2020-06-01For those who went for natural birth, what was your baby’s birth weight and gender?
2020-06-01Hi, my 8 week old baby often falls asleep when she starts drinking milk. This results in her taking in half her feed only, and she gets hungry very fast. How can I ensure that she takes her full feed so that she can last 3 hours? Otherwise, it is really exhausting to keep up with her hourly feeds. Also, her total formula intake is only about 540ml per day compared to the recommended amount. Is this ok?
2020-06-01First time mummy here. My 1 month old baby refuses to sleep at night - despite feeds, swaddles, diaper changes. He still cries through the night after 2am till 9am. Sometimes he just makes random sounds throughout the night (without crying). Husband and I have tried all we know to calm him down when he cries but to no avail. Need some suggestions/advice or tips/tricks to get him to sleep at night and for us to not lose our sanity.

2020-06-01I am in my 3rd trimester and i have been feeling very emotional and occasionally just start crying for no reason. I also find it hard to sleep at night, many nights i will wake up like every 2 hours and cannot sleep. I keep telling myself not to feel like that as it might affect my baby and my husband too. 2020-06-01I have been shhh-ing everyone in the house( as I'm living with my in laws) till my mil totally ignores my requests on lowering her volume. They don't have the habit of talking softly and has woken the baby up on numerous occasions. Do you find yourself doing that too? Sometimes I get too stressed up with trying to ask them to lower their volume as LO's sleep gets interrupted.

So I was told by my manager that I'm require to help scan people temperature if the queue is long. We have deployed security team to do and I am not sure why my manager still insist saying we must help security team to scan temperature. 2020-06-01So went to my 3rd checkup last Saturday at kkh. My gynae just loves giving me surprises. So when he did the ultrasound scan on my tummy, he said "I still can't see anything". Then he suggested to scan lower abit cervix area but not transvaginal scan, he finally saw the sac. So he did not mentioned how many weeks I'm in nor saying much. He just asked me to find him 2 weeks later which I feared the next would finding of the yolk sac.

2020-06-01I'm currently in my third trimester for almost every night I had been waking up at this timing due to heart burn even antacid cant help with my heart burn. I took dinner more than 3 hours before bedtime and I did not lie down immediately and I eat small portion of food. But my heart burn had been persisting for 2 nights I cant sleep already. 2020-06-02Hi I'm FTM and currently in my 2nd trimester. I'm abit free now and thinking to organise and list down the things before getting busy in later mths with baby stuff. I've engaged nanny from agency and she will be staying at my house for a month. This is the 1st time that a stranger will be staying with us and I will feel awkward and not too sure how to come along with stranger. For those who has experience with CL staying with u during ur confinement, I'm not sure how to go about this: 1. Nanny will sleep in spare room with baby - should I buy sofa bed or mattress (with or without bed frame) for her. Without bed frame meaning she will be slping on the floor, I'm not sure if this will be disrespectful to nanny. 2. I don't cook, so I only have general kitchen equipment like 1-2 sets pans, small pots, small bowl etc. Not sure should I also shop for some kitchen stuff as she will be cooking for me. 3. Agency told me I have to provide her with marketing expenses for her groceries shopping. Since I don't cook, I have totally no idea how much is the ideal amount for cooking for 3 pax (including nanny) daily. How do u give ur nanny allowance, on daily basis? and roughly how much? 4. Webcam - Agency told me there won't be any issue if my house installed webcam as long as to inform the nanny. I've been thinking whether to put webcam in baby's room so that I can monitor baby when I'm outside the room, but at the same time, this will makes the nanny feel uneasy as if I don't trust her. Anyone installed webcam and nanny is fine with it? Thanks!

2020-06-02Hi, my baby is 9 weeks old and weighs around 5.2kg. I have been feeding him 110 to 120ml formula milk 8 times a day. Most days, he takes very short naps (less than 30 min) in the daytime but can sleep at night with 2 feeds. Sometimes, i feel that he can drink more after 120ml. 2020-06-03Hi mommies. My LO just turned 1 year old recently and MIL kept insisting that baby can eat the same food as us (cut them up) and even tried to feed baby fried nuggets last night. Luckily we saw and stopped her. She kept wanting to add soy sauce into baby's porridge, etc. She also wants to feed ribena and sweet drinks like 100plus. We told her no as baby does not need so much sodium now and might result in her liking food with heavier taste which is not good for her health in the future. Then, she will turn to baby and say "可怜啦什么都不可以吃", meaning "aiyo poor thing, everything also cant eat". How can I tell her so that she understands this? To her, she fed her child (my husband) like this when he is young and he grew up well. Of course, she does respect us and stop feeding such food when we said no. But i cant stand the fact that she will tell baby that she is so poor thing and her parents does not let her eat all the "delicious" food?! And also not sure what she will feed her when we are not around ?

2020-06-03Hello dear fellow mummies, sorry for my bad English. My Infant now 7 months just started Ifc on 2nd June. He was at the same centre when he was 4 months and when CB is started he stayed at home with me for 2 months plus as i was WFH with husband and 3 year old toddler. 2020-06-03Hi mummies, my 9 week old baby sleeps well at night but i have difficulties putting him to sleep during the daytime. Have to carry till he sleeps and even so, he wakes up after a short while, sometimes less than 30 min and sometimes less than 1h. I see him yawning after the short nap but even if carry, his eyes are very big and he does not sleep. Total sleep he has in a day is probably 12 to 13h. 2020-06-04Hi mummies. Since newborn i've been cradling and patting him to sleep because that was the only way we could make him sleep. He doesn't want to be put down and be patted. It goes on until he was about 5 months old. He started to get heavier and my arms couldn't take it anymore - the cradling, swaying. So my husband told me to put him in the yao lan (baby hammock) to keep me sane (i cried badly when it was super difficult to put him to sleep). Now he's 7MO and when its time to sleep, he doesn't want to be cradled anymore, he will fuss and push himself as hard as he can away from me and wants to sit upright on my arms. But he's already very sleepy. He will only sleep in the yao lan.. i may have let him be to dependent on the hammock.. any mummies faced this before? 2020-06-04My 5 weeks' old baby did cluster feeding (direct latch) from 8pm to around 12am (with intermittent breaks but he was mostly awake throughout the period. I only heard him making some sound (not crying) around 4am and saw his eyes opened. Proceeded to feed him immediately. Now feeling guilty because not sure if he did make any noise earlier but I missed it. Worried if I had caused him to be over hungry. He is usually fuss free though and does not really cry much during daytime as well (in daytime once he makes any noise that suggests he is waking up we will attend to him immediately already). 2020-06-06Hi. Just wanted to ask if it's common for husbands wanting their wives to eat what they like during pregnancy. I mean there are certain things that I won't have appetite just by looking at it but it will probably be something my husband likes. It tends to piss him off a little when I don't ask him what he likes the baby to try. And he feels that I only feed what I like to eat to the baby apparently. I'm very confused.
