- 2020-09-07I engaged this confinement agency in May 2020, last Thursday i just discharged from the hospital they let nanny come over my place then next day ask the nanny to leave and replace another to come ok fine for me worse was this replaced nanny came on Friday then today Monday the agent told me the nanny got to go tomorrow noon for another job and there will not be any replacement nanny coming over to help me out anymore!
Worse was she even told me that i should be able to handle it by myself already by showering for the baby and do everything by myself since after 28 days, i still got to handle it by myself so make no difference..
She refund me back my money but not full amount, she pro-rated out the amount.
I have never experienced such thing before in my life, this is the first time.
So mummies, remember not to engage this confinement agency!!

- 2020-09-08I've recently went thru mid-term termination due to abnormalities of my baby. My gynae has then prescribed me with fertility pills for my ttc plan. The pill is to be taken on my 2nd menses after termination.
My friend has advised me to go for tcm to "tiao" my womb first. I'm not sure if I should go to tcm.
Besides going to TCM, what can I do to care fro my womb? I'm still continuing drinking red dates tea since confinement. Will this help also?
Anyone knows if will there be any issue if I consume the fertility pill and concurrently seeing TCM and take TCM med?
- 2020-09-08Dinner Cola chicken for my girl
Cola chicken wing
* 12 pics of chicken wings
* 3 tablespoons oil
* 4 slices ginger
* 2 garlics slices
* 1 can of cola
* 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
* 1 tablespoons oyster sauce
* 1 piece of star anise
* 1 small cinnamon stick(optional)
Wash and clean the chicken wings. Cut the wings at the joint, and pat the chicken dry with a paper towel.
Per heat the wok until it starts to smoke. Add the oil, and spread it around to coat the bottom of the wok. Now add the ginger , garlic and the chicken wings. Spread out the wing pieces in a single layer, and lightly brown them for a few minutes on each side. The wok should be over high heat.
And the dark soy sauce, oystersauce, and (if using), the star anise and cinnamon stick and last add in the cola over the wing with the cola .
Bring it to a boil, cover the lid, and turn down the heat to medium.
Let simmer until the sauce is almost dry (though there should still be a small pool of sauce at the bottom of the wok). Stir the wings
Now turn up the heat, and quickly stir the wings until the sauce coats each piece. Serve!

- 2020-09-08My almost 8mo baby who started solids at 6mo is not a fan of porridge to start with. But when he finally willing to take a full bowl of them consecutively for 2-3 days and I thought he finally accept but after that he refuse them again for the next 2-3 days. I wonder if this is normal and if they will eventually eat per normal....
Anyway I will just feed him milk after that few spoons of porridge Cos I’m afraid that he is not full enough. It is so stressful feeding solid 😫

I miss the way she looks and I don’t feel sexually attracted to her anymore. She’s a good mum and wife and I still love her. I have not cheated on her and don’t intend to, but I would like her to start grooming herself again.
How do I talk to her without upsetting her?

- 2020-09-08Does any expecting mummies here was prescribed 21st Century Prenatal vitamins and drinking Anmum Materna at the same time?
I read the label that the vitamins already have 800mg of folic acid + some amount of the same in the anmum milk.
Is too much folic acid good or dangerous for pregnancy? I still have ½ a packet of the milk powder & I was prescribed the vitamins today.

- 2020-09-10Hi all, i'm a daddy to a almost 06 month old baby. Me & my wife have not had sex since we found out she was pregnant in June 2019. So it's almost 15 months we last had sex. When baby was in the tummy, I just didn't like the idea although everybody says it's ok. Now that baby is out, both our focus is all to baby. I'm not complaining, just wondering if it's normal that there are couples out there not having sex for their baby? Btw, I still love them both tremendously. Advises please.

- 2020-09-11I got pregnant right after a chemical pregnancy without period. When I went to polyclinic, the dr is unable to tell me how far along I am without a normal menstrual cycle to calculate based on. Anyone experienced this before. Feeling a bit worried and anxious.

Is there any remedy to this ?
- 2020-09-11LO started school already but heard other parents offered a cheaper rate.
- 2020-09-11Its been 1 week since im back from hospital after deliver my son via emergency c sect. But i still having difficult get off from bed with pain. I can turn to my side cause of pain especially down there.
- 2020-09-11When did/would you introduce spicy food to your child?
- 2020-09-11It's been days that I saw the 2 above discharge on my panty liner. I really think it has something to do with the kidney stones inside my kidneys which was confirmed last year. Or is it normal during pregnancy? While I wear panty liner daily because of the discharge, I do change them frequently and I do not wear them at bed time.
The discharge does not have any foul smell. Everytime I take urine test, there will always be traces of blood in it. Even my urine has no foul smell. So I suspected the kidney stones. Or am I wrong?
I am currently 14w1d pregnant and am really worried. I thought of going to the polyclinic on Monday. Or should I head down to A&E straight ?

- 2020-09-11I do not recommend Rejoice Pregnancy.
The lactation consultant was very rude to me; speaks to me in a very condescending manner.
While I engaged them with a pre-natal massage promo, she keeps repeating that "this is not a massage service, if you want massage you can get it elsewhere". I am not illiterate, I knew what I had signed up for.
When asked about how to relieve my lower legs swelling, she replied, "You also know what!"
During the time when she was introducing the "birth & breast feeding" package to me, we discussed when was the good time to make an appointment. While the package stated that session will start on week 30, she explained that we can start on week 35 as there is not slots availability. But we have to "work very hard". To secure the appointment slot I wanted, I need to make payment soon. Which I did.
She then turned up on the wrong date, at week 30. The date which we have agreed on is exactly 1 month later, on the same date.
Why would I make an appointment on a day which I clearly knows I will be working?
On the phone, she said again, "this is not simply a massage service". And she implied over the phone that I have to forfeit / make payment for this 1 session (800SGD for 5 sessions) because I am not at home then (when she came at the wrong date). Adding that, "all appointments have to go through office, I cannot make appointment"
I contacted the company, which then decided to refund and terminate my contract without consulting me because they cannot "accommodate" to my appointment request.
Not only was the lactation consultant rude and irresponsible, the company treats customers are at their disposal. They dispose and terminate contract services at their own convenience with no alternative solutions offered, and no discussions held.
I should also add on that the Lactation Consultant used my toilet without flushing. She is the one on the Home Page of the company official website.
While I tolerated her nonsense and all the humiliation that I had to face. The termination of my contract without consulting me was the last straw.
I do no need such unnecessary emotional trigger at this crucial period.

- 2020-09-11Hi mommies, my lo is 15 months old now is taken care by mil. I do not like mil to take care of my lo but have no choice. And i am really happy lo is going to childcare soon at 18 months.
Now i am thinking of having 2nd child but i cant imagine having to go through another 18m for mil to take care of 2nd lo. Hubby does not agree sending to ifc. It makes me not want a 2nd child but i feel like it is not right to not want a 2nd child just because of this reason! I mean i want a 2nd child. But the thought of my mil taking care of lo again is so bad!
Help!!!!
- 2020-09-11Do/ Did you have any favourite song/rhythm for your baby during pregnancy?
- 2020-09-11Dear mummies. I need help, I no longer know what I can do anymore. All I want is to have some time with my son and my husband is taking him away from me as much as he can. Today he took our son that is ( 17months old ) away from me as i was about to feed him dinner. Our boy was so scared and crying as my husband was being ferocious about taking him away from me. As I have not start to feed our son, I just wanted to feed him before he take him away, and yet he took him and left the house without bringing his food and water bottle and both of them have been out for almost an hour which has past my son's dinner time. Earlier in the evening, I rushed home after my work end just to bring our son down for a walk to nearby supermarket and was caught by him at the lift lobby and he said that I did not tell him I was bringing his son out, and told our son in a threatening tone “do not anyhow go out with an outsider”. During my whole journey with our son, my husband did not play the part of a father or a husband, in many accounts, while sleeping, our son cried in the middle of the night and all he did was being mean and shouted at me or get pissed off by not making our son sleep back as soon as possible. Even during my confinement period, all I ask for is that little amount of rest, not only he did not help, but he did not want to be involved in any part of it. Ever since giving birth, I had to pay our child’s expenses without his financial help, not only paying for the baby, but also ask me to pay for the stay at his place. Because I have a lower income than him, instead of helping, he asked why I am earning so little and said that I should try to earn more and further my studies to find a higher paying job and not asking for his help. I really just want my boy to grow up nice and proper, to have a happy childhood and to be able to see him more and hug him when I can. But all I get is nights of our boy being locked away from me, nights and nights as he wanted to stay in separate rooms. There’s so many times he would threaten me to kick me out of the house. It has been a torture both emotionally and physically for my son and I. As I do not want my family to get worried about me over such situations I am in, can any mummies out there give me advice?

- 2020-09-12Hi all,
I noticed that my 7 week old baby is drinking lesser (I’m bottle feeding). Prior to this, I’ve been feeding every 2 - 3 hours and 80ml per feed (total about 600 - 700ml per 24hours). Recently she has been drinking very inconsistent amount that can vary between 20 - 80ml each feed (total about 500 - 600ml per 24hours).
I also noticed that she starts to get really fussy during feeds and refuses feed in the middle when she has only drank about 40 - 50ml.
Is this normal or what should I do to encourage her to drink?
PS: Doctor recommended 8 feeds per 24 hour between 100 - 120ml which is 800 - 960ml which means my baby is drinking a lot lesser.
