2020-05-05My LO has been extra clingy in the day, takes short naps (30-40mins, or less sometimes), and has been having difficulty++ sleeping at night. Once I put him down for bed, he will wake up within 30 mins crying hysterically and it takes a long time (ytd took 1.5 hours) to soothe him back to sleep. The night wakes and crying will continue multiple times through the night. He is 6.5 months now. Other than teething, are there any other reasons for this drastic change in his behavior? He has been like this for a week ?

The doctor scan my baby is fine with heartbeat but I have a small tissue clot which need do some experiment. At night I still have bleeding. 2020-05-06I am the husband. Just need to get feedbacks if what I did is too little for the family as my wife tend to scream and said nasty words at me . I feel so down ... Since my1year old son is born, I had been helping in the chores like sweeping , mopping , preparing milk in middle of night , playing with LO, washing the clothes ,bath LO, providing all the family expenses, sending and picking up LO in infant care and etc.. The only thing i cant do is cook for my LO and making my LO sleep. My wife feel that I doing too little and always show her unhappy face at me and during a quarrel said that she regret to marry me. I woke up at 7am daily and slept at 2am daily as I need to send my LO to infant care and head straight to work and because i can only reply email after LO slept around 10pm, thus only sleep at 2am after LO last feed. I am feeling very tired and disappointed in the marriage. Wife is current pregnant with our 2nd child and I cannot see where I am heading .... Really do not know where had gone wrong and feeling very very tired....

2020-05-06Hey mummies, does your LO passed out greenish stools when you consumed Fenugreek supplement? I realised that when I stopped taking the pills, my LO stools are yellowish mustard which is the right color for breastfed babies. I read that greenish stools are due to higher volume of fore milk than hind milk. So does it mean that by taking Fenugreek pills, I'm only increasing my fore milk supply because by the time the hind milk starts coming in, my baby would be full from the feeding. I will be going back to work in a month time and I need to start storing my milk, hence I have been taking Fenugreek to increase supply. However am concerned with the after effect of my baby's poo. On the upside, baby is gaining weight and healthy.
2020-05-06Hi mummies, do u encounter the same problem when feeding LO? 4 weeks ago, it is a chore to bottle feed my LO as he will smile and not drink or wriggle and keep kicking..2 weeks later all the feeding sessions suddenly turned smooth (takes 10mins to feed)..I am using same bottles and teats..now the feeding sessions take 20mins and my LO will suck the teat until it becomes flat. My MIL said flow is too slow (however my LO occasionally still chokes and cough) and she cuts a slit on the teat using scissor. However I googled and saw that when teat becomes flat it is because there is no air in the bottle or the screw cap is too tight. I do not want to change to a faster flow teat as I am trying to bf my baby back..he is now 3mo and using 0m+ teat..any advice based on your experience? TIA!

2020-05-07Hi mommas, I am currently at wk 39 + 1, baby estimated weight is ~3kg and head circumference is ~34cm. Gynae suggested that I should induce this Saturday as baby’s head may be “too big” for vaginal delivery on my EDD. However, I would prefer to wait for labour to happen on its own and scare that I will end up with an emergency c-sect if I induce and don’t dilate as expected. Please give me some advices. ? And had a hard time scanning the baby due to the position ( baby was facing me) MIL says that during sleep I have to keep changing my position so that baby learns how to turn. The thing is I'm a heavy sleeper, so I will stay in one position throughout the night unless I wake up and I don't feel comfortable then I will change. Where else, my hubby is a light sleeper and he sleeps before me . When I toss and turn , he will wake up. So I reduce my movements whenever I'm in bed . Is it true that I have to keep changing my position when I sleep?

2020-05-07I'm starting to get diarrhoea for 2weeks. Took antibiotic and recover slightly. Doctor say is stomach flu. After that still soft stool but at least got shape. Took probiotic given by GP only. 5 days later I start to feel uncomfortable bloat stomach and bit gastric pain and keep burping. Then when fart stool also come out. I'm very worry. 2020-05-07it’s with mixed feelings and a heavy heart that i will be saying goodbye to breastfeeding when baby is 6m. i have endured months of painful cracked blistering bleeding nipples, engorgement , lack of sleep and rest, stress at work from a not-understanding boss and colleagues, in order to provide breastmilk for my baby. i don’t produce a lot but i have tried hard and to the best of what i can do, to squeeze out whatever i can. i will dread whenever people ask, is baby on bm or formula? as soon i will have to say shamefully, the latter only. people have no idea how stressful and sad it is. conversations in the shared pumping room- “wow i have so much milk i don’t know where to store!” ... “my baby is almost 1 year and i plan to continue as long as she wants!” ... “i just need to pump 10min and i have 300ml” ... all these made me feel like a failure. to rub salt into my wounds (literally also), my baby refuses to latch sometimes but will drink straight from bottle after he bites/pushes me away. and still i endured till now. i know kind people will try to console me. but i can not help but feel i am a loser. especially when a big factor is due to work stress. i can endure the painful nipples but the stress of work piling up and being questioned by my boss “have u done this? that?” when i go to pump and my work just piling up with no help because i had to pump. my boss had hinted i need to buck up. so i end up working late and later & later with my engorged breasts. i am often the last one to leave office. even when i’m pumping i’m so fearful, i keep checking my emails. this was a major factor why i also decided to stop bf. and i feel ashamed as my baby should be the most important but i let work dictate what i do for him... but i cannot afford to lose this job as times are bad now and i need to feed the family. it’s a long post, thanks for being here and TIA for any positive thoughts sent out to me. thank you... and blessed Vesak Day.

2020-05-07A month ago, i found out my partner lied and kept something from me. He had wanted to call his ex wife regarding property they were trying to get rid of under their names. I had requested for him to make th phone call in front of me, which he agreed to. When the bill came, i found out he made 2 phone calls to her prior to the one he made in my presence. He confessed to it when I confronted him. His reason was he didn’t want me to get upset so he had arranged the phone calls to be short and as decent as can be. This isn’t the first time. I have lived my life for 3 years putting up with his constant “hiding” things from me (ostensibly to protect and not hurt me with the truth) hence such request to be present when the call was made. He even cheated on me 3 years ago and i forgave him and moved on. He does have a habit of lying and keeping things from me - these had happened at least once every 2 months for the past 3 yrs. This is a pretty minor mistake compared to him sleeping with another woman, but this time round, I noticed myself hating him each and every day. I hate it when he touches me, hugs me or even talk to me. I have never once felt this way towards him despite him treating me the way he did. Not helping that I have a child who loves him deeply and I found out i was pregnant before i found out about the phone call. What do i do now? Is there a chance that I could salvage this or have I reached my limit? I don’t know if i am hurt or if this means i have had enough of his bs.

2020-05-08Hi mummies, In 2017 I had 2 failed preganancies after taking Clomid. First one was Miscarriage and the second one was Ectopic pregnancy which result of having my right tube taken. I was emotionally affected with those events and stopped trying till last year. We went to see an OB again and she gave me letrazole but unfortunately it did not work. So, I decided to just leave it to God and wait for his blessing. And it came a surprise for me and my husband last week. I am pregnant!We immediately went to the doctor for a scan as I am more anxious because of my history. However, the scan was not clear yet as the embryo was still small so we are going back next week for another apointment. While waiting for that day to come, I am becoming more anxious especially when some cramps and pain on my left side of my abdomen and pelvis. I am praying that this pregnancy will be healthy and my baby gets to grow normally. ??

2020-05-08What's your opinion on your husband texting his friends about some random strangers he saw on the street? (when you're pregnant and stuck at home) with descriptions like 'saw a solid chiobu wearing sleeveless tank top and tight pants' and when the friend commented that 'can see but can't touch', your husband agrees. Below is the screenshot of the conversation. Orange is the husband. The rest are 2 of his frens. Update: His replies were expected. Says it's casual thrash talk n this is the way they talk. It's been rough 2 days of grilling him. Now he admits he is an idiot for typing this. Should I still trust him? I usually don't check his phone. It's due to a few reasons this time that I did and i didn't regret it a single bit. If he has nothing to hide. He didnt get angry n defensive at all and allows me to look at his phone every now and then. Perhaps I don't like to live in a delusional state and believe my life is perfect and fairytale like. I'm towards the belief that husbands and wives should be opened about everything. Not about no trust. Especially the divorce and number of cheating spouses rate is so high now. Update 2: Found out he also badmouthed about myself and my parents all these while when my parents have been nice to him. He also did not show any displeased about them so there wasn't any hint nor did he mentioned abt any unhappiness to me at all. He said he has regretted his action and exited and deleted the toxic chat group. He also said he will focus on me n the baby after this episode. I hope this is the end of the horrible chapter. Everything has deeply affected me so much. Having to believe everything was perfect and all but was hit with the very ugly truth.

Any tips from mummies who delivered at KKH recently on what will be provided so I don’t have to bring them? Plus what are the absolute essentials?? I am quite a no-frills person so I like to pack light haha. Am quite prepared to just wear the hospital gown plus go bra-less too so no need for night gowns or nursing bra. 2020-05-09My boyfriend works to provide our basic needs, I mean I am working too but I tend to spend more money than he does. So my question is, is it okay to ask your partner to spend some time with you whenever you come over (we live separately for now btw)? I wasn’t like this before I was pregnant. Am i asking too much? 2020-05-09My baby (13 days old) had been taking breastmilk and formula milk. My husband had accidentally been giving baby under diluted formula milk for about a week. He would put the powder in the bottle before pouring in water. I only found out recently and had changed the way formula milk was mixed. While baby's poo and pee appeared to be normal (poo about 2 times per day, urinate about 10 times a day), I am worried whether there is any impact on baby's health??
