2020-04-27Hi mummies! My LO (3 weeks old) tends to fight sleep and will fight to stay awake after his feeding at times. It can sometimes last until the next feed which is 2-3 hours later. We'll carry him when he fusses and cries, but once he's asleep, we put him down, he starts to cry again. The cycle continues until next feed. Are there any implications as I read that newborn should not be awake more than 45-60mins at 1 time. Pls advise! TIA!

She is very observant, follows instructions and pretty cautious of her surroundings. But she still have not spoken one proper word. Not even mom or dad. Should i be worried? Because I am. Also because our families kept asking if she had started talking. My kid just makes sounds. She can do matching printables like matching colours and shapes, matching continents of the world, arrange numbers. And we always keep talking to her, keep talking in full sentences. Is it really different kid develops differently?

2020-04-30Every time when I lift my 6 months old baby from the crib I hear a crack at the shoulder joint. My baby is quite active and strong for his age. At times when he don't feel like sleeping he would pull his head to the back when I am carrying him and trying to put him to sleep. As I was carrying him while seated I usually hear crack too at the shoulder joint. I have checked with the doctor at the polyclinic and 2 doctors said no. My baby still uses his hands for scooting. 2020-04-30Hi Mummies! my lo is 4 months old and is only 4.8kg now. During her 3 month check up DR said she was in the 3% percentile. She isnt gaining weight and its very worrying for me. I DL through the night and also bottle feed day time. she drinks about 90-120mls every 3 hours. Besides that good diaper output and she is hitting milestones. 2020-04-30Anyone here tried the cry-it-out method but didn't work on their LO? My son is 11 months, husband and I tried the method starting 2 weeks ago. At first things were going well, LO's crying got shorter and shorter till 10 mins he was asleep. But 3 nights ago LO's bedtime got worse... The moment we enter the bedroom (we share a room), he would start crying. At first we were able to pacify him back to sleep, but by the 3rd night it was nightmare - he didn't sleep till 7am! I had to carry him the whole night as he refused to be put down and would cry buckets again... Funny thing is daytime naps he is okay, just the nights. And he would be sleeping soundly till we enter the room. Is it us causing him to behave like this? Should we be sleeping in a separate room? TIA!

2020-04-30Went for my gynae appt and did a scan to check on baby. However, I'm suppose to be 7 weeks now yet baby stopped growing at week 5 and can't detect Heartbeat. Doc took my blood test and results was out today. My hormones level was 93% and doc said was very good and asked my dont give up. He schedule me for another scan next week. Is this a signal that she has "wakeup" from her sleep? How do we help her transit into sleeping after MOTN feed? Usually in the day, baby will play for 1 hr after feeding then she will be tired and sleep. It seems like she is doing this after her 3.30am feed. 2020-05-02My LO is 3.5months and is taking 170ml every 3 to 4 hours. She is no longer taking any night feedings so about 6-7 feedings in a day. She is on mixed feedings since birth. For some reasons, my LO's weight seems to be increasing quite a lot. She is 7.7kg, but her height does not seem to have increase much (9cm since birth till now). Am I overfeeding her? Additionally, as her milk demands increases, my milk supply remained stagnant. Now I have to combine more pump sessions breast milk into 1 feeding for her which starts to make me even more discouraged, like I pump so much but only enough for her to drink 3 feeds. It makes me very discouraged to continue pumping as I am the only caregiver (husband works in essential line) and I still have to work from home, and take care of her, pump milk and wash all the things. I feel like giving up.

Doc gave a choice to Csect or go for normal with induced however consequences of normal is excessive vagina tearing or baby shoulder might not pass because apparently his head is the normal size but body a bit too big.
