- 2020-11-23Has any mummies went through bleeding during pregnancy in the early trimester? And what i mean by bleeding isnt spotting. Its like menstruating, only that you're not. I've been bleeding for more than 2 weeks. On and off, but sometimes its heavy; sometimes its light. Went to a&e twice and baby heartbeat is well. 1st visit, had my blood tested and my progesterone hormones came back good. Second visit, they assume that there might be bleeding in my placenta and started me on dydrogesterone to support my pregnancy. Even after taking it for a week, I'm still bleeding. Any advice?? Has anyone went through as such?

- 2020-11-23Looking for recommendation. My Budget is around 1.8k a month for rental including utilities. Having trouble finding a place to rent, pls recommend locations if you know of any. The walls of dual key apartment studios are v thin I’m afraid baby crying will disturb the landlord/other tenant.

- 2020-11-23Hi all, this question is probably asked countless times.. I'm 5 weeks pregnant today and started having nausea and sore breasts, is it common for these symptoms to come and go?
- 2020-11-23I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant and got my nausea slightly under control. I need to start drinking milk but don’t like it from before pregnancy. What type of milk should I drink? Any Brand’s to recommend and how about soya bean or flavoured milk. Please provide Brand’s. Thanks! ☺️
- 2020-11-23I have a JOIE stages car seat. Ever since my LO was a newborn, getting her in and out of this car seat is something I’m not confident in. I always let my hubby do that step instead of me.
Does anyone else feel the same?
I believe it’s the fact that having to put my LO in at such a weird angle and her not being able to support her head very well from newborn that makes me feel like I will break her.
She’s 5 months now so it is slightly easier (don’t have to worry about neck so much as compared to earlier) but getting her out is still awkward lol.
Is this why people buy newborn carriers?
Or do you just have a better car seat lol.

- 2020-11-23Hello, my 16mo little one needs to consume antibiotics. He has rejected consuming from a syringe and when we tried to mix it with his meal, he rejected them as well. We tried mixing it into his milk but he seems to be able to detect it halfway through the bottle. Am at a loss and he needs to complete the course with 5 days to go 😞
- 2020-11-23Hi mummies. Which brand of peanut butter is good for my 1 year old? #1stimemom #advicepls
- 2020-11-23How many kids do you have? Or planning to have?
- 2020-11-23My LO is currently 17 months.
He used to say dada and mama though not meaningful. But for about few months, he stopped saying mama and Dada 😔
He's able to repeat words like banana and car if he's asked to. Currently he only says 'mum mum' when he wants food which is all the time 😂
I've heard him saying 'mummy' a few times when he cried but I'm not too sure about it.
Otherwise, he's fine with sensory, interactions, making eye contacts and able to point to us what he wants. He can recognize things by pointing like animals, fruits and vehicle when asked.
Should I be worried or bring him for an assessment?
- 2020-11-23Hello mummies! I’ll be going for my c-sect in a month or so and I’m wondering how many maternity pads I should pack for my 3 nights stay at the hospital? I’ve bought a few boxes of the KOTEX Overnight Panties and plan to wear one for each night. But how many should I pack for the day time? Assuming the bleeding will be .. very heavy..😅 Thank you!

- 2020-11-24Hi mummies, what drinks do you order when you're dining out, now that you're pregnant?
At fast food restaurants/cinemas/restaurants, there're only lemon tea and sweet soft drinks like Coke/Sprite.
At coffeeshop/hawker centres/food courts, it's either hot/iced kopi/tea/Milo, or the various canned drinks.
What's your 'safe' go-to drink when you're eating out? I haven't found mine, and gotta admit I've been drinking canned soft drinks like 100plus, Carrot Juice, Mixed Berries, all of which are probably on the sweeter side, sigh. :(

- 2020-11-25Hi mummies, can I know how do you all handle the remaining fresh vegetables like pumpkin/spinach/capsicum/tomato after taking out a portion for baby? Baby eats so little each time and it’s not very ideal to give the same ingredient everyday right? For the fish/meat can keep freezer so no issues.
I don’t cook for myself at home, only cooking for baby, so find it really hard to reduce the wastage. Always keep the fresh produce until not fresh or spoil.
I used to prep all at one go, blend and freeze in cubes for all the veggies, do you all do this too?

My LO is about 16 months old and I had good supply of milk previously. Recent week, I noticed the dip in milk supply. 2 sessions/day of 600-700ml expressed milk (used to have about 1 litre plus a day when she was younger is becoming about 300 ml only.
I decided to take the pregnancy test and indeed I’m about 5 weeks pregnant . May I check if anyone with similar experience has your supply to dip so much due to pregnancy ?

Many thanks!

- 2020-11-26Hi! First time mummy here, week 9. I'm not very sure what are the essentials to get myself at this stage. Other than vitamins and stretch marks cream, I've no idea what else to be getting for myself at this point! Does anyone have good Black Friday pregnancy product deals to recommend? Your recommendations will be useful all the way for 12.12 sale as well haha! Thanks!
So far I have only put in my Lazada cart, Mustela stretch marks cream 150ml from the official store (now $40.66), and Bio Oil 200ml from Watsons (now $35.90). It'll be a good deal if their prices drop later during Black Friday, esp with all the stackable vouchers right?
Should I also start getting maternity clothes? Any good Black Friday deals for them that you know of?

- 2020-11-26I am a new mother. My child is 4 months old.
My husband has had a drinking problem for a very long time but when our son was born he said he would cut down or maybe stop. I agreed because I know deep down he will be a good dad.
Recently, he has been hiding and ordering alcohol and drinking by himself when our son and I are not home. And so I come home with my 4months old to a man that smells or cigarettes and stale liquor. It happens almost everyday.
When I voice out my feelings he blames me and says I am the reason he is drinking but when he is sober he tells me how amazing of a wife and mother I am. He has recently gotten his mother involved by telling her that I am a broken and unbalanced person and he needs to pick up the pieces of my life. Truth is I am doing good. I am back working and my son is being looked after by my parents and I will usually either work from their home or the office. Either way, my son is doing very well and is a happy baby. I do not ask my husband for anything financial wise cause if helps now he will throw it back at me when he drinks so I do not depend on him in any way. Sometimes, I confide in him about the stress of my work and he also throws it back at me and now I am learning to not confide as well.
I have my parents and my siblings so I confide in them instead. At least no one throws it at my face.
I am in a state where I am thinking if leaving him is ideal cause I can’t have a husband who makes me feel so small, scolds or calls me names and only decides to be a father when he is available to our child. Last. Last night he scolded me for coming back at 7.40pm from my parents home and he was shouting and calling me names and drinking and I just kept quiet and pleaded with him to not shout or fight in front our child. He said no and continued.
I don’t know what to do or to say anymore. I have had a series of anxiety attacks and breakdowns when I am alone cause I am lost. I need to make sure my son had a happy, safe and healthy environment and right now having his father around us does not help.
Can anyone suggest or give me some words of wisdom?

- 2020-11-27Hello,
I will deliver the baby in next March. My husband and I are having a little bit worry about what we need to prepare for our baby.
- about the hospital, we are considering between Mount Elizabeth Novena and Thompson Medical.
- the vaccination, because of Covid-19 so we can't back to our home country, so we decide after the baby delivering, when our baby is 2 months old, we will back home. So I'm worry about how can I sync the vaccination between SG and our home country. Anybody experiencing this issue?

- 2020-11-27I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant today. In March this year, I gave birth to my baby due to mid-term pregnancy termination as baby had Downs Syndrome, half a brain and physical deformities that will need a lifetime of surgeries.
I am scared for my current pregnancy. All seems well and the first trimester screening test (oscar) showed very low risk. But I can't help feeling the fear that something will be wrong with this pregnancy.
We will have the 20 week detailed scan in 2 weeks. I cannot stop feeling anxious about it till I get sleepless nights. My husband tells me its all God's will and we have to be patient and calm.
I just can't help it! 😢😢😢

- 2020-11-27Seriously, my kids has been attending the preschool for almost 2 years. But still reluctant to go school every morning. Must cry every morning unless u term with them to reward them (but also won’t work all the time).
The teachers are quite nice. They have been teaching the kids new songs and things. Sometimes they will come back singing a new song to me. But just don’t want to go school everyday.
What’s wrong? How can I improve and make them go school happily? Shall I change a school? I’m just afraid the teachers may not be as nice from the new school. 🤷🏻♀️
Any advice is appreciated!

- 2020-11-28I am a full time working mum while my husband is a SAHD. During weekdays I am busy with work and weekends are the only time I bond with my baby. My baby is on breastmilk and we direct latch during weekends as well.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, my husband's friends organised gathering but the max no of visitors is 5. My husband wanted to bring baby alone for the outing (without me) due to the restrictions in number of visitors. I refused and my husband got angry. Is it reasonably for me to not allow him to bring baby alone? I just want to spend more time during weekends with my baby and let him latch. Did I do anything wrong?
