2020-02-17My baby is 17 days old and in abt 2 weeks time my nanny will be leaving and I will be taking care of my own baby. I don't even know the basics of carrying my baby and just learning now. It doesn't help that my nanny always say if I do this to my baby I will break his arm etc. (She showing me) Ask her to show me how she shower baby she says 我学不到的。I don't have in laws or parents to help too. My husband is helping to take care of baby too but when he goes to work I am all alone. I want to be confident to take care of my baby but it is demoralising. Also baby is now more attached to nanny. When I hear my baby cries my heart feels frustrated.

2020-02-17I am so stress and not sure what to do becoz I have migraine history and whenever I am pregnant, it will come more often and the thing is it doesnt "notify" me in advance . It comes anytime . I had work schedule ytd but about 4hr before i start my work, i felt dizzy and have some migraine aura . So i told my boss that I wouldnt be able to work . It maybe v last minute but I cant risk anything since I felt dizzy esp . But he , not being understanding, reprimanded me in the group chat . I am not sure what to do. He even say " This is the last chance , one more time , I'll fire u or u quit urself" This is my first time that I really cant go to work . The other time when I felt v sick , I told him , but in the end I went to work because nobody wants to help to take my shift and the boss heartlessly says " find ur replacement urself " Now I feel so stress because I really not sure what to do .

He accompanied to see me a doctor and the doctor confirmed that I am pregnant despite being safe. Of course , He wants to abort it . I do understand why but I feel irresponsible to kill a life . I told my parents about it and they didn’t approve with the idea of abortion because they believe in karma /bad luck. 2020-02-17I have PCOS and a blighted ovum previously. Despite all these, I managed to conceive with the help of clomid. Currently I am about 12 weeks pregnant and I have some on-off episodes of brown discharge since week 7-8... stops then week 12 comes again. I’m on both proluton injections (twice a week) and duphaston tables (twice a day) to support this pregnancy. I have been really worried these days. Not sure if anyone here has any similar experience?

2020-02-18After delivery of my baby, spouse been harping that i earn more and should pay for all or most of the expenses. I am very disappointed and feel there is no love left in this marriage. We quarrel so badly that between the 1st to 3rd month after delivery we talk abt divorcing more than 3 times to the extend he even went to a lawyer firm to chk procedures. I keep asking him to try out and drop the idea of divorce. Till the last time we talked abt divorce again which is around baby 3 mth i decided to give up and end the marriage but surprising he change his mind and say his heart dont allow him to. Slight improvement after that, but still feel the void and drifting away from each other. Now is like living together strangers. He said he does not want to stay in spore and want to migrate and only want to have baby after we migrate, due to age concern i persuaded and convince him to have 1 first here. So he expect that im prepared to bear all the expenses. He still have in mind migration and plan to leave by end feb. I dont understand how can a father and husband just leave without a care if he really love us. Baby love playing with him but when i think how selfish he is, i really still dont know how to make this marriage work. Is all that he is interested in is money and migration but not his family? He also request that i join him once he settle at the new country and hope i can fork out some money for him to go find a job there when he leave spore. Anyone can give me good advice?

2020-02-18My 3rd son is 18months. He was diagnosed with herpangina today at his paediatrician. It is something like hfmd but only in the mouth area. Nothing is visible on his mouth, hands and feet. He doesn't have fever and he still play with his siblings but he refused to eat or drink and kept fussing when it's time to sleep. Now it's confirmed my eldest and 2nd child have it too. You have to quarantine them for 2 weeks. Please know its symptoms. Be aware.

2020-02-18Seems like I’m the one complaining a lot at home after having kids. They are the first few grandchildren and all focus on them. A lot of things which I didn’t bother, I tend to pay a lot more attention to them. Such as cleanliness. Food. There are things I wanted them to be done in a certain way, but there are too many voices in the house and I tend to be neglected. For eg, when I said the food is too salty, they always think I don’t want to let them take salt. When someone else said the same thing, it is heard. When I said don’t keep letting kids watch tv, it’s not good. nobody listened. But when someone else said too much screen time is not good, comment was heard. No doubt everyone in the house is trying to help. But they don’t do it your way. And your voice is always not heard. Sometimes I wonder, why did I even comment? Some people will tell me do it yourself if you want it to be done in a certain way, I must admit I’m not capable enough to take care of all my kids alone. So what should I do? Maybe I should just shut my mouth. Keep quiet.

2020-02-18Hi! I am at my 11 wks. This is my 3rd pregnancy. the 2nd miscarriage. From my prev pregnancy I didn't experience this. Early morning or late night my tummy will be growling. Very uncomfy. Like really hungry. If let say early morning I woke up to pray at 6am, I ignore the hunger and slept back after praying, next I wake up will feel super hungry but very nauseous. Sometimes I'm just too tired to go to the kitchen to get some food to eat especially at night cos I would need to brush my teeth again. Anyone experience this? Usually she's drinking 90ml, but for 2 feedings which she woke up crying for milk, she only took 40ml and went back to sleep. She seems frustrated when I try to give her some more milk. She wakes up more in the middle of the night (sometimes not for milk) and stays awake (can be awake for more than 1 hr). She fusses a bit and never cries, should I help her to fall back asleep or let her be in the crib? During daytimes, she tends to nap longer. She can nap more than 3 hours sometimes, should I wake her up from her nap? 3 hours seems a bit too long for 1 nap?
2020-02-19Hi mummies! I am currently 7 weeks pp. My supply has been low from the begining, only yielding about 60mls each pump. These few days I notice my supply is dropping to only about 20mls now. I have been drinking lots of fluid , water, barley, red dates tea, milo, oats and also eating nutritious food throughout the day. But still no improvement. My LO only wants to drink breastmilk and is rejecting FM when I try to top up. I feel very heartbroken everytime she struggles and cries. Sometimes feel like giving up breastfeeding and giving her full FM. Feel horrible that I cant satisfy her hunger. :'( Is there any hope at all to increase my supply? Any idea why this sudden drop?

2020-02-19Dear all, Does anyone of you being advised by gynae to start taking Aspirin from week 12 onwards for the sake of preeclampsia prevention. I am 38yo with 13wks+ pregnancy. My gynae has prescribed me with Cardiprin 100mg (a type of Aspirin) to start with everyday untill further notice. I am not hypertension nor diabetes, and my blood pressure has always normal. According to my gynae, most of the pregnant women starts to develop hypertension symptoms or preeclampsia from 5months (even she's one normal), peculiarly for women over 35 yrs. Hence, my gynae advised me to take the Aspirin now due to my age as a preventive measure, it'll be too late to take any medicine when the hypertension/ preeclampsia comes in later. Though i was told it's pretty safe to go with it, still there are concerns like any side effect (i have nvr taken Aspirin on a daily basis for a continuous period), to baby as well. Will it cause early birth, etc? I read some article says that the Aspirin needs to be ceased during last trimester, otherwise it may cause some birth complications. Also, it should be a low dosage Aspirin of 80mg, but mine is 100mg. Would like to hear advices from mummies who had this also. Thanks.

2020-02-20My baby failed to latch properly because my milk supply was very low. After visiting LC, I was introduced supplementary milk system to help my baby latch. Has any one tried this technique and did it work eventually?? Unfortunately at W2, my milk supply is still very low and almost no let down reflex with exclusively pumping. 2020-02-20My 3months old baby doesn't not turn her head to sound. But when her focus is on me and i talk to her, she will respond. She get startled by loud sound when she is sleeping as well. But when she is wake and there are loud sounds, she ignore them completely. Is this something I should be concern. She passed her hearing test at birth. My worry is that her ear drum may be affected as I always shout loudly at my toddler while carrying her.

2020-02-20We have two helpers at home. One worked for 20 years for my in laws. She is bossy sometimes, like to gossip and bad mouth people sometimes. I started hiring another helper after we have kids. She would bad mouth the new helper to me if the new helper does not listen to her and help her with her work. At the same time, she likes to say bad things about me to new helpers. So much so that I sacked my ex helper who is of different nationality as the experienced helper. Recently we hired a new helper who is of the same nationality as the experienced helper at home. Apparently the new helper listened to her and helped her a lot. And I suspects she say bad things about me to the new helper again. But I have no evidence of cos. So why would she say bad things about me? Coz I quarreled with her on how to take care of my babies before. She always think she’s more experienced and wanted to do things her way. And she got more work to do when I was pregnant as I was asked to stay home by Gynae. I won’t fire the experienced helper as I’m not the employer. And my in laws are very easy going people. Will u bother to tell your new helper to just focus on her work and not to gossip and listen to the old helper? But I doubt it’s effective. I told my helper to inform me everything about my baby. But she didn’t tell me anything when I was there the whole afternoon. Instead, she told my mil when she came home. Seems like old maid say bad things about me and that’s why new maid is scared of me. Haiz. I really don’t like the old bird.

2020-02-22My 2-day old newborn only sleeps 5min on her own. Swaddled. Then she’s awake crying. I latch her every 1.5-2hr (sometimes 1hr gap-cos I’m not sure how much colostrum I have..). She can latch strong (..that insatiable pain). As soon as she’s put down alone in her cot, the 5-min cycle begins. For the whole night. We are exhausted. I know it’s because our newborn is adjusting to this world and dunno about day and night. Is this normal?
