2021-04-26Hi! Would like to find out your hospital care plans for your older children when you are in hospital for delivery. I’m due in about 2 months and my No.1 will be turning 2years by then. Very attached to me, always wanting me to do everything (shower, routine care, sleep) and will resist when the dad wants to help (can’t even pat to sleep as baby will say no, mama pat to sleep). We have help options (currently staying with in laws, my mum’s place is also avail) but we are hoping to reduce the changes needed for my #1, so trying not to make her sleep elsewhere except in our room. Hub wants to accompany me in hosp, so he suggested my child to sleep either with my in laws or at my mum’s place. I suggest him to be home with #1, and just witness the labour but don’t have to sleepover at the hosp with me. Really need some advices and experiences from everyone. This is causing me a bit of a stress and worry...

2021-04-26I’m worried about my baby’s weight. He is 4 months and 2 days old, he weighs 5.8KG. He was actually in the 50th percentile at birth (3.335kg). But now he is in between 25th and 50th. Worried because I’ve read about babies being 7-8kg! My baby is on EBM.. can’t stop thinking and feeling sucky about his weight. Also he hasn’t pooped since 20th April but is not showing any signs of constipation.

2021-04-26I just had my first gynae check up today at 9 weeks. Gynae informed that fetal heartrate is low and to come back in 3 weeks to check if there is any further development. Told me to not tell anyone of my pregnancy yet as im at a miscarriage risk. Just feeling bumped out right now. Any mummies out there that have had similar exp but manage to pull through? Would love to hear some encouraging stories.
2021-04-26I am in my first trimester and having very bad nausea and vomiting. Have no appetite to eat as well as most things come out after that. I’ve been to the hospital and did some blood test which shows that I’m still adequately hydrated. Was thinking if it’s possible to just drink maternal milk all day (in place of eating) to get enough nutrients for the baby?

2021-04-26Hi all! Currently at 9weeks pregnant. Just wanted to ask those that has any experience... is it ok that I'm not consuming nearly as much water as I should? Per day maybe I drink only about 3-4cups max. But I do consume like soya bean milk or milk. Just that water makes me nausea so I'm not grabbing for it as much. Is this normal and is it ok?

2021-04-26Start having flu since saturday where i tot it was just sinus. 2021-04-26Today i went to KKH to get a scan of my baby. The foetus was there but according to the gynae there is no heartbeat. However, there are two conflicting accounts that i've heard: Lady who did the scan said its at 5 weeks+ Gynae said its 8 weeks+ They are giving it the benefit of the doubt and highlighted possible miscarriage. Im quite anxious over this - wondering if i shld go to private to seek second opinion?

2021-04-26I am 22yr old female who is currently pregnant and really considering giving the baby up for adoption. Neither myself nor my husband is ready to have another baby and abortion poses an ethical issue for us. We already have a pair Has anyone here given up their baby for adoption? What is the process like? Would I get to sit down and interview the potential adoptive parents before I give up the baby to them? I've tried to do my own research on this but unfortunately and to my frustration, information is really lacking for women like me who is looking to give up my baby for adoption. I prefer not to approach any agencies first as I really would love to be in a neutral position when I make my final decision. Just afraid that when I go to agencies my opinion may be biased. 2021-04-27Sorry mummies to rant out because I dont have anyone who could understand me. Not even my husband. I have married into this family for 2year 3 month. And blessed with twins 1 boy and 1 girl who already 7 month plus old. Last Feb I have no choice to send my twins to Infant Care at My First School because I have to return to work to support financially. Till now I feel guilty towards them because I unable to be with them whenever they at IFC. So of course when I with them, naturally I want to be 100% there, do all stuff with them. I stay with parents in law. My MIL always complain to my husband that I never let her carry my twins, after that, he always scold me. Like example yesterday, I put my son at rocker, she took him out and carry. I never say anything. I just want to take him away cause I need to feed my son water as he has bad cough and drink less milk. Then at night, I bathing another twin, she ask my husband if I around in the room, because if I not around she able to carry and hold them. I just feel so angry towards her. Im their mother, but I cant decide anything for them.

2021-04-27I took Oscar last week for 1st trimester test for Down Syndrome. Yesterday my OG called me and ask me to go back to the clinic as the test result is not optimistic. I am 33 this year and in 13 weeks pregnancy now and had 1:194, consider high risk for Down Syndrome. Breakdown and helpless. 2021-04-27My baby is 9 months old She have been putting everything she can get her hands on into her mouth since 3 months! I don’t mean toys only by EVERYTHING I literally mean door stopper, slippers, books, chair, cable, fan, remote, phone etc... basically anything you can think off anything you see in your house she will bite, lick or whatever as long as it can fit into her mouth she will! HELPPPSSSS it’s is soooo frustrating!!!!! No use giving tether or rusk she will throw one side and go for other things! I know is because of teething but I dont see any other baby go all out like her! She’s literally like a RAT!

2021-04-27Hi, im currently 7 weeks pregnant however it appears that my symptoms come and go. For the past two weeks, had tender/sore breast, mild cramp on few occasions, feeling fatigue and hungry every few hours. Now, no longer feel tender/sore breast and fatigue except for the extreme Constant Hunger and mild cramp which remains. Felt a sudden sharp abdominal cramp (lasting less than a min) in the middle of the night while sleeping. -> is this normal? Does symptoms come and go? Is it normal?

2021-04-28My 17months toddler has the same issue, very consistent to wake up every 3 hours to ask for milk at night. Usually I gave her dinner at around 7:15pm, then will try to give her last milk feed before 8pm, then send her to bed at 8:15pm. 2021-04-28My 5 week old seems to sleep and feed well in the day but stays wide awake and fusses a lot at night. He is usually satisfied from just breastfeeding during the day (sometimes he falls asleep right after sucking just one side) but at nights, breastfeeding alone doesn't seem to be enough. Night feeds include breastfeeding + expressed milk as top up + even formula as additional top up. He's also super fidgety at night. Is this normal?

2021-04-29Hi mommies! My LO is 4 months, from 10 days her poop patter suddenly changed. She used to poop once in a day and sometimes once in 2 days but now she pass motion so many times like 4-5-8 times and the poop is runny but not watery. I consulted GP, polly clinic doc and her PD as well, everyone saying different thing- first two said its just colic and prescribed probiotics and colic medicine while the PD gave some lactose intolerance drops and also asked to test her stool if there is infection. Can anyone guide me please m so much upset for my LO. There is no change after giving her lactose intolerant drops.. while poop she pass gas and some sound come. Poop looks like sticky She is only on breastfeed. Thanks in advance

2021-04-29Hi Mummies! I would like to share my story and hopefully bring you positive vibes while you wait for your next result if you decide to test further. My first born was all well and good. A smooth pregnancy with no hiccups nor cause of concerns. And a year later, I was expecting my second and as usual, we did the harmony test at week 11, waited for 2weeks and the ‘horror’ starts ... We had low risk for Trisomy 13,18,21 and di-george but the gender and SCA were reported as inconclusive (I’m 32, we have no history of genetic disorders). It was new to us, new for the gynae even (~30yrs experience). A repeat test was offered by the lab and we took it. However, we were told that repeating the test would likely yield the same results and was asked to consider the possibilities and our acceptance towards a baby who may have SCA (worst-case, though inconclusive results does not mean its abnormal, it was just as if we never did the test. But frankly? We did it to know it!). During the next 2weeks wait, it was horrible. We read up all we could, reading up forums, papers ... and we concluded our worst-case scenario. The repeat test result came back and sadly, it was the same. So the next step for us - To know for sure or just live with this unknown till he/she arrives. We decided to go for amniocentesis. Fortunately, my gynae made it rather easy for me. Compared to the ‘mental roller coaster’, the procedure was painless. Here comes the next wait ... On the 11th day, I got a call from the clinic and it was the best news ever! Our baby was normal and we now know the gender. So Mummies, I am sharing this story for you to still have hope! Its tough (almost 2months of unknowns) but there is hope! Hang in there if you are going through similar! You’re strong and All the best! Have faith!

Took my glucose tolerance test and result was bad :( before fasting 4.2 mmol/L after 2 hrs 11.7 mmol/L Feeling really emotional overwhelming. I thought all is well. I did not gain much from the day one 54kg till now 59kg 159 tall. And now : Dr recommended putting me on a strict diet for 1 week and checking glucometer for 3 meals so pricking 6 times - before and after meal . Just want to hear other mums out there how did u all manage when u found out this? Am just feeling really down...... .........

2021-04-30I just did a detailed fetus scan at 20th week. Results showed that baby has big head (max reading) and big adominal (max reading). Baby weight was on the high side also. I'm so worried as I read online that these are symptoms for babies with ASD and usually shown at week 20 onward. Another possibility is I may have gastational diabetes. If she take 60ml to 80ml ill try to feed her every 2 to 3 hrs but she will push away,don't wanna drink. I tried to offer her food. She no appetite to eat too.
