2020-10-1237 weeks are considered full term, we can choose to get it induce or to wait (naturally) I gave birth at 37 weeks sharp as I started to dilate at 36 weeks and I had contractions , extreme pain everywhere especially my pelvic area. I had bloody show afterwards but my waterbag didn't break so my gynae poked my waterbag at 12 midnight sharp on 37 weeks as she told me it is considered full term so it's safe. I am currently 32 weeks with my second pregnancy and I was wondering if I will be giving birth on 37 weeks too? 2020-10-12I'm almost at the end of the 6th week after giving birth and still seeing bleeding. It is bright red blood that will soak a medium day-use sanitary pad, not brown blood trace. In my previous delivery when I finished bleeding on 3rd week. So the current situation quite surprised me. Is this normal? Anyone encounter similar situation as me? It's so obvious they trying to make sure they can get more gov subsidies and gov money by having more people in the household , so when the salary gets divided, it's less and possible to get more . 2020-10-13Hi fellow mummies, My 8 week old has not been finishing his bottle feeds recently. He was doing about 110ml and recently he takes 20-30min to finish 60-70ml then starts to fidget and use his tongue to push out the bottle teat. We have tried to burp him and RE-feed but he simply just pushes the teat out with his tongue again and just wants to play/sleep. He then gets hungry again at about 1hr later to complete the remaining 40-50ml. The time difference between each feed is about 3.5-4hour for each fresh bottle we give him. Any tips/advices to help him finish his milk at one seating? Ps: we have tried changing to a faster flowing teat but no success at all Thanks in advance

2020-10-13i’m a young first time mom whose taking care of lo full time since birth on my own with hubby help, we do not have our own place so we’re staying wif my mom. I was raised by my grandma as my parents were never around, always working, always drinking. My parents have forced me to undergo 2 previous abortions as I was unwed, & they deemed that I was unable to care for a child’s on my own n will always ask for help. If I didn’t abort i will get kicked out. Now that I have a baby (7mos), they are OBSESSED with her. Not that it’s a bad thing since they love her but they constantly wanna hog my lo, if I try to take her away to go nap/feed/diaper change or something they will say things like “wa u very obsessive leh.” “cannot play with her ah??” “why everytime lock her in the room? later she not used to other people” If I say that I’m bringing her to feed or sleep or change diaper they will say, “aiya later la” even though she’s clearly hungry or sleepy or in discomfort n crying. Then they will say to her “why u cry? see mommy u cry right? ok mommy go away u stay with me ok? don’t cry already, beat u ah” They refuse to change her as they say it’s not their duty, they can’t feed her because she’s too active to be fed unless she calms down but they love to hype her up, they can’t make her nap as well because they have no patience n love too hype her up. They also constantly want to bring her out alone without me when they’ve already clearly proved incapable to taking care of her even at home, she’s worse outside n they can’t even change her diaper. Always saying “nevermind just let her cry” They also constantly wanna feed her thing like salted veg, chocolate, biscuits, candies n grapes. They also LOVEEE to tell me what to do, how to raise her etc when they never raised me on their own. But at the end of the day, they’ll just “return” her to me when she’s crying so badly n starving.

2020-10-14im at my 34 weeks now. my stomach has been super tight especially after dinner, and will constantly be tight till i fall asleep. when my baby moves, it feels even tighter and painful because of the movement. What's the cause of this? Im not sure if its Braxton Hicks because i read that it last few seconds. But for mine, its longer. There isn't any other symptoms. Is it because i eat too much? Or? 2020-10-15It started on 3rd trimester. It started off being very itchy. Gradually the skin thickens and develop on its own. Dry, scaly, red and inflamed. Even though you didn't scratch it.. it continue to spread to wider area. No matter how much i moisturize it with pure coconut oil (hourly basis), the skin is still dry, scaly and red.
2020-10-15Out of nowhere, LO suddenly refuses food that she normally ate without fussing. She would push everything out with her tongue, or throw her food onto the floor. I try my best not to whip up something else whenever she refuses to eat for fear of fuelling her pick eating habits, but I can't possibly let her go hungry either. 2020-10-15Anyone can give me some advice pls. I'm a first time mum. Due to my MIL cant cope w my currently 9m baby alone, i took a maid since Aug. Her current duties is to take care of my baby, feed, bathe, play etc and house chorse Wake up at 6am, sleep at 10pm (almost daily i let her in by 8plus or 9plus PM). She doesn't have to cook at all. However i feel like whenever im back home from work she is busy doing something but when i look at the CCTV in the afternoon she is having her rest like 1 hr or so (which idm as long as work is done). I believe i gave my helper a lot of freedom as she is free to use her phone (she doesn't use during work which is really good) , able to rest if she is tired, able to eat any timing and even with us. (After all she is a human too right) Do u give your helper a rest in the afternoon? What time do they wake up and sleep?

2020-10-15Hello all, just went for my cervix check today (15 Oct) and doc said I’m only 1cm dilated. My EDD is on Monday (19 Oct) and was suggested by doc to get myself admitted for induction. There wasn’t any scans at all from my last one at 36 weeks where doc told me baby weighed 3.1kg. I’m really scared as I heard many stories that induced labour is so much more painful. Also it could be hours, days to weeks before I am fully dilated and it will not guarantee natural birth as well. Other than walking, squats, climbing stairs, rocking on a gym ball, having sex, what else can I try to help kickstart the contraction? As my heels are aching so badly from all the water retention and it hurts like hell walking Long distance or even standing. And I’d like to know how long did it take you to dilate from 1cm? #firstbaby

Last time, moderate pain but now, lesser pain. Anyone have similar experience? We went to see doctor in hospital. He said it may be intestine inflammation or intestine adhesion. So he suggests her to go for CT scan. We not sure whether we should go for CT scan.

2020-10-16I think the way my MIL handle my newbor bb is incorrect but she jus sooooo stuborn and doesnt wan to listen and act like so experience! She said my hubby also taken care by her lastime so she know how. Example: 1. She left the milk >1hr then feed him again (coz bb cannot finish). I told her this will cause bb stomach upset. She said jus apply the oil to dispel the "wind" 2. Everyday she disturb my bb to wake up at 8am, sometimes 7am+ to shower my bb even my bb still sleeping. Even bb is awake i dont think shud bath him so early in the morning..(so poor thing) I dont know how, even my hubby told her she still do lidat, she always said she vry experience.. lol #firstbaby #1stimemom

2020-10-16Hi all, I’m currently week 6 day 5 now. Today I woke up to pee and saw there were this kinda brownish blood when I wiped. It does get lesser with each wipe, I wore a panty liner but it so far it’s been 6 hours but it’s not stained. After an hour when I wiped it’s still like this. Is this normal? Like implantation bleeding or leftover blood? I don’t feel any excess major pain in my back or abdominal. Pls help!

2020-10-17Hello mummies, I would like to seek your opinion regarding wfh with baby. My baby is currently 5months old. My baby can flip continuously, change 180° direction within 2 minutes and can crawl a bit. My baby is quite obedient. I'm thinking of applying for a wfh customer service job as I need income. However, there are some factors which makes me hesitate. Baby turning 6months old and will start to learn how to swallow food. I need to teach baby how to sit, how to hold milk bottle, how to hold the utensils and eat the food and how to walk as time passes by. I also have to cook for my family daily and do house chores every 2 days, I also need to trim my baby nails every 3days. I'm not sure whether should I try to work or not. 2020-10-17Just ranting. My husband and I wanted to do confinement on our own without the unsolicited advice from the others. But my mum insisted on moving in for a month because many other relatives pressured her of not helping and she thinks that we cannot do it on our own. We are very grateful for her offer but we would really like to try to work things out on our own and yes we know that it’ll be very tiring after birth and all. We’ve also mentioned that we will ask for help when we need them. But now that I’ve insisted on asking my mum not to move in, she is very unhappy about it and is now my fault for all the unhappiness.
