasal aspirator (lollababy and tollyjoy), but no mucus sucked out. Question: how long do you press on the Sterimar per application? I usually press it for 0.5-1s as I'm afraid too much water blow into his nose. The block nose seems to be affecting baby's sleep as he keeps waking up from the congestion. Any advices?

2021-05-05Hi mummies! I am currently 23 weeks and having a visible round belly(average body size). I like to wear body hugging dresses which makes my belly even more bigger and noticeable. However, I always find it hard for people to automatically give up seats for me (most of time people are not on the phone or sleeping, I am pretty sure they make an eye contact with me when I entered). I have hard time balancing especially on buses, mrt and I am too shy to ask for a seat. Normally my mother or my husband have to make a big fuss on how inconsiderate people are, then some will just stand and walk away. I try not to go out as much as possible even so, I will normally take grab, but once in a while I will need to run an errand and have to take public transport. Since young, I have always give up my seats to elderly and pregnant ladies that's why I am quite shock at how our society behaves now. Do mummies experiencing this as well?
2021-05-05Hi, Have anyone experienced a cyst only being identified on the 3rd trimester? Also did you go for normal birth after that? Or you had to remove it? Or what actually You did. I’m pretty confused as I went for a dermoid cyst removal in 2019. And I’m currently pregnant 28weeks. Today’s scan showed a 9.9cm Cyst on the right ovary. Dr couldn’t answer how come all along they didn’t identify that. So I’m puzzled. Also I had a normal delivery 8years ago. So I’m not keen on doing a c-sect. Kindly share your review.

2021-05-06My 3mo+ baby started crying inconsolably since last few days in evening. I try to feed, take a walk, take him out but nothing seems to work. He cries until he gets tired enough to fall asleep. He takes about 2 naps during the day and this starts around 6:30pm. 2021-05-06Any one of you is subsidised patient of nuh?? Today my appt, the gynae told me for subsidised patient, if i choose elective csec , it needs the dr approval and is not within my choice. I was quite pissed because if this is true, then they should have told me since my first appt and not now. As such, i would like to enquire is this gynae speaking factually or not? And if it is, i would like to ask any other hospital that is subsidised and the dr will not be so pro natural. Its irritating enough that i am scared of contraction pain and what not as a first time mum also the kind that will cry just becox of injection but people like them jus keep saying natural ok de la no pain. Dun worries... Everyone phobia is different i hope they can respect my phobia. Is very irritating and i feel that i am talking to walls. Also appreciate if anyone could share switching to pte from now (week 23) to delivery and warded, how much would it be? As a cheapest maybe associate consultant and also b ward. As compared to subsidised only.

I have a 1 year old, ever since the heightened alert announcement I had put many of my plans to bring my LO out on hold, including going to outdoor parks/attractions etc during the weekdays. I am currently having break from work and felt like I am wasting my leave. Had staycation booked this coming weekend and the heightened alert kind of dampened my mood. Kind of kiasi as my hub and I are not vaccinated and baby still young. Was having very mild on off cramp on for 2 days, feeling unusual hunger at work and some weird feeling (abit of similar to queasy feeling on chest since dpo4, lethargic and keep yawning since morning, feel different when eating the usual soup and ingredient for hotpot just now. Is it normal?
2021-05-06My 9 wks old baby is only drinking 300-400ml a day (24hrs). She is only drinking approx 60-80ml per feed. She still get wet diapers and poo within the day. At least 6-10 times of diaper changeout. However, she seems to be drinking lesser than what she should. Should i be worried? She sleeps more and she slept from 8:40pm up till 1.38am and is still not awake for her feed. Should i be waking her up for feed?

2021-05-07Hi mummies. I went for my first check up on the 26th March and I was measuring 5 weeks and 5 days. My next appt was supposed to be 10th may. However I started implantation bleeding yesterday so we immediately rushed to the doctor. Was given the hormone jab and hormone pills. Doctors also said that the embryo was not measuring the right week supposedly 7 weeks but I was only measuring 6 weeks and 1 day. Was sent home on 24 hour bed rest and doctor said try not to walk around too much. I’m still super worried... any mummies that experienced the same thing?

2021-05-08Anyone here who does spinning and continued during their pregnancy? During my first tri, a doctor told me to stop cos of its intensity. Now that I’m in my second tri, another doctor (who also spins and understands what spinning is) gave me the green light to continue with it. I’ve done my own research too, and certain articles would say that it’s safe while others would say that it might get dangerous cos it can get really vigorous. I’ve been spinning for years and a regular rider (and spinning makes super happy) so I would love to hear outputs from other mummies who spins as well!
