2020-04-13Sometimes I don't know should I be happy/ worry or unhappy. My MIL gave my son to try/ a few little sip of coke (whenever we drink coke, she will ask us gv a little bit for my son), milo and marigold yogurt. The rest only tried once with a sip. He is turning 6 months soon. I told her, don't give my son to try sweety food or drinks. She say nvm. Just a vy little sip only. And I'm staying with my MIL. I dk what should I feel. She is good. 2020-04-13Hi Mummies.. I am latching my 3 months old lo on demand and pump after every session to keep my supply. However I realize that I still get about 80-100mls when I pump after each nursing session. I am a low to average supply mum so it makes me wonder if my lo is getting enough milk during breastfeeding or is she just sucking but not drinking. She can latch for more than 45 mins each session. So far, diaper output is very good. But weight gain is not very good. How else to tell if baby getting enough milk.. Please advise.. TIA ?

2020-04-14Hi, I went for my routine check during week 10 and the gynae at KKH has advised me to take a dosage of Aspirin from week 11 onsqarda and to last throughout my pregnancy. This really puzzled me as I have no history of high blood pressure and heart issues. The gynae said taking Aspirin during pregnancy is to prevent complications in getting high blood pressure / stroke. Any mommies out there is taking it? I don’t feel comfortable taking it. After all it’s a Medication and I’m afraid of getting side effects.

The minute i put the paper in, i can feel my poor little bb being frightened by the sound, and my tummy feels like being turn upside down. My colleague who saw me holding my tummy in pain thought I'm gng to give birth. To me, this is an amazing experience which not many people may not have it. ?

I am scheduled for a counselling and blood test session for down syndrome (optional test) on the 12th week and was told to go for scanning on the 13th week, similarly for down syndrome. Can someone explain why I need to go down to KKH twice for blood test and scanning to check for down syndrome? Would I be able to know the results immediately after the scanning? Is there anything that other experienced mums out there could share with me too, e.g. How is the blood test like? Many thanks in advance!
2020-04-15Hello all, my Down syndrome test result ratio came out to be 1:287 and was told it was slightly high risk. The low risk ratio is 1:300. I was advised to go for further tests like NIPT which costs $375+ and honestly, I cannot afford it at a time like this. I’m not really worried, but I’m worried. ? I just want to know if it’s going to be ok if I forego the tests because the lady over the phone said I might just happen to carry the hormones at the time of drawing blood and may not harm the baby at all. But just to have a peace of mind, she recommended that I go for further checks in case I might have any other chromosomal abnormalities. Which I’m not interested because it’s expensive. Did any of you with high risk ratio forego further testing?

2020-04-16Dear mummies I am in this awkward position with my in laws who just move in to our house. Not that there is any fight or argument but i guess because we are still new to staying together under one roof with each other. So times where im in the living room with baby. My in laws will be in their room. When im in my room, my in laws will be in living room with baby. How do you guys manage such that there is a set of time a day for in laws to interact with baby. And other times i can solely take care and interact with baby and have his undivuded attention. How do you guys bring this across to your in laws? The situation is really tricky and awkward. Unlike if PIL live separately from us it would be easier as time they spend here visiting us or us visiting them will be solely time for them to interact with baby. But when staying under the same roof, this whole thing become very blurred and unclear. I definitely need my own time with baby given that i only have 4 months of ML and is coming to an end soon. Thereafter the time i have with my baby would just be a mere 3 hrs a day before baby goes to sleep and on weekend. Hence the time now is really precious to me. Yet when im solely taking care of my baby it feels as if like im depriving my inlaws the time they can soend with their grandchild. But they are gonna have whole lots of time interacting with the grandchild once im back to work. Anyone with similar situation mind sharing how you handle this?

2020-04-17My 3 month old drink 120-150ml every 3 hours. Sometimes after 2 hours he will crank badly, I am guessing that he is sleepy but my MIL always say he could be hungry. As I don’t want to overfeed him, I will try to make him sleep first. If he does sleep, I will not feed him until he wakes again for another feeding. 2020-04-18Went for my gynae appt today. Was told that my baby is not growing as per normal rate. Should be 7w3d but scan shows 5w6d and fetal heartbeat is slow at 88bpm. Doc advise me to wait for 2 weeks then go back and check but meanwhile during these 2 weeks foetus might just dispel from my body. Anyone have same experience but end up baby continue to grow as per normal and eventually delivered?

2020-04-18I was fine for the first 4wks. But ever since 5wks, i feel like throwing up eating homecook meals. I don’t have any issue with takeaways though. Anyone having same issue? This has last till 6wks. I’m not sure how long more will my body be rejecting homecook meals. ☹️
2020-04-18My baby is 5months old but have yet to sttn. From 1month plus - 3months he will sleep a first 4-5 hours cycle then wakes up every 2 hours. 3 months plus onwards, he wakes up every 2 hours. I thought he was close to the 4 months sleep regression. But it didn’t improved from there. Only surprise is once he slept a 6 hours straight (after 3months plus old). During 1-3 months, he slept once 9 hours & 7 hours. These 3 occasion was the only time we could have proper rest. Now I’m back at work, waking up every hour is tiring. Does any parents know if there’s any reason behind this or how i could improve? I doubt is not enough milk, I feel it’s more like a habit of waking up every 2 hours for latching. As he either latch or rocked to sleep
2020-04-18Seems like during breastfeeding period the miss jayjay is so dry it’s making intercourse hurt. Any of you mummies feel guilty not able to make husband happy, yet you don’t want to give up breastfeeding? Mixed feelings. Yes, husband is understanding enough. And no, lubricant does not work for me.

2020-04-18Coming to 3 months pp and period has returned but i am still having mild discharge on and off for many weeks. Whenever i wore my binder or exerted some strength, i noticed wil have sme blood discharge. Wondering is it still my period discharge or becos my internal wound not heal yet. Fyi, had csect.
