2020-07-21Just want to share my frustration please don't judge. Recently the lifts in malls are marked the 4 corners and it's generally required that only maximum 4 people can enter. I totally understand the reason and also respect it, however when we go out with baby in stroller and when the mall is crowded it's impossible to get in the lift. One time we were in a hurry and already waited more than 5 minutes, the lift arrived but already had 3 people so husband entered with stroller and I decided to take the escalator. I feel that should be acceptable because baby is small plus we're in the same household. But then a young guy in the lift told us off and even pushed my husband out?? We will never be able to use the lift if we must wait until there's only 2 people in the lift which is impossible during crowded times. Why can't they show some empathy and let us in? Also if people are able to use the escalator, why not use it instead of taking the space of those who can't? I feel so frustrated at that guy but also conflicted because he's technically following the rules, but doing so rigidly and without regarding for people's circumstances. What do mummies think, am I being entitled or am I right to be angry?

2020-07-21Sorry for the long post. I'm a first time employer and not sure where to draw the line with all the daily stuffs..kindly share with me your experience. 1. All the food in the fridge ranging from packet drinks to ice cream, do u allow your helper to eat them? My helper did request to me and I didn't know what to react and just say yes. 2. Tidbits and snacks, helper requested if she can eat I also said yes as I didn't know what to reply 3. As my hubby doesn't want helper to cook and want her to focus on LO only, we always order delivery or buy takeaway. Helper requested to choose the food she want before buying for her. Sometimes we let her choose sometimes we just buy. 4. If her shampoo, body wash etc. ran out am I obliged to buy for her? When she started work my hubby asked me to buy 2 pairs of slippers for her (1 for cleaning toilet and another one for her to wear outing however she already have a pair of outing slippers not sure y I need to get another one for her which I already did, I need to get things from Watsons and helper happily took body lotion those $2 from Watsons shelves and told me she need cotton bud I get for her too. Am I obliged to get all these for her? (which I alrdy did) 5. Handling my LO (on her 1st week she started kissing my LO on his neck when she is alone with him, I saw from cctv and got quite pissed. Told her not to bring her face near LO but it seemed like she only followed for a week and then brought her face near LO again (although not kissing). 6. Meals money how much do u give your helper to buy? For example we went down together and I let helper choose which stall she wants to eat and she chose the mixed veg rice. I gave her a $10 note. She ordered fish and seafood. The guy told her fish $2, seafood $2 she say ok. Also plus veg. Total $6. Do u think $10 for her to buy is it too much? 7. Does yr helper wear your baby carrier and carry baby around? My helper does it and to be honest not very happy about it. 8. When going out helper wants to carry baby and keep insisting (I did not allow), then who carry diaper bags and stuffs? Me? Funny? 9. Helper is very proactive in taking care of my LO, often as and when I like to take over caring of my child like carry awhile or play with him or feed him, helper would very soon take him back, always cutting me short when I have not bond much with my LO yet. What should I do? Appreciate any form of advise pls thanks or any other things I should draw a line for a first time employer.

And the result came out that is not opened yet ..... does all of this means i might give birth anytime soon ???? ( although but edd is next month )

2020-07-21Need yr advise. I'm a new mom , gave birth last month. I'm extremely happy to welcome a newborn in my life although at this age most would go for career (I'm in 24). At the moment , I'm staying with my fiance and his parents. Been with him for 6 years now and will be getting married in a few months time. The issue here is i hate his mom. My fiance is the only son and sole breadwinner of his family and i actually started to hate his mom for the past 4 years due to her casually blaming me for something that went missing. His parents are elderly (mom at 60s and his dad at 70s) and sometimes , his mom likes to manipulate others to get what she wants. It's the little thing she does that causes this annoyance in me to trigger. I extremely loathe her behavior. I stayed with fiance ever since we started dating and I've been cooking , cleaning for the family. There was once she lashed out saying im a good for nothing who is staying with them for free. Hello? Then who does all the housework? All she does is eat , shit , sleep. And dont start with hygiene. She sometimes pee in a pail because one of us are in the toilet (staying 2 room rental) and will forget to wash it or will simply say later will wash. All this little things are a trigger for me cause now with my newborn and the marriage coming,i don't know if i can stay with them or put up with her behavior. When my lo cries, she will come and kpo and the word that always comes out is "oii why you cry..." like that's annoying imagine every single time hearing that phrase when yr lo cries.. i lashed out the other day when she came in to check and honestly, what can she do if my lo cries? She cant even take care of herself and that is why i cant entrust them to take care or look after my son even for a second. I just hate it when she comes to check cause with lo crying and her irritating voice and phrase, it adds on to my lo crying. I cant expect to move out cause like i said , fiance is the only son and he's supporting them financially. What other options i have? I feel so suffocated here . My family are totally out of the picture as i do not wish for them to get involve due to certain issues... What are yr advises for me to handle this stress im facing???

2020-07-21My son refuses vegetables and fruits and he's always having a hard time pooping. I realised his poop resembled pellets, which meant that he was constipated. To get around the problem, I made stews containing butternut squash, carrots and potatoes to hide the vegetables inside. It worked! 2020-07-22Hi mummies, my just turned 8 month old is experiencing sleep regression (I think). He used to sleep for 6-7hrs, wake up for one feed and then sleep another 6-7hrs till early morning. However, now he wakes up every 3-4hrs because he rolls himself tummy down and cries. I had to wake up multiple times in the night to turn him back to back down position because he would fuss around and not sleep. Is there anything I can do about this or is this just a phase?? 2020-07-22My 7mo bb having quite bad diaper rash at butt hole and we figure it's due to her pooing 2-3 times a day as she's on solids now and full formula feed, previously was ebm. Seen pd twice and he gave antifungal cream and a stronger steroid when it came back. It gets better but later comes back again and became red and inflammed and not really responding to the cream anymore. She cries out in pain whenever she poo and we change her. Now I change her diaper every 2-3h and use the creams and desitin but not much improvement. Any good pd to recommend for diaper rash? I have concern on using steroids too much as it seems will always get better than worse. Help!

My LO at 2mths old, bottle-fed expressed milk at 100ml. he has been refusing to drink milk lately and watery poo. 2020-07-25I'll be moving back to my own home after confinement at my mum's place. Will be going back to work soon and mum will be helping me to take care of my baby when I'm at work. How do you all manage commuting baby to parent's place? I'm thinking of buying a 2nd hand car but also worried about driving with baby alone in the back seat.. Appreciate any suggestions.. TIA!

2020-07-25brought my lo (1yr 4mths) to the zoo and I think she got frightened cause she sleep and keep making crying noises in her sleep. I made sure she napped and she didn't exerted lots of energy too but she did come close to an orangutan.. which I too feels it looked quite frightening... LO wasn't afraid to go near the glass for the snakes and big cats.. only the monkeys hahah
