2020-01-20Abt 18weeks now and I've been trying to sleep on my side as I know that it's better for baby. But every night I spend 2 to 3 hours tossing and turning as I'm really not used to it even with pillows as support etc. Question is shld I keep spending 2 to 3 hrs every night to try get used to it or just sleep on my back and get more rest? 2020-01-20Hi mummies, I’m 16 weeks 5 days long today and for the first time, when i took the bus to work just now, while standing, I felt dizzy at first and slowly, my vision started to reduced and soon i was about to faint. I quickly squat down and started coughing. Has anyone experienced these fainting spells before and how to prevent it from happening again?:(
2020-01-20Seems like there’s various baby educational classes available, usually from 6 months onwards. What do you think would be a good time to start bringing baby to such classes? Really wondering if baby will learn anything at all.
2020-01-20Hi Mummies, I gave birth to my 2nd born 6 months ago. I have a 2 year old daughter. I am a working mum. I had inserted implanon(birth control) right after my son was born as I had a 2nd C section and doctor did not encourage me to have a 3rd one within 3 years. Recently, I had random mood swings that will trigger and i would be moody and upset with little things. Sometime, i get frustrated with the cries and tantrums from the kids that I would walk away for awhile to compose myself and get back to them.And another moment i would be frantically happy. My kids have been falling sick and it has took a toll on my health and work. Sometime I would get upset with myself, thinking if I had done enough or had done something wrong. I have spoken to my husband and being a man i dont expect him to understand how i feel completely. I have tried to remain positive and planned out schedules to have myself organise etc however, there are those moments that I will be down, tired and run down. I am not as motivated as I was before . How do you even help yourself in this situation?

2020-01-20How much breast milk do you all manage to pump out per session? And how long does it take? I seem to be able to pump out only 30ml for both breasts and it takes about ½ hour. It’s so frustrating. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’m using the Spectra M1. It doesn’t seem to be pumping out much. Most of the milk comes from me compressing my breasts. My baby is 4 weeks old fyi.

2020-01-20Been having this feeling like want to poop since midnight but noting come out. Having on n off contractions, n got a really pain just now at 5.30, lasted for 5mins, n 5mins gap. Now the contraction not that strong. Still contemplating whether to go hospital or not. This is my 4th baby. 1st 2 baby natural contraction lasted for 12hours, 3rd one induced, contraction 24hours but dilation is 3cm then csect.

2020-01-20My last period was on 14 Dec 2019. I've been having regular periods for the last 6 months. I'm supposed to get my period on 13 Jan 2020 according to 2 apps. But I have missed my period for 8 days. I'm having pregnancy symptoms; back pain, lower abdomen pain, light headedness, nausea for the past 5 days. I did HPT about 7 times from the day before my missed period everyday, but it was negative. Today I went to a gynae and he did a scan. He wasn't very helpful in advising but he said there was nothing wrong. But I'm wondering how come I'm experiencing all these pregnancy symptoms that I've never experienced before. Is it still took early to detect or is it some other issue? Feeling really anxious as me and my husband are trying for a child and I don't know anything much about pregnancy other than what I've read online. Thanks in advance!

2020-01-20Since 1st and 2nd trimester I've been controlling my intake. Only over eating once in awhile. But ever since 3rd trimester, I eat SO much I'm so scared of my food intake... 2020-01-21Hi mummies I am a ftm here. Is it normal for mummy to feel detached from newborn. When everbaby gets cranky and cry, i feel like im umable to handle baby and want to detached the baby. Like too scared to handle baby. It was all fine at thehospital but ever since we return home, with my mil's care for the babyand her ability to soothe the baby when he is crying, i cant helo but feel torn btw feeling detached, yet i want to fully take care of baby on my own after confinement ends so that i can bond with baby and form secure attachment with baby. 2020-01-21I had undiagnosed diabetes (I didn't get diagnosed but I was bringing it down with diet control and exercise and it was coming down). Then I got preg. And I went to check my sugar immediately and it was high. Went to Thomson gynae for first visit and she wasn't too concerned. She said don't need meds. She asked me to exercise and cut down on carb. Then happened to go KK emergency because had some discharge. KK doc was very worried about sugar and now I am going to follow up at KK for the sugar (subsidised). At appt with my Thomson gynae, she said if KK prescribes meds.. Just take. Wondering how she went from no meds to take meds. :/ that means if I didn't go KK I would have been doing a disservice to my baby....

2020-01-21My 6mths LO was having fever since yesterday 4am. Fed her paracetamol and temp maintained at 37.1-37.-2 then fever went up again after few hours. Her last dose was yesterday 6pm and temp maintained at 37. I woke up at 2.30am and measured her temp and it's 37.8. I fed her paracetamol and after drinking milk, it slowly went down before i dozed off. 530am I measured her temp mad it's 35.4 ? I quickly make her milk and she finished it and her temp went up to 36.4 Before I head out at 6.15am her temp is 36.3 and sleeping soundly. I have never experienced it before. It's normal and nothing to worry?

2020-01-22Hi. Is it a must to shave baby’s head at least once? My in-laws have been nagging to shave it since birth. My son is 15m now, and they still wont let go. They keep telling me shaving is good for the baby. The hair will be even and thicker. Tbh, that doesnt matters to me. And so they changed their statement now. But there's no way to really know whether the teachers will really attend to the kids when they cry or how long they let them cry for? Quite worried as will be sending my LO when she's only 3 mths ? and she requires fair bit of carrying rocking and patting with pacifier to sleep and awakes from her nap v easily n needs to be put back to bed again. Moreover we always pick her up and don't let her cry for long. Also I plan to give ebm for feeding with fm topup, any advice? 2020-01-23I don’t know if I’m worrying excessively but i seem to be having reduced frequency of urination. I have been drinking quite a bit but I don’t find myself visiting the toilet often even though it is expected I should be frequently going to the toilet during my first trimester. My tummy feels bloated and my back aches and I seem to be having some extent of constipation. Can constipation cause reduced urination frequency? I don’t feel the urge to go to the toilet. I also don’t have any signs of UTI like pain when i urinate and fever. Does anybody experience this too?

2020-01-23My 3 month old LO has been having diarrhoea for 9 days already. It started last Thursday (16Jan), we brought her to the PD and got Hirasec & Probiotics.PD diagnosed as virus infection. He also said she's if still not well, go back on Monday. PD mentioned to only feed her BM as they're lots of antibodies etc. Monday (20Jan) came & her condition still didn't improve. Went back to the PD & got the same meds. Today (24Jan) is the 9th day & she's still having the runs. Poop wise is yellow & watery, she poops about 7-8 times (big poops would be 3 times a day). She's still very happy & cheerful, smiling as well. She doesn't seem to be in pain. We're not sure if she might suddenly be lactose intolerance or what. Anyone experience similar issues?

I alr knew I had a missed miscarriage at week 6, I was expecting the bleeding to come any time. after the doctor check and all confirm my body is trying to expel the baby out.. now 4hrs ltr, in bleeding suoer heavy changed (2 pad within 30mins), having extremely painful cramps kind of feels like contractions. not sure if i went back kkh what help would they be since I wanted to let it pass naturally. not sure what to do as well. I keep staining my undies as the blood is too much.. and it rly sucks bc the "contractions" is feel like taunting me i lost my baby
2020-01-23went for my last massage before delivery yesterday, well only manage to secure 2 slots in total bc of finance wise and no time to go. so basically i went for the first in nov, she massaged very gently. felt not effective but i just brush it off and thgt maybe the next which is the last one session will request someone stronger or something. and yesterday i managed to bring myself back there bc im having very bad back and calves pain. and a stronger lady this time tho i didnt ask for it. it was ok. at times super strong but handleable. after the whole massage, my body got abit of uncomfortable sensation. brushed it off again bc im in the hurry to leave. waited for partner to fetch me, my whole tummy area felt like a pulling sensation with sharp pain. my back hurts so bad i almost cried being alone there. reached home in 11/10 pain and uncomfortable, showered and slept thru the pain. i can really feel my whole tummy is getting super uncomfortable and my back pain hurts mad till now. my breast also feels super sensitive after the lady massaged it. its so painful and uncomfortable that i cant continue sleeping ??? im so mad at my condition right now!! QNS IS!!! is after massage supposed to feel extra sore? TT went there feeling ok, go back feel more worse?

2020-01-24I'm almost at my 32nd week and during last appt, no. 2 was measured as 70% bigger than average, which is smaller than no. 1, who was 97% bigger than average baby. I was determined to do a Vbac this time round since it has been 5yrs after my last c sect but this time round, gynae's opinion is still on elective c sect due to size of no. 2 head and abdomen, and started telling me about the risk involved for Vbac. I did my research on both and now still 50/50 on which birth to stick to even though my take on c sect is a bit lower. If I'm adamant on Vbac, I might need to change to a pro vbac gynae but even so, the risk of dystocia or chances of me not dilating might just lead to an emer c sect. Elective c sect wud mean baby will be safely delivered but that very long painful process of recovery will taunt me again. In need of other opinions pls.

2020-01-24Hi my 6 months old LO just got her 6in1 vaccination. She does not cry much probably cried for 5seconds only for each jab. But once we are home and she was having nap I realise she was crying in her nap and when awake she was fussing alot. She has never did that before so I was dumbfounded and did not know what to do. Please advise what should I do? Should I ask her to cry more after jab to let it out? Pretty sure she was quite traumatised by the jab cause even now she is crying a lil in a sleep. She isn't a baby who cries at all. Even hungry she just scream or make a lil noise to get our attention.
