- 2020-02-24My LO is 3.5months old and she can sleep for 8hours straight without any milk. We tried to wake her up in between (4hours) for feeds but she drank around 30ml and will fall back asleep. After 8 hours, she finally wakes up - still no signs of hunger (we tried feeding and she also reject). What surprised us is that she continues to smile and blabbers baby language to us, looking satisfied and contented. Her diaper change is about 6 to 8 times, normal to her diaper change when she was 2 months old. Any mom also face the same issue? (the only time she could finish her milk is when we dream feed her in the middle of the night). Weight gain wise, about 150g per week.
I am EP mom btw. Is she rejecting my milk?

- 2020-02-24Hi mummies, i was diagnose with GD when I was pregnant. Last friday, I went to the clinic again to do the OGGT to check if my GD disappeared. I am still thinking if I need to see the doctor because I feel that it is just a timing issue since the result for 2 hours is ok.

- 2020-02-25I had my first baby via caeserean section more than 18 months ago.
For this upcoming pregnancy, I would like to go for VBAC. The success rate for VBAC is between 60 and 80 percent but there are also risks involved such as:
-uterine rupture
-complications like heavy bleeding for the mother
For VBAC, the gynae has also advised that the baby has to be delivered naturally meaning the water bag has to break. No induction methods are allowed to kick-start the labour process.
Anybody has this experience? Could you tell me more? I would love VBAC but the risks involved scares me alot.

- 2020-02-25Hi my 6 weeks old LO sometimes fall asleep at night after half feed when he is suppose to drink a full feed. We usually let him sleep and when he wake again then feed again. But it sort of disrupt a schedule we trying to build into him and perhaps into our resting hours. Should I actually keep trying to wake him up and try to finish or just let him sleep. Letting him sleep is after trying for a while simple ways to try to wake him but fail. Did not bear to try harder.
Thank you for your sharing in advance!
- 2020-02-25My 6 weeks LO nowadays gets pretty cranky, a couple of times after feed baby still crank up with me carrying and coxing and my wife keeps saying it’s my technique or angle of carrying the baby, when she or my maid takes over baby tends to quiet down almost immediately. But my technique works previously and to me it’s the same as theirs! And of course she only comment when what I do don’t work, when work my technique becomes ok.
My take is that baby tends to sleep at breast and need the female comfort vs men.... but it’s my own opinion. Anyone has anything to share that can shed some light?

- 2020-02-26My parent-in-laws are nice people and they treat me very well. They are willing to care for my baby when I go back to work too. I see that they’ve raised my husband to be a wonderful person, and they dote on the other grandkids and I don’t mind them taking care of my child.
However, my father in law smokes and I find that a dealbreaker. My husband has been telling his father to stop smoking for years but he can’t quit. Even now, while I’m pregnant, he still smokes when I’m at their house and I can smell it on him when he comes back into the house and it makes me uncomfortable. My husband notices this and tells him to change clothes when he comes back in.
Having my in-laws care for my child is the most economic thing for us to do, but how do I reconcile with the fact that I don’t want my kid exposed to second/third hand smoke? I don’t think simply telling my FIL to stop smoking will work at this point cos my SIL did do this when my in-laws cared for their baby and it caused some rifts between them.

Due to my hub inflexible working hour we only can depends on my mil to look after my son. Problem is when I told her I wanted to go for some exercise class she told me is a waste of my time, you’ve got no time for that. After much discussion between my hub and my mil. She say she is okie with me going for workout on the sat. But weekday she needs to cook and no one look after my son during evening time. - 2020-02-26Hi everyone,
Today is week 10 for me and I have been vomiting after every single meal. Even super small snacks after I vomited to ease my stomach hunger like chips or chocolate or perhaps those sour kinda sweet, I will vomit them out as well. I cannot seem to swallow any form of liquids as well (including plain water) without my body auto triggering me to gag and vomit. I have tried fresh coconut water, ginger ale and 100 plus. Brushing my teeth will also trigger vomiting.
Past few days alone, I vomited about 4-5 times.
May I know how much vomit is too much such that I may need to go for IV drip to get any nutrients back to my body? Please advise. Please help :

- 2020-02-27My LO rashes near butt hole area still cannot fully recover. Coming to 2 months already. Some days looks good and some days the redness is there. Is it because it's girl, hence it's more sensitive?
Mustela didn't worked for her
Purple desitin too strong for her.
Cerandan was recommended by PD when we brought her in mid Jan. It got better but slight redness still there.
Using Jo Lauren balm. It works well for neck and armpit rash but not her rash near her butt hole.
What other diaper cream or balm would u suggest?
PS: butt wash after poo, diaper brand from merries to plantinum Huggies and frequent diaper change.
TIA!

- 2020-02-27I'm around 13 weeks now... Since the start of morning sickness, everytime I vomit I would leak some pee. It's so frustrating because sometimes I vomit a few times a day and I end up having to change my shorts and undies so many times!!!! (I use a pantyliner and still...) It's not alot but it's so annoying especially when I'm outside... Sneezing is safe 95% of the time but there's this one or two times too. Vomiting is the worse.
Is anyone having this issue or is there a problem with my bladder ?

- 2020-02-28I had a miscarriage last Nov. At week 6 , fetal pod was not detected through transvirginal ultrasound. Dr diagnosised my pregnancy was inviable pregnancy. I was asked to go back for HCG test and the level was not rising. Spotting few days later and i had a miscarriage.
Few weeks ago, I missed my period and was tested positive using home preg kit. Was at the polyclinic this morning to confirm the pregnancy. Dr said based on my lmp I should be around week 5/6. Due to “elderly pregnancy”! I was referred to kkh with the earliest appt to get my first gynae check. I’m 41 this year, with 2 boys through normal delivery.
I’m very much worried to go through the same cycle of tests and fear.
Given a kkh appt next week which I would likely be at week 6/7.
It is too early to detect anything?

But healthy are very expensive nowadays, especially when people are buying in bulk. Anyone who has been through it can recommend me some examples? I have a list of examples given but I would like to know how you guys do it. Anyway I'm a full time mom student currently 8 months pregnant with an 11 month old baby girl.

- 2020-02-29It started yesterday with a clogged duct on left breast which I can't seem to remove with pumping. Then evening time I developed a fever with chills. Took panadol and fever subsided but breast still pain. Today feel much better just low grade fever but it is now like generalised pain over one area of my left breast which feels painful to the slightest touch and feels hotter as well. I can't even carry my baby properly as it hurts when put her near my breast. There is a small area near nipple which is red but my breasts are soft and not rock hard. Is this mastitis and will it go away on its own? Do I need see a doc and which doc to go? GP?

- 2020-02-29Hi mummies,
My boy is 3 month old. He has been sleeping through the night roughly from 9pm to 6am, sometimes 7am plus. At least 6-8 hours. With that, his feed become lesser. About 5-6 feeds per day. Usually he will be drinking milk 3 hourly with each feed around 140 ml - 150 ml (water + formula).
Is this normal? I am worried that he is not drinking enough milk since he is a growing boy.

- 2020-02-29Hi mummies,
Recently there many same situation happen to my circle of friends.
I am here to tell those not breastfeeding mum there's nothing wrong with you not breastfeeding. Don't let the society pressure breaks you down..
I'm a bf mother for 1 years. I just hope everyone can treat all mummies the same. Taking care of kids isnt easy at all. Everyone has their own limit of what they are capable of doing. Breastfeeding isn't a easy process. Some mummies out there might need to work to be able to feed the family and decided to stop bf. There is mummies out there who don't have milk for their kids or not enough that leads to give up. Mamy have their own reason why they don't want to bf. Dont judge them.
Every mummy here is great be it fm or bm. You guys are really wonderful. Ignore those who made comment. You definitely have your own reason why you don't wanna bf. Don't need explain just do what you are comfortable with and you feel it's the best for you ?
