2020-06-22Please let me rant and release here... My husband and I decided to terminate a wanted pregnancy, because she had trisomy 21, and other chromosomal defects that may not allow her to grow till full term, and many surgeries if she survived the pregnancy. She was 21 weeks old. We have been trying to conceive again. I had 2 cycles of menses and hoped that we would conceive in this current cycle (3rd cycle) because I was already late for 3 days. Today, I wanted to take a home pregnancy test, but I started to feel cramping and saw spotting. I just knew my 3rd cycle already began. I texted hubby and he replied "don't hope so much". His actual words were "jangan harapkan sangat". It crushed me. Totally broke my heart. Perhaps, he could say "it's ok, it is not time yet" or "don't give up, we try again". Is it simply that he does not understand or not realising that it was insensitive? And right now I cannot stop crying. Thank you for hearing me out.

2020-06-22Dear all, The morning sickness has been really bad at 10W. The vomiting has been incessant and pills like Diclectin are not helping either. Occasionally can snack on fruits, bread and Jam, and half a cup of chocolate milk or 100+. Anything gingerish is also not working its magic. I shudder to think how mothers go through a full 40 weeks of pregnancy if vomit is a daily affair. Is just impossible... Please help.

I am delivering in Mount Elizabeth Orchard this week and apparently fathers can be allowed to be present in the delivery ward, but Mount Elizabeth is waiting for a letter from MOH to confirm this. She is not cannot afford yes she might not be very rich kind maybe low mid kind. As my 4 yr boy shows very much fascinating on car racing games n he shows very much enthusiasm on that .. what I observed is when he is playing he is more excited n I try to stop means he is showing angry n then cry for it .. 2020-06-22My LO is 8MO and is having high fever since yesterday morning. No diarrhea, maybe just 1 less wet diaper than usual. Went to a GP last night and was told to monitor his temp after giving meds. Doc said there were no signs of ear infection or stomach discomfort although my LO did throw up thrice earlier, about an hour or 2 after a feeding. Gave neurofen last night and his temp dropped to 37.4. He woke up at 5am today and his temp shot up to 39 again. Gave him paracetemol as it has to be given alternately with the neurofen and his temp is still at 38.8 after an hour. Should i wait it out or should i bring him to KKH if his temp remains high? It's been more than 24 hours since he had his fever.

2020-06-23Hi, im a FTM and experienced bloody show in the wee morning. Decided to head down to hospital to get myself and baby monitored. My Dr checked and I’m about 1-1.5cm dilated. Contraction is irregular but a little intense than normal but tolerable. Based on your experience, how long more would I start to experience active labour? 2020-06-23Hi, anyone facing problem as me? My lo seems so hard to sleep in the afternoon. When he latch, he will fall asleep. I will wait for a while before putting him in his bed. But then, he will wake up easily. I have 2 other children aged 6 and 4, they like to play loudly and will wait lo up too. I know he is sleepy, but it is hard to make him fall asleep. Is it normal for baby to not sleep alot at this age? Im just worried he didnt enough sleep and causing problem with his development, maybe? Traveling from home to work and work back to home.. 2020-06-23My baby sleeps a lot during the day. He doesn’t cry that much. But during night time he cries A lot. Most days I’m able to let him sleep without any cries throughout the night. But today he didn’t stop screaming even when I try to comfort him. My mother in law criticises me a lot and so does her daughter. They’ll tell me obvious things and makes me feel I’m not good enough or I don’t know my baby well. She takes him away and tries to prove her point when my baby doesn’t cry. And makes me feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. I don’t sleep at night just so I can make sure he’s absolutely comfortable and don’t need to scream. But at the end of the day this happens. I’m starting to believe my baby doesn’t like me and doesn’t want me. And their words aren’t helping me mentally and I feel broken. it’s just one day out of a week he gets cranky and they’ll make me feel useless as a mother and my baby doesn’t cry when he’s with her. Maybe my baby really doesn’t want me.

2020-06-23Mil say don’t throw out milk or make milk in advance so baby won’t cry. But the problem is I alr say make fresh milk when baby cry and throw away left over cause not good mah. Don’t want listen say don’t waste money and she take care other babies also she do and they healthy but my baby is only 1 month eh. V hard cause stay together then when I say not happy. Don’t always like to make baby cry. Wahlao who sia want to purposely make baby cry. Baby what sure cry for everything then when my baby cry she take her away then every time sure make her own decision without asking me. When my husband and I when for our honeymoon, we try to consummate our marriage for few days but his intimate unable to penetrate inside me. So I use my finger to insert his cum insode my vagina. 2020-06-24Hi all. I'm currently 19 wks. Did my NIPT test on 11 wks and results is low risk baby. However, during my 16 wks gynae appointment, my gynae told me my blood test shows I'm a thalassemia carrier, which also needs my husband to test if he is also a carrier as well. Hence we have proceed to KKH thalassemia registry for our further blood testing, which results both of us are thalassemia minor carriers, also means my baby will have 25% risk of inherit thalassemia major which is high risk, 50% will be a carrier like us, 25% will be normal. My gynae has advised that I should take Amniocentesis to test if baby has the risk. I have told him I will decide after I took my 20 wks detailed scan next week. I'm quite reluctant to take amniocentesis as I felt that my NIPT was low risk, and if the detailed scan is fine, there will be 75% chance of normal/carrier. But both my gynae and husb is suggesting me to take. My husb is just following gynae recommendations. I'm lost and worried. Can anyone advised if they have gone thru similar or heard from friends? 2020-06-24My Doctor just told me I've narrow birth canal or small pelvis, which might be a challenge for baby to pass through during labour. However, she said it's still possible to hope for normal delivery, and will opt for emergency C-sect only if there's problem or challenges during labour. 2020-06-24Idk tdy was my husband mother bday..until we went out for dinner and collect cake from her sister. my husband than say "tdy is my mom bday". We only eat at coffee shop.. and all order different types of food. Not even something that can make her feel that we are celebrating for her. Anw he was taking the cake out and wanted to cut his mother say "no,I don't want to celebrate" he told me that his mother is angry. 2020-06-24Was very happy during this CB period that he had alot time to spend with me while i am pregnant. Currently going to 37 wks.. once the CB is over, he then went out for drinks with his guy friends. But the problem is he came home drunk n cant even walk properly or to shower first before he pass out. He is not under any stress, financial problem or unhappiness. 2020-06-26My baby is 6 weeks old and my bm yield is low so I decided to mix in formula as a top up for night time. He is very gassy and spit milk/vomit almost every meal. Every meal he will want to pass motion and will gek sai till milk come out even from his nose. After drinking and burping, he will still vomit a bit of milk even after resting before lying him down. So far he poops a lot a day and everytime during or after feeding. Didnt see dr for any diagnosis and not sure if I should give him Nan HA as I bought this instead of Nan. TIA

2020-06-27Hi Mommies, Im 30y.o n having my 1st pregnancy at 10weeks+ now. Doctor had suggested me to do some screening on my next visit which is on 12th weeks to check the risk of having down syndrome baby. This issue has been giving quite alot of stress recently, i’ve asked around. Some of my friends did oscar n gotten quite high risk n end up depressed n stress for the next few mths but aftr gv birth, her baby turn out to be normal (thanks god). My husband n my mom not allowed me to do since the result is just by percentage instead of Yes/No. but I cant stop worrying about this, i rly hope my baby is healthy. So my husband suggested to do panorama/harmoni due to the result is 99% accurate while Oscar is only 90% but cost wise panorama/harmoni rly cost a bomb! Can anyone advise me, does it necessary to do this screening? Does the result accurate? Have u all done any screening that i mentioned? Thanks, sorry for the long post.

2020-06-27My 2.5 months old baby is rejecting milk, both bm and fm. She struggled and kick a fuss whenever we tried to feed her. The only time she willing to drink peacefully is the 5am feed. From an avg of 700ml per day, she is only drinking on avg 400ml now. I have tried changing bottle and teats, and even dreamfeed. Yet nothing seems to work. Anyone facing this problem?

2020-06-27I’m a ftm. LO is 5 weeks. I had emergency c-sect during delivery. My incision wound recovered within the week and I could generally move about within 2 weeks. I thought I’m recovering well, so I started to carry my LO more etc. But in the last 2 weeks, LO has grown quite heavy and kicking quite strongly. So sometimes I get kicked in my abdomen area and I’ll feel pain. There’s no swelling etc, but the muscle inside seems to hurt so when I walk sometimes it’s like having a cramp. Other mummies who went through C-sect, is this normal? Should I stop carrying my LO for the time being? Any tips on how to recover fast? TIA!

2020-06-27Hello mummies, Yesterday I was rushed to the a&e as there was a sight of blood down there. It happened after I urinate. For a moment, I thought I was on my period!! The gynae then said that there wasn't any sight of old blood or bleeding down there. I know I saw blood on the wet tissue when I wiped it and how can there be not? It's weird, but in a good way! This means that I have nothing to worry about (hahah). They then put me under observation for further checks since I don't feel right in my tummy and afraid I might go into labor. I'm still on my 24th week btw. Everything went well while I was there, but when I got home, that's when the 'real' pain comes. My lower back and tummy felt so, so, so painful. Never felt this kind of pain before 😢 Husband said my body's probably already reached to its limits and I should stop pushing myself (into doing chores/activities/errands/tasks) when I know I can't. Anyone shares the same experience?
