2021-03-15Hi, I am currently 37 weeks and 2 days. My baby weight as per 37 weeks ultrasound is 2.8kgs already. Recently, she’s like gaining 300g per week. Worried that I’m not be able to deliver her in normal delivery due to her weight gain. Her head circumference is 32cm at 37 weeks. Planning to ask my OB to induce her on my 38 weeks and 4days, also this is my birthday. Any advise from mummies who has the same experience. Appreciate any feedbacks. Thank you.

2021-03-15Hi , my child is 20 months now . Husband pays for bills. And is less than $150 total every month . As we're staying in a hdb rental . He helps to pay for groceries on some item that he allows to buy . So for child diaper, school fee and all that is related to childI have to fork out my own . He does not give me any allowance. He does not seem to be interested in taking care of child . Only play with her for awhile when he is back . And when the child cry , he'll pretend not to hear and expect me to come out of the shower asap or stop doing my things . Be it both of us are eating , he finishes first , child crying and want my attention , he can wash his hand first and comfort till I take over but he just glued to the TV . When I tell him to do something to help , he will say baby doesn't want me la / what u want me to do in a frustrated manner . Ask for some allowance back then , since he don't want to take care physically , he will keep giving excuses that he need to pay this and that . End up I know he can take grab thru and fro to work everyday , borrow his friend money , set aside money to have outing with his friend , buy what he wants, buy his ciggs . During weekend , sometimes he do pay for our meals. But it's like that kind of feeling where I've to ask to help to help then he will . And tht kind of helping take care of baby is usually 5 min or so , and will pester me to faster carry her over. Or whenever I ask for help , he purposely light up cigg saying he smoking must wait . All the way taking care of my child myself sending her from school and back even tho I'm working is super tiring . I just feel like giving up . During sat , when he wakes up first with her , he will just play with her instead of providing her with breakfast and changing her fully soaked diaper . Doesnt mean u don't eat breakfast , my child too does not need breakfast . All he does is have fun . And when outside or in front of people , he will show that he take care of the child and all. All for show. And when people not around he totally dun care . Like he no different from other people only play with her, just that she sees her everyday .. and the saddest part is that , after all , the child does not listen s to me , but is afraid of the dad and will listen to whatever the dad ask to do .. Many feelings about this I have said to him but nvr really change. We are still on good terms tho , as I do not want to make things worse for the kid and this family . Social worker told me I can go to court to get some mantaince monetory . But I think it will ruin our relationship . Why is he like this...I have been thinking of divorce many times but do not want to make a wrong step ..wht should I do to make him take some responsibility of his own child. #advicepls

2021-03-15My baby did not grow and remain at 2.2 kg during the last check up at week 35+6. Anybody encounter the same problem? Gynae suggest to monitor baby movement and go to hospital ASAP shld there be slight deviations in movement.

2021-03-15My son just turned 17months, so far he is only able to say 2 word accurately, he understands basic command and able to point to the things we talked about, my family members comment that he is having speech delay as most of us in the family able to speak 2words 14months onwards..it’s getting me worried.. we are taking care of him at home, and only plan to send him at N1, speak to him daily and also read him books often. should I seek any help, if yes where can I go to? 2021-03-15Good evening mummies, I need help urgent from you guys if you dont mind. I attached four images below to let you guys see and advices me. Im a first time mum with twins who is 6+ month old. One of my twin, my daughter has diaper rash mild one, on top of that, every hour she pooping. Her poop is a bit everytime she poop. I will say she has diarrhea. With her ongoing diarrhea, its just make her diaper rash bad to worsen everyday just like the images i attached. Everytime she pee or poop, she will cry like crazy. Its hust broke me to see her like this. I bought desitin in purple, should i put that cream and cover all the wound? And how should I get rid her diaper rash? 2021-03-16Hello mummies I’m first time mummy here and made two mistakes today. 1) while cleaning her nose with nasal spray I accidentally poked too deep because her head wasn’t firmly held on and she bobbled. 2) while washing off her hair with soap water with the soap accidentally got into her eyes I’m just wondering if any moms out there had accidents like this cause I’m feeling real guilty and wondering if she be okay. Apparently she can still smile and babble after that. And wander off into sleep.

2021-03-16Just had my FTS yesterday. Did blood test and a ultrasound. During the ultrasound the doc/nurse pressed so hard at a specific area and she just keep going on and on , on that spot till it kinda hurt right now when i slightly touch it. 2021-03-16Its been 4 weeks since i had the jab for my ectopic pregnancy. Been going back for blood test and scans but it isnt clearing out. But instead the baby grew bigger while my HCG level dropped. I've got 3 options now: 1) Leave it as it is 2) Get another Jab 3) Removing the tube Open to different opinions here. 2021-03-16Went to a&e at my 4th week for brown discharge , as it was still early they couldnt see anything through the scan had a darker brown discharge at 5th week, went to a&e and was told that there was nothing to worry about as long as there is no pain or blood dr. prescribed dydrogesterone and was told to not overwork a d monitor for pain and bleeding im at my 6th-7th week now but i STILL see brown discharge almost everyday! i’m not in pain and there is no bleeding , been feeling nauseous almost 24/7. it’s driving me crazy and i feel so worried. i’ve been reading and some mommies are saying that brown discharge is NOT normal but, Dr. says it is okay? help what should i do. any mommies have had experience with regular light brown discharge?

2021-03-17Hi, today is my EDD but no signs of labour. My last gynae check was 2 days ago and I was told that baby’s head is not engage yet and my cervix is still closed. The yoga ball is now my best friend. Just wondering if anyone had contractions/water bag burst without baby’s head engage and went on to have a natural delivery? I read online that it’s possible that baby head will engage during labour. Or if anyone manage to induce without baby’s head engage and was successful with natural delivery? My gynae said that if baby head is not engage then induce will fail and lead to c sec. He is willing to wait for 10 days but I’m kinda worried that overstay will be dangerous for baby. Any inputs are appreciated! Thanks!

Bring her to PD for monthly check up at NUHKids with Dr krish, he say most probably starting she has stomach flu but never seen doctor for it and it become lactose intolerance. So he recimmend Isomil soy infant milk to see and stop her diarrhea. Because of her every 1 hour diarrhea, her diaper rash bad to worse. Comfort latching become her preferred way to fall aslp (in past she dont behave this way) I am worried that with comfort latching and hugging her to sleep, she will have a hard time to adjust to ifc. 2021-03-18For those who did not shower and wash hair daily during confinement month, did you allow/welcome family and friends visiting you? If you did not, how did you politely reject their visit? I imagine I'd be dirty, sticky, smelly and my hair will be oily so I cannot imagine interacting with visitors in this uncomfortable state. I also know that if our family members do visit, they are here JUST to see baby. They are NOT here to show concern or bring tonics to the tired Mummy who just delivered a baby, or to help in any way (we know, because our families haven't shown any concern throughout our pregnancy, haha). So tbh, I view visitors more as a disturbance to my rest. Esp when we will be handling our newborn and confinement all by ourselves without helper or nanny. If we do get spare time, I'd rather we rest and recharge, instead of preparing for guests' visits and then entertaining them, and then cleaning up after them. Just being practical here. Anyone with me? 😆

2021-03-18my 6 months old just had his vaccination today. previous time he had a low grade fever but i didnt have a proper thermometer to measure.. this time around im monitoring him more frequently. his body is really warm, but his temperature is always between 36.8-37. but he feels really warm. infact the scanning thermometer showed 35-36 degrees. is this considered fever? should I be concerned about his body heating up?

2021-03-19I'm currently going into 5 weeks pregnancy. My 1st HCG was 7.6 IU/L then within 48 hours it doubled up to 50.8 IU/L and after 7 days it was 1028.6 IU/L. The gynae said the numbers looks like a healthy pregnancy. But something's else is making me very worried. The gynae did a vaginal scan and the womb is still empty. But she found a small round cyst kind of thing on my right ovary.. she did ask me if it's painful or anything. I don't have any pain or bleeding . Has anyone encountered this before ? And also that fallopian tubes are all fine. Theres no problem with that. Just that there's a small cyst looking kind in my right ovary. Is it normal ?

2021-03-19Hi my 1 week old baby is always sleepy. I actually had difficulties waking her up every 3 hours for milk. Even when I remove her swaddle, changed her diaper; she’ll just go back to sleep immediately. Even if i managed to let her latch, she’ll fall asleep within 2 minutes. But she pee and/or poop every feed (3hours). My concern is she isnt getting enough milk as I can feel my breast getting softer as day goes by (probably due to the lack of “demand” from my baby).

For me, I’m in my second tri and told a few close friends in person, but haven’t told not-so-close friends who I’ve not met since start of pregnancy. 2021-03-20So my (then) boyfriend and I had a child. But back then he didn’t want the kid and forced me into abortion. Our child is 6 months old now and never have he once visited both my son and I. But recently, he texted me and told me he wants to be responsible for us and asked me to marry him. Deep down, I would like to because I want to give my son a proper family to grow up in. But I am not sure if would ever love me as a wife. He broke up with his girlfriend in order to marry me. But he constantly tells his ex gf that he chose responsibilities over love. And they will always love each other from afar. What should I do? I am really so vexed about it. Can I marry this guy whom I love so much as a husband, but knowing that I will never have his heart? Side note , I have terrible relations with my parents. My parents locked me up at home and take my child away from me despite I am someone in my late 20s.

My baby just turned 5 months and she has started to put things into her mouth. I used a cotton bud to pull it out of her stool and it was black and hard. I’m not sure what it is. Anyone? She doesn’t seem to be in pain at all. Afraid she might have taken something and put it in her mouth without anyone being aware of it as she’s being watched closely most of the time. 2021-03-20I've been wondering if it's normal for baby to start flipping at 2 months and successfully roll frm bck to front at 2.5 months? He cld alr hold up his neck and turn his head ard during tummy time rather stably. His day naps duration is now just abt an hr or even less. He just turned 3 months and keeps wanting to roll and starting to kick his legs like want to move forward. 2021-03-20I did a blood test 4 wks ago to confirm my pregnancy when I missed my menses. Back then the hcg results was 5 wks gestation. My first day of last menses is at 15 jan. I just went to the gynae today (1st visit) hoping that we will be able to hear heartbeat (since now should be around 8-9 wks based on blood test result). However when scanned, it’s around 5 wks and foetal pole can be seen. I’m scheduled to go back 2 wks later to see if it’s growing and if heartbeat can be heard to confirm this is a viable pregnancy. Question is.. if US scan and hcg test can differ so much? Can’t help by worrying that it is not growing as it should.. #advicepls
