- 2020-06-08Last night I made a mistake by offing the aircon in the middle of the night. Fan was on. Forgot to take off the blanket from my newborn (he was in swaddle and we placed additional baa baa sheep blanket from stomach down, tucked into the cot). Ended up when I woke up about 4 hours later, realised baby was sweating. Now I am worried if there will be any health impact on baby? As I just read article that we need to dress baby appropriately to make sure baby is not too cold or sweating, and high temperature could lead to SIDS...... ?

- 2020-06-09Hello mummies! Need some serious advice and I’m going crazy. My 5 weeks new baby is struggling to fall asleep during the day even after feeding, diaper change and swaddled her. We will need to walk around while carrying her, rock and pat her but, after we put her down and within 5 to 10 mins, she will wake up crying again. Most of the time she will wake up trying very hard to fart or poo until she burst out crying. We’re giving her all sorts of tummy massage and ridwind but she is still squeezing real hard until her face turn red and cry. What else can i do to help her sleep, fart and poo better? First world problem.

- 2020-06-09Hi. My wife missed her period for a week (1st June is the 1st day of period). We thought she might be pregnant but until yesterday (8th June) she had spotting. We thought it was normal but today (9th June), she experienced heavy flow. Is it normal that her period came this late, as she never had period this late before or is it something to do with implantation bleeding. I'm confused. She did home pregnancy test on 7th June but turns out negative.

- 2020-06-11Feeling really depressed as it seemed like baby doesn't like me... He cries so much when I carry him and refuse to sleep, but seemed so calm when my MIL or confinement nanny carries him and sleeps soundly.
My MIL and nanny also kept making comments such as its because the way I carry the baby is uncomfortable for him, I dont know how to carry him, I am not good at calming him etc, I'm slow in diaper changing, I can't understand his cries etc... My MIL blames me whenever baby cries too.
I'll be the only one taking care of him once the nanny leaves as my family will be working in their respective offices. I'm not confident that I'll be able to handle him alone and put him to sleep etc. It's only 3 weeks since baby is out and I feel like a failure as a mom already.

- 2020-06-11I need advice from you all pls.
My MIL is staying with us..And i am having problem... i mean it is normal to argue and sometime raise your voice when you argue with your husband, isn't it? But my MIL will show me black face whenever I argue with my husband. I don't think it's fair for for me. Even after my husband and I made up, she will continue giving me black face and not talk to me properly like she talks to her son. I feel so alone whenever my husband and I argue. Cause my MIL and my husband will be together like one gang.
The reason my MIL is staying with us is because she helps to take care of my little one. What should I do?
P/s: it is my husband and my house. So don't think I am moving out.

- 2020-06-12Hey hey, Breastfeeding mummies & mum-to-be! Whether you're exclusive pumping or full on latching, you will need a breast pump along the way. Especially when baby sleeps through the night or when you go back to work.
I am glad I chanced upon this breast pump from @OurLittleLamb - Chicture Double Electric Breast Pump Model 2212B.
Here's my personal review on it:
The silicon inserts fit me perfectly and provides great comfort during each pump. Furthermore, I am able to adjust different suction levels for each individual side even when dual-pumping! It really helps me as I require different suction levels for each different side and sometimes I end up single pumping which may take up more time.
With this combo, I saw an increase in the amount of milk I pumped without abrasion!
Importantly, It takes me about 15 to 20mins to fully drain instead of 30mins or sometimes i take 40 mins.
Their customer service is great too, friendly and patient in Helping me to get the correct flange size. Their delivery is speedy too, delivered the next day!
Side note! its rectangular shape can fit into most of my handbags and it's important to me since I am an exclusive pumping mummy!
Together with @OurLittleLamb , we are giving away a Chicture Double Electric Breast Pump Model 2212MB to One Lucky Winner.
Check out my Instagram @JelineChia to participate ya!!

So today I went for my 4th checkup and I am unsure I'm week 7 or 8 (doc also never tell me I'm week what) then he did the transvaginal scan and told me the heart beat slow and embryo size is only 4.4mm so he told me to be mentally prepared that it will lead to miscarriage. So he asked me to go for next appointment next Friday to confirm if the embryo is still growing, if is not, I will have to discuss with him.
Anyone experience same scenario as me? I need advise.

They will buy lunch and dinner over and to also see LO. Sometimes I feel abit sian haha. Just saying. Is PIL visiting LO everyday normal? I just feel I kind of lost freedom.

- 2020-06-13Rant: My husband is 13 years older than me and earns at least 3 to 4x of my current salary. I lend him a few thousands 5 to 6 years back for house renovation (i was 23 years old then and i told him that i can't afford any costs when it comes to marriage & kids as I have only just graduated), yet until today he has not returned me the full sum yet. Subsequently, he tried to get me to invest my savings instead of putting it with the bank for higher interests. I transferred a huge sum to him and now that i wanted the whole sum to be transferred to me back, he kicked up a big fuss and threatened to divorce. I feel so helpless. Lend him money yet must beg him to return as though I am at his mercy. I don't know what to do.

I checked with my gynae and he said that it is pigmentation and is normal and may even get worse after delivery. Any mommies have this experience before? What can I apply to lighten or to remove these dark lines?

- 2020-06-13When you become a mum, you sometimes make the most difficult decisions in your life, more so then work at times. Example...
Your baby wakes up at 3am on a work night and it is so hard to get your baby to go back to sleep, you feed your baby for 15mins or so until your baby goes to sleep and you put him/her down and think finally I can go back to sleep... Then the horror...
You smell something bad and you look all over your bed and smell yourself but nothing only to realize... The smell is coming from your baby. You take a quick peek at his diaper only to realize he/she took a giant poop. Now your lying on your bed thinking, if I change my baby's diaper, he/she will be awake for another 30mins or so before going back to sleep which means you can't sleep and you will be a zombie at work or do not change your baby's diaper till morning, risk baby getting a really bad nappy rash that you have to bring him/her to the doctor later and never forgive yourself for it.
So you make the painful decision of changing your baby's diaper, think after all of that, it isn't worth your sleep so you just not change it the next time till morning, but then you did do that and your baby had a full on diaper rash with broken skin and your baby is cranky because of the pain and you feel like the worst mother in the world...
Yes we make the most painful and difficult decisions in the world. Always remember that being a mum is tough and we always try to be the best. So keep your chin up mummies and stay strong as we are our babies superheroes

- 2020-06-13For those who did Oscar test, by which week do you found out the gender of baby?
- 2020-06-13I’m 8W5D pregnant and i realised that my morning sickness have started to subside for the past few days. My nipples are not as sore as before but i do still have bloatedness(eventho slightly lesser than past weeks) and my appetite have started to slowly come back. I do still feel nausea to certain food/smell.
I did my scan at 6weeks+ and baby was fine with heartbeat. I’m kind of paranoid that my symptoms relieved a lil bit too fast(i feel way much better now). I do not have bleeding/spotting, just slight on/off cramps. I read online and some says it’s normal and the relieve might be temp and would come back again.
Is there something i shld be concern abt? I’m just scared of miscarriages without bleeding yet as perhaps the body still thinks that you’re pregnant and produce all the hormones etc.
Wondering if anyone’s symptoms subsides before the end of first trim?
