- 2020-06-15Hi all, any suggestions to kerb with noisy neighbours upstairs? They have 3 or 4 kids and are running the whooooole day. From morning till night. I understand that kids are kids and there will be some running definitely. But they are running THE WHOLE DAY, EVERYDAY!!
My hubby and I do not even have a moment of peace 😭 and baby sometimes got woken up by them during naptime/bed time. We have went up to speak to them nicely for a few times already and their reply was "ok sure" "ok will try". Recently, the kids ran and played till 2am on on of the days. 😭

- 2020-06-15I realised my MIL likes to take things from my house..so she saw this crystal stool that she likes and she wants to take it for her home I give to her..I bought alot of those magic white sponges and one day when I wanted to use I realised there are none and when I asked my husband about it he said his mother gradually took all the magic sponges. I have delivery tissue boxes and bought 8 rows of tissue boxes..she also want for her house and took 2 rows I give her..den I use this Swarovski pen for writing down my LO feeding schedule she took it without asking me. I also bought a big box of pain relief patches for my husband to relieve his aches from carrying baby. My mil also happily took a few packs within the box, come my house use loose packs too. Should I voice up or just let it slide since she is my MIL?

Any suggestions?

- 2020-06-16I have been working with MOE to launch a Chinese learning game app called Prep Junior (@prepjunior) for 4-6 years old. The app is slated for launch in late June.
We are targeting the private and public preschools but I also understand some young learners are homeschooling. I am happy to reach out to the homeschooling community and give complimentary access to them (limited slots). It’s suitable even for non-Chinese speaking parents.
Any advice on how do I reach out to this group? Thank you in advance!

- 2020-06-16Recently just gave birth.
My baby is 4 days old and he has not pooped for almost 2 days now.
And most people are just telling me that I am not feeding enough even though I am dping it every 2 hours and even my husband just keeps pushing me to do more...
I am so tired, exhausted and just so beaten down... just want to sit and cry
Is this normal?
I am breast feeding him and because my supply is not very good I was told by a lactation nurse to top up with a formula and so I did.
My baby and I went for a check up on Monday and they took his blood for a jaundice check and he went crazy crying and screaming.
I dont know what to do... I have been breastfeeding now for 4 days and my nipples are all sore and cracked and so I have gone to using hand expressions and breast pumps just to feed.
Plus, yesterday my baby had some brick dust in the diaper...
Anyone else going through this?

- 2020-06-16I have been a career woman for 20 years since I started working at the age of 19. Now I am 40 years old and have my first baby this year Jan 2020. I have been having this dilemma, either go back to work after baby is born or be a stay home mom. Somehow the current virus situation kind of make the decision for me. The competitive job market... the uncertainty of the safety at workplace and infant care centre are some of the reasons that make me decide to stay home with my baby. However, I really don't know how to feel fulfilled being a stay home mom. At the back of my mind, I fear that I may get obsolete. I hope some stay home mom out there can give me some tips on how you go through each day at home. How do you keep yourself stay relevant? What else can you do besides taking care of baby, do housework and cook. Basically, I feel lost and feel stuck at home. I just don't know how to be a stay home mom and feel happy about it. Maybe because I'm so used to working.

- 2020-06-16Husband doesn't like the idea & don't allow me to bring baby to visit my grandparents due to the virus. He feels thats my grandparents should come over instead. I explain to husband that I needed some 'me time' & 'personal space' but he doesn't understand. He even feels that I am not thinking right, why am I putting baby to the risk. He allows me to go back to grandparent's place w/o baby. How can he separate us like that? The last time I brought baby back to grandparents place was about a month ago.

So my question is, how much shall I eat, to keep the weight up and also providing enough nutrients for baby? I'm just afraid of overeating when I'm not even hungry will lead to vomiting again...

Was feeling fine yesterday and today morning around 7am, i started having this menses-like cramps which were a bit intense and ever since then , every hour , i have been feeling the cramps. Is this just Braxton hicks or is this labour contractions??
I just went to the toilet & noticed more bloody discharge. Should i be prepared for labour anytime soon or just monitor again till the contractions get worse?
Ps: i don't know how bad can a contraction get but currently it's bearable and uncomfortable for me. My pain threshold is high and i do not know when would be the trigger signal for me to head to kkh. Any advise?

- 2020-06-17I am at 25 weeks and I have totally lost my appetite. Im crying too frequently and isolating myself from the world. I find myself bursting in rage quite often also resulting in my isolation as i dont want to hurt anyone else even my close friends. i did achieve peace. my husband has always been there for me but some things he can never understand. we have been waiting for this child for so long. idk why am i feeling so depressed lately. i dont have the privilege to cook in own kitchen or fill up own fridge. it is shared and most of the time i can only cook past midnight when everyone is asleep. i feel like i have to force food down my throat. is this depression? or is it just part of the medication from gestational diabetes? im always hungry but whenever it is time to eat i feel like theres a gun pointing to my head or being forced fed. i feel pain down my throat as i swallow. and often times im gagging. can never go more thn 3-4 bites. should I go for counseling? which hospital or centre offers that service? or should i just find some appetite boosting supplements? i want to be able to eat all the nutritious food for my son’s sake but nobody seems to understand and keep telling me im picky.

Has anyone experienced extreme stomach tightening and vomiting right below your chest till you can hardly breathe?
I just had a stomach tightening attack that lasted almost an hour (started at 4pm) and it felt like I was going to die if that’s what death feels like. It was so bad, so so bad that my back started to ache.
The feeling is like you’ve just had a big meal and then you go for a marathon immediately. That sick, tightening, out-of-breath feeling. I couldn’t breathe normally, my chest and right below my chest felt so tight and painful.
At first I was curled up on my bed trying to tahan the pain but then it got worse and I could barely stood up straight let alone walk, so I was bending over and literally crouching up to my mother’s room and told her my stomach hurts and right immediately I threw up my lunch in her toilet. I had to kneel in front of the toilet bowl as I didn’t want to further clog up the sink.
Was so close to calling the ambulance because the pain was accompanied with a panic attack as I couldn’t breathe properly and terrified for my 22 week old baby girl. After much coaxing and rubbing my tummy, the pain gradually disappeared.
I don’t know what it was. Has anyone ever encountered this before? Doesn’t seem like Braxton Hicks as it was for a good 45 minutes long. Still monitoring now.
- 2020-06-17Hi Mums, can I ask how much can I walk if I'm 9 weeks with spotting due to a polyp? And I'm on duphaston too.

- 2020-06-17Hi mummies
My daughter turned 2 mths on 11 apr 2020. All along before she turned 2,she was perfectly fine inserting bottle in her mouth and finished her feedings. At times we notice she wants more milk whenever we pull out the bottle from her mouth. 2 days before 2 mths and till now when we feed her she dont want the bottle n at times her milk will not finish. We feed her on her feeding time. She show all the signs of hungry but when we feed she dont want the bottle.
She will show signs like puke n cry. Im on mixed feeding formula n bm. I pump to give her in bottle as latching im afraid she will not have enough.Any advise from mummies..
- 2020-06-17My 7 months baby is on FM and she drinks less milk now. It started when she has 3 meals a day and now she drinks only 90ml every 3 hrs instead of usual 150/180ml. At times when she didnt eat her dinner well, i thought she would drink more but still 80/90 ml only and she goes to bed to sleep throughout the night. Will she be ok? Is this normal? How do i get her to drink more?
- 2020-06-17Hi mummies, I'm giving birth in 1 month plus time, when do you usually pack your hospital bag? and what to bring? thanks in advance..
- 2020-06-17My 11 weeks old baby is very fidgety, esp at night. I can see that he is hungry for milk but after he drinks for like 3 mins he rejected the bottle. I tried again, he takes the bottle and then rejects it. Tried to burp but he does not want to sit still.
He will then become very fidgety and needs to be carried and walked around the house in order to drink his milk! What's wrong 😟

- 2020-06-18My 2mth old LO had been having a rough night's sleep for the last 2 days. She wakes every hourly in the wee hours, cries badly and it has been challenging to soothe or calm her down. We have tried changing or fresh diapers for her, removing and re-swaddling her, coaxing and assuring her verbally and with physical touches but nothing works. She was also not crying due to hunger (if on EBM, she pushes the bottle teat out and doesnt finish the milk). Husband thinks it might be teething as she keeps rubbing her face/mouth against our shoulders or necks when we carry her (swaddled) upright.
Any thoughts on what she could possibly be having or going through?
Any parents who went through similar phase (i hope it is a passing phase!) and can share what you did to help LO calm down and sleep better?

- 2020-06-19Hi mummies, my LO is 8days old. Currently pumping exclusively not latching. Im facing three problems..
1) as much as I want him to latch on, he falls asleep everytime he latches and he can latch up to an hour if i prompt him. He doesn’t suckle fast too. He will take in a few mouthful and stop and i have to keep prompting. Im not sure if he has enough even though he latches for so long. Thats why i stopped latching.
2) my left and right breast yield very different in amount of breastmilk. Right side is always twice the amount of left side but my breastpad is always full on the left side. What should i do?
3) he has been sleeping shorter timings from 2-3hours to 1hour plus and wakes up for milk. Do i increase the milk intake? Currently he takes in 60ml.
I pump 2-3hours each day. LO is 3.6kg prob alittle heavier now. He can’t really sleep well and fusses in his sleep.

- 2020-06-19Here is an easy DIY Paper Award Ribbon that your kid(s) can make as a gift this Father's Day.
Things you will need:
2 sheets of red paper (or any other colour)
Yellow paper
Black marker
Scissors
Glue
Step 1: Start by folding a sheet of paper in half (along the longer side). Then cut along the middle to get two long strips of paper.
Step 2: Start folding the sheet of paper (the strip) making accordion folds all the way till the end.
Step 3: This is how it should look like.
Step 4: Push the “accordion” together. Fold it in half.
Step 5: Glue together on one side. It should now look like a fan.
Step 6: Do these same steps with the other strip of paper.
Step 7: Now you have two fans and you need to glue them together.
Step 8: Cut out a circle from the yellow paper and write 'Best Dad Award' or any choice of message with a marker and stick it on red circle fan. With the other sheet of red paper cut out two ribbons.
Step 9: Stick those under the red circle fan. Voila!

- 2020-06-20Hi mummies. My little bud just had her 5 in 1 and rota vaccine 4 days ago. Everything went smoothly with no fever or any side effect. Suddenly today, she has been having No.2 for 3 to 4 times since morning. She is drinking breastmilk exclusively and naturally her poo is mustard colored and slight sweet smell. However today, her last poop was mucus green and has a pungent smell. I also notice a small streaks of blood in her stool. Is this normal? The nurses told me to anticipate slight diarrhea and fever. She didn't mentioned anything about blood the in the stool. Has anyone had such cases before? By the way, my baby is 4 months old.

- 2020-06-20Hi, is anyone interested in taking over my stage 1 leftover Bellamys organic formula milk powder? I have about 3/4 of a tin remaining.
Your baby needs to be within 6 months old and is on formula.
I just opened a new tin on 14 June and now that my baby is on full breastmilk and I have enough supply, I do not need formula anymore.
As I’ve opened it, it needs to be consumed within a month. So I can give to someone who needs it :)
If interested, please comment below.
self collection at Kovan area :)
Thanks !
