2020-12-21LO is 20month old, suddenly refuses to drink water from new water bottle! The old water bottle has been leaking after using for quite a period of time, hence I had decided to change it. After changing, she has not been drinking water, I need to use the syringe to feed her! Anyone encounter this before? How do I get LO to drink from the new water bottle? 😭😭
2020-12-21Hi mommies, I gave birth 9 days ago and DL my bb since day 1. My breast gets v hard and firm quickly despite being on a 2-3hr feeding schedule as he has jaundice. But one elder adviced against it saying it depends on how much milk I will be having. If too less then breast pump is not needed. How long will we be breastfeeding usually? We didn't stay together until my daughter is born. Worse is that he say that I can't ask him for money. I left with no money. And whenever we qurrerl my mother in law will step in and say is all my fault, her son is correct. She will follow us when ever we go out. Preparation: 1️⃣ Wash the ikan bilis and boil it using mid fire cook for 20 mins. 2️⃣ Removed the ikan bilis, add in uncooked fusuli let it cook for 20 min using low fire. 2020-12-24Hi mummy out there, How to build bond with you son. All along since he was birth i have been taking care of him and breastfeeding him. Just after I ended my maternity leave I have to go back work and mil is the only one who take care of him and I only can see him after my work. Now that he was 21 months old he is v closed to my mil. And v needy for her, she and the husband also tried to divert his attention away from me. When ever he called mama they will say ah ma or papa and he doesn't want to call me anymore. 2020-12-24Only a sahm for 2 years plus, i feel lonely and jealous sometimes when husband spends a lot of his time out with his friends while I'm 'stuck' at home with the kids 24/7. I feel guilty for feeling 'stuck at home w the children' and wanting some time for myself. ☹️ Why do mothers have to sacrifice our freedom(also our bodies and literally everything) while the fathers get to do whatever they want guilt free.... Really hard to find a dedicated father/husband who's willing to spend more time w family/wife rather than choosing to always go out w friends. Totally understand that he needs time to unwind after work but its like he gets to go out every week sometimes twice a week while myself only once or twice every other month. Just getting to shower alone feels like such a luxury......... I feel like I'm always complaining but all my complaints always fall on deaf ears. He says ok but still insists going out just a 'short' while but comes home late n is too tired the next day to spend time w the children or me even. Pls tell me im not alone feeling this way. Sighhhh.
2020-12-24I’m using spectra S1+ the pump is working well, but it does not clear my breast effectively. After a 30 - 40 mins pump, I can still hand express a significant amount. Had already massage before and between pumps, make sure ducts are not block and it’s still not working. #advicepls

2020-12-25Hello, It's been a week since I found out I was pregnant and confirmed in the polyclinic I went. An estimated prediction of pregnancy was 7 weeks. I had talks with the father of the child, he was actually happy about the whole pregnancy (he haven't think about the future yet, but was just happy that he could be a father). After a few days and confirmation of pregnancy, we had a talk about our future and also a referral to KKH for scans. I told him that if he did not want the baby, we should go ahead for abortion and not waste more money on scanning and all - which he did think and he also was given a few days to 'calculate' and think about our future. I was actually heading towards abortion because it was too sudden and we are not that ready both financially and because of our families (my family doesn't like him a lot and his mother don't like me at all) But because he was so happy earlier on when I broke the news, I was very invested in trying to ensure I take good care of my body for the pregnancy and maybe my thoughts changed for abortion. When he came back to me upon going through all the reflections and thinking, he told me maybe abortion would be a better choice for our situation. I was half happy because it was something I wanted but at the same time I cried alot at the choice he had also decided, it was maybe because I was so invested in this whole pregnancy I wanted to keep the baby - even though I am worried about the future. Please advice if it would be better to go for abortion instead of giving birth in this situation because I am torn on this.

So i fixed an appointment with my gynae although the date is less than 8 weeks since i missed my period. Then i started to have constipation and pain at my abdomen region. Is it a cause for concern? 2020-12-26Hi mummies. This question is especially for the Malay mummies. Do you pantang after giving birth? I just gave birth a week ago via c section and currently I don’t follow the pantang rules so much. I only watch what I eat (ate confinement food) and of course just ensure that I don’t do heavy housework or carry heavy things and all. I also wear the binder to keep my incision in place. That’s all. I don’t wear socks and jacket as it’s already so hot at home. I don’t use that creamy paste thing to smear on the forehead nor on tummy like our mothers and grandmothers do during the olden days. I’m an educated and smart woman who knows science and logic. Sometimes all these pantang rules are just a hassle and frankly, they may add to our baby blues/ postpartum depression. Like, cannot do this, cannot do that. Just wondering if there are mummies who don’t pantang at all.

Ive since lost my mucus plug and felt what feels like sharp shooting pain down under. (Exact feeling i felt when inwas 2cm dilated) and now i am feeling extremely bad back pain. 2020-12-26My baby has this kind of spotting around his neck, chest, back of his ear and even chin. There’s patches of redness around his arm too. Have been keeping and making sure there’s no milk underneath his neck folds every single time and always pat dry every folds after shower and feeds but it seems to have spread to other areas.. His redness patch on his arm appeared 3 days after his vaccination but it was given on his thigh.. could it be allergic reaction ?#1stimemom #advicepls
