- 2020-09-286AM- I felt trickle of water which I assumed it to be discharge so I just changed underwear and put on a pad then go back to sleep.
9AM- woke up and the water just gushed out of me like running tap water open in full. Showered and called the husband to come back from work.
11AM-no contractions still. Book a grab and off to TMC since they asked me to come.
1PM- doctor checked me and i was not dilated.
2PM- Gynae asked if I wanted to be induced or go home and wait for contractions but I have to report at 7AM in the hospital tomorrow if still nothing.
Now Im home because I dont want to be induced but I dont know what to do to speed up the process and because I’m leaking so much I dont feel like moving much.
Has it happened to anyone? What do you do?

- 2020-09-28Hi all, i was wondering is there any difference on giving formula or breast feed like will it make you less of a mother or even your child won’t recognise you that you are the mother just cause you never breast feed? I breast feed my child for first 2weeks & stop and gave her formula . She did not latch on my breast cause i had bad engorgement and only massage it after a week and pump she was alr bottle feeding alr. But you know the thoughts of like will my baby love and recognise me as her mother? 😭

- 2020-09-28I feel my FIL is jealous that my baby is clingy to me. He said infront of me 'aiya mummy number 1 la mummy baobei la'
There is one time I was trying to open the high chair with one hand, another hand carrying baby he would come over and offer to carry my baby.
Same thing happened when I was making milk.
I was wondering why dont he help me to do it then??
He would always bring my baby to his room and play behind closed doors.
Whenever my baby crawl from living room to my room and look for me he would carry her away.
Why the hell would he stop my child from looking for her mother? Is he mentally pervert?
Told my husband and he only had one thing to say 'aiya they old alr la just let them be'
I seriously think they dont respect me and I dont even wanna respect them.
What would you do? Tahan until you get your own place?

- 2020-09-29Hi Mummies, just a few questions from a FTM here!
I’m not sure if I can produce milk right after birth but the hospital will feed my newborn with formula right?
Question 1:
What happens when I am on the way home and baby is hungry? I mean assuming baby is crying because she could be hungry, what do I do if I don’t have breastmilk yet? Will the hospital give us some formula milk to take home? Should I bring my own milk bottle? Does that mean I have to standby a thermal flask as well?
Question2:
Assuming I can already produce milk after birth, where can I store my breastmilk (if let’s say I’m pumping BM) in the hospital while waiting for baby’s next feed? Should I bring breastmilk storage bags? And then where do I keep my BM? No fridge in subsidised Wards right?
Question 3:
Do I need to bring nursing pads for breasts? I’ve packed 8 pairs cause really don’t know what to expect. Is it too much?
Question 4:
I’ll be delivering in KKH under subsidy and I’ve heard horror stories too many times and praying it doesn’t happen to me but any chance I can bring a donut pillow to sit on after delivery as I heard you’ll need to sit on the wheelchair right after a normal delivery (with stitches and all) which is absolutely absurd so that’s why I was thinking of bringing an inflatable donut pillow. Any of you encountered that before?
My EDD is 19 Oct and preparing my hospital bag now, and pretty nervous while at it!

- 2020-09-29I was at 26 weeks day 6 (ystrday) when i had "stitches". You know, the stinging pain when you run or walk alot or after run. It's like come and go. The pain is at my lower stomach. I had it 4 times. Came and stayed for like a good 5 mins, and then gone for 2 mins. Then it came again. Total 4 times before i lay down and fell asleep crying. When i woke up, it was gone. And today, i feel like having diarrhoea, but only toilet 2 times. But the stomach pain is like twirling in my stomach. Is it braxton hicks? Im scared it's contractions as it's still early to have it?
- 2020-09-29Hi everyone. Its my first time taking a helper. I've gotten many warnings before deciding to take one. I decided to take helper instead of sending my current 10m old to IFC as there were no vacancy at my area.
I need advice if its okay for me to get my helper to eat before i come home? Which im usually home by 6.45pm. Is it too early?
Also i have warned my helper so many times on being careful on road. So many times when she pushed the stroller or keep the stroller she will be very slow and always have the habit on blocking people's way and stopping in the middle of the road. I have warned so many times nicely but it doesn't work.
I also find her very slow in her work. Sometimes when i tell her to do something she doesnt get it done.
I gave her rest in the middle of the day. Usually release her at 8plus or 9plus after my baby sleeps. I let her use her hp if she needs (she wont use only during rest time which is really good). She only have to do housework and takecare of my baby so if she is busy my MIL will help out. My MIL is the one cooking so my helper have never cooked.
- 2020-09-29Any mummies out there who is pregnant again after 8mths post-csect?

- 2020-09-29Ariana Aaleeyah Binte Arif
Born on 29 September 2020, at 3.5KG
Our first baby princess ❤️
On 28 September at 645AM, my waterbag was already leaking but I kept thinking it was just some sort of discharge or pee so I went back to sleep at 7AM. At 9AM, I woke up and gush of fluid came out non stop so I called Arif who was at work that morning to come home as I was already in labour.
We took our time because I haven’t had any contractions at that moment. I took a long shower and we both made our way to the hospital at 11AM.
Gynae came to see me at 12PM and told me I was not dilated yet but confirmed waterbag broke. She asked me if I would like to speed up the process(something like induced) or go home and wait for contractions otherwise to come back at 7AM the next day.
At home, 430PM, I felt contractions but I was unsure if it was and assume it to be braxton hicks. It then got consistent and we rushed to the hospital at 645PM.
8PM, gynae came and mentioned that my contractions was consistent but I am still only 2CM dilated.
Around 9PM, Contractions got stronger and I had fever of 38.7 which increased at 39.7! Contractions was 2 mins apart and I started groaning in pain. Laughing gas was given but I got too high and nauseous. I asked for epidural.
11PM, the epidural was given and I soon started relaxing and laughing but shivering badly because they had to put me in cold room, sponge me with cold towel and also the side effect of epi.
They kept checking my cervix and I was only 3CM dilated then. Tried to sleep but kept woken up every hour to be sponged and given all sorts of medicine. By drip, by pill in the bum, by mouth. The nurses were so worried because mine and baby’s heartbeat was high. They told me that I might be going for emergency Csect.
7AM, gynae came and I was 4CM dilated but baby is still in high position. Best news for that day so far is my fever had dropped and baby’s heartbeat was normal. She predicted that I will be giving birth in the afternoon.
830AM, morning batch of nurses were then worried about our baby’s heartbeat that has gotten very low and my cervix is not progressing neither had the baby effaced. They told me to be prepared for emergency csect but the gynae will make the call.
They kept checking me every 30 mins and kept changing my position, gave me oxygen mask to ensure baby’s heartbeat goes back to normal but nothing improved.
1115AM, her heartbeat stopped and gynae ordered for emergency csect on the spot. I was put to sleep.
I woke up at around 1230PM to only know that my babygirl will be brought to NUH. She came out with no heartbeat and not breathing but was resuscitated by the PD. The nurses who operated me cried along with my husband after the operation and said that our baby is a miracle baby that was brought back to life!
I cried and broke down so hard.. not only did I not get to have skin to skin to her. I haven’t got the chance to even see her or gave her first feeding. Ya Allah, my heart was in so much pain. So much that nothing else hurts more than not being able to hold her!
Mama called me and even though she had bad asthma attack, she cried with me and kept telling me to calm down 😢
MIL and BIL came over to accompany me for a while because baby girl had to be rushed to KKH where it is better equipped to handle her. She needed to be put into NICU for couple of days. My husband needed to settle everything else. With no sleep at all he had to be rushed here snd there.
Soon my elder sister came with her husband and 5th born despite being so sick and drained out. Ya Allah, I cant thank them all enough to come and give me all the support I needed. My heart was still aching but I felt better. So much better.
Still in the ward, I kept hearing the newborn crying and each time I yearn for her. All I had is just her beautiful photo and her shivering like her mummy when I was in Delivery Suite. Her health is more important than anything else. I just can only pray that she will recover. What a fighter she is :’)
Thank you Ariana sayang for battling to breathe again. Mummy loves you soooo much. I am so sorry you had to go through this. I want you in my arms so badly. I am thankful that you responded to your daddy when daddy told you that I love you so much baby girl.
Please keep Ariana Aleeyah Binte Arif in your prayers. This means so much to me. Thank you so much :’)

- 2020-09-30Hi all.
I bought Be Free pumps. I'm 90% EP mum and latch as and when I can. My baby is 2 wks old. i supplement FM but most of the time he drinks my EBM. My yield is around 70-120ml per pump. I try to pump 3-4 hrly.
I just feel that Be Free pumps doesnt really clear my breasts. I was thinking to get a spare pump that is portable so I can use it alternately with my Be Free.
should i get Real Bubee (heard its lifespan not that long cos cheap), Spectra 9+ or other pumps that u ladies can recommend me? And if possible, doesnt use up too much battery so i dont need to keep charging.
thank youuuu

But currently it happens most of the time everyday. I feel its getting worse. I been having this everyday until i started to feel kinda pain when i press my upper rib cage recently.. I tried sleep with many stacked pillow, eat lesser amount but more often, take Galviscon, eat less oily, but still never help much. Is there mummies ever experience such bad heartburn before, anything I can do, or anything i can apply on the pain to at least feel abit cool down. It is really really uncomfortable.. 😢😢😢

- 2020-10-01My LO is turning 4 weeks soon and he still have difficulties latching and i feel frustrated with myself. I don't want to end up taking the anger onto him. At times it seems easy even when he's crying out loud. But most of the time i just want to give up. I have no choice but to pump so he still gets breastmilk. I cried after realising that I can't remember the last time he latches on me. Anybody else faces the same issue as me?

- 2020-10-01I know it can be a bit silly to ask but i just would like some reassurance.. Is it normal to not have proper sleep and rest with a newborn? 😢 No helper around to help with housework. Exclusive pumping and washing of milk bottles and feeding baby are enough to tire me out...
- 2020-10-01Hello mummies I’m sorry for being annoying but today I went to the gynae and he says I have mild high blood and diabetes. And yet my husband says he’s actually not worried because I do not and the doctor is just prescribing me for prevention? Hello? And the first thing he says before this is ‘it’s my first child I won’t be so unlucky? Hello how about me? Prevention? The doctor clearly says I have mild blood pressure and I might have fits and it would be dangerous if I don’t get it controlled. And he’s being so insensitive about it? Sometimes I wonder if he really cares me? Really bawled my eyes out sometimes because of him his words are so uncaring and not helpful at all. He would throw verbal insults at me even thou he don’t raise his fist at me. I’m tired of his ways and thought of leaving so many times. But I’m pregnant with my first child I don’t know if I’m able to cope. Because of my pregnancy Im unsuitable for work, as I’m in my 24th week. And also I don’t Wan my child to grow up in a broken family. That’s why I bit my tongue and continue with it. Really in a dilemma.
- 2020-10-01Hi

Many thanks!

- 2020-10-01When we first got married, my hubby insisted that we stay near my in-laws who are retired so that they can help take care of our kids in future. My MIL also said that we should stay nearby. But one day, even before I got pregnant, my MIL suddenly said that she don’t want to take dare of my kids because she is tired and wants her “freedom”. But she was ok taking care of her daughter’s kids aka my sister in law’s kids.
Even when my kids are sick now, my MIL also never offered to help out or do anything. My own mother who is still working had to take leave to help me out.
Is it true that a daughter in law will never match up to a daughter? Feeling so tired and disheartened...

- 2020-10-02Just a random question, is it normal to have childhood memories that goes all the way back to 2 years old or even younger?
Ever since giving birth to my daughter, I've been having lots of flashbacks and even remember every details of each toy I used to have such as a musical mobile toy that I had when I was a baby that was given as my Full Month celebration gift. I remember it in the exact color and its movement of the toy.
I even remember the clothes I used to have, hair clips, shoes, furnitures, and even my emotions and feelings when I was a child.
This is so weird but fun at the same time as I discuss all the details with my mom and verify them one by one with her 😂

- 2020-10-02Hi mummies,
My baby is 22days old. 2 days ago, we changed her fomular from NaN opticpro HA to non HA stage 1. We changed it cause we felt that she doesn't have any sign of allergies and we initially bought the wrong type.
She was constipated for about more than 12 hours after the 2nd day of Opticpro and recently had these 2 poos. Its more towards greenish yellow and soft clumps. Does it look okay or should I be worried?
We are thinking to kiv cause we just changed her fomular and her body is adjusting.
