- 2020-08-31Anyone is taking Aspirin during the pregnancy? I have stroke history & i have stopped taking it for the past 1year. My gynae and neurologist warned me that I must take because it’s a high risk pregnancy. I realised I actually gained weight & became ‘swollen/bloated’ after taking it daily. I was maintained at 51-52kg till 24weeks and now 55kg at 26.3weeks today. I feel my appetite became bigger too. Anyone experience the same thing too?

- 2020-08-31Hi, I went for an ultrasound scan at 7th week pregnancy and couldn’t spot fetal pole and was diagnosed that it’s likely to be blighted ovum. Came back for another ultrasound scan at 10th week pregnancy and spotted a fetal pole which is 6th week in size... understand baby is likely not healthy cos it’s growing very slowly... anyone with similar experience? Can share? Thank you so much.

Thank you in advance

- 2020-09-01Hello peeps. Recently I was told that B2+ is no longer available in Kkh (probably due to covid) . Was really disappointed as it is the only subsidised ward with AIR CONDITIONING!!
Oh well it is what it is. Because air con is a must for me therefore I am probably going to opt for b1 ward! I'm planning to go for election c section due to low placenta but was wondering the bill size.
Understand there is estimate bill size in kkh Web page but honestly the estimation doesn't tally with what I've seen on Asian parents comments.
Take B2+ as an example. The total payable on the Web page states $0 for cesarean but I've seen feedbacks where people paid 1k++! For natural with the same ward class after medisave. So what's what?
Hopefully someone who did cesarean at B1 ward can advise me the real estimate price!
Else I'll pray for B2+ to open up in Oct!!!

There is a Sparkletots at our block but due to no vacancy so I didn’t enrol him there until they called to say there is vacancy next year (N1). My mil complain is too tedious to pick him up daily since we have a preschool at same block. But we parents really feel that the current sch is gd and boy adapting well. The cost diff is $50.Another option is to have school bus to pick him. What will u do? Or this age it doesn’t matter where they study

- 2020-09-02Hi...How to get lab reports and ultrasound scan result reports from Singapore General hospital.please tell me if anybody have idea.
- 2020-09-02Hi all. I need some advice. I recently remarried, expecting now and due nov. I have a child from previous marriage and i work full time.
This is my husband first child. Ever since being pregnant, the first few weeks was hard as I developed sudden hatred towards my husband and i just couldn’t get near him without feeling disgusted (i swear its the weird hormones. Not intentional) intimacy was really an issue for my husband where he kept complaining when we’re not able to have intercourse. I will always have cramps after every intercourse so I didn’t want to do it and of course gynae asked that we stop until after i give birth for safety of me and baby. Fought so many times over this. Lasted for a dew weeks. Later on it disappears and got better. We used to be very active and pregnancy made me hate being intimate so so much. Now i started going back to disliking him. I overheard husband saying few more months to go before things go back to normal. I replied “cannot guarantee ah becoz Im not sure how long my body will need to completely recover. We carried the baby for 9 months, it is only fair for our body to take around the same duration for it to heal completely. “Husband got really upset and started saying i am exaggerating and asking why until like that i say. He has never heard anyone taking so long to heal.
Sometimes i feel so stressed till i feel i made the wrong decision to remarry. I really don’t know how else to explain to he will still be alive without sex sigh

- 2020-09-03Hi mummies.. I'm a working mother who have to leave my lo with my helper while I'm at work.. My helper is just with me for 2 months.. The first month everything was going well and smooth till I returned to work.. Then her attitude totally changed and she started aruging back with me when I correct her mistakes..
I caught her pouring my ebm down the sink and lying that baby has finished the milk.. My baby takes a long time to eat solids and if fed patiently she eats more.. But I noticed my helper is always rushing her to eat and when she does that baby rejects the food.. She then tells me that baby dosent want to open her mouth.. Thats not true cause when Hubby me or my mum feeds, even though its time consuming baby eats her food..
I do not overload my helper with other chores.. All she has to do is just be with my baby till me or my hubby gets back from work and all other chores are to be done when we are back.. Yet, she always rushes to get things done for my baby.. Yesterday I caught her scolding my baby that she was a difficult baby and she just dosent want to open her mouth.. kept repeating to baby that she was difficult.. my naive little one still smiling back at her not knowing she was being scolded.. :'(
I am shattered mamas. I think you all know what I am feeling right now.. Please advice what you think I should do.. I'm a frontliner and have been on long leave before the helper came and now with this kind of helper I feel very insecure to leave my baby under her care.. its also not easy to get a new helper at this point so I'm feeling lost right now.. #advicepls

- 2020-09-03Hi, any mummies has done this before? I am 18weeks and thought of changing my gynae. I heard from the private Gynae that they require my report from KKH. However, I went to the website to retrieve the gynae report but there is no right option. Anyone has experience in this? Thank you
- 2020-09-03Hi Mommies,
I had introduced bottle to feed EBM once or twice a day to my LO from 2+ weeks and she seemed to be taking it like a pro. It was Philips avent bottle with I teat.
However, from the day she turned 1 month, she started rejecting the bottle completely. When trying, she takes in 10-20 ml max and then pushes the bottle out & starts crying hysterically.
Have tried different teats for avent and Pigeon bittle as well, but no luck.
Any mom faced the same? How to get my baby to take bottle at least once or twice a day?

Went for my 2nd scan at 10 weeks (based on lmp) and to my surprise, we saw a fetal pole measuring 6 weeks in size without heartbeat.. Going back for a review in a week’s time which will be more conclusive. Meanwhile, I am mentally prepared for a miscarriage but hoping for the best. Anyone with similar experience? Care to share? - 2020-09-05Hello my baby is 7 month old and going thru growth spurt.
I'm EP and baby cant latch.
Has been pumping around 650-700ml per day and baby usually take 600ml BM.
However now she wants 720ml
I'm thinking of 600 day time bm while night time feeding FM.
But I'm not sure how much to feed, I search online says is around 180ml per feed but my baby had never taken> 120ml per feed.
I'm not sure if she can drink finish so much.
Any parents have such issue??
