2020-03-30Hi mummies, I'm pregnant with my second child and will be due in July. During my first pregnancy I was staying with my parents and had my mum to care for me while I was on my confinement. Now for my second pregnancy, I already have my own house. My concern now is should I go back and stay with my parents during my confinement period or stay at home and have my mum to come to my house. This is because my husband works at night and during the day he'll be sleeping 4-5 hours. Which means I'll be on my own taking care of myself and the 2 children on top of the house chores need to be done. My husband approves of me staying over. But I feel bad leaving him alone at the house for 3 months while serving my confinement. Plus he needs to do the house chores by himself. He'll go home first to sleep before coming to my mum's place for lunch or dinner. What should I do? ??

2020-03-30Sharing tips ? . My baby has eczema issue and my pd recommended ceradan barrier cream. It's so good! Even when I brought my baby to Japan her skin didn't act up too. Previously pd gave me physiogel but my baby it didn't help. And I found this alobaby lotion super good. Now her eczema has recover I apply alobaby for her when she has some rash it will go away in 1 to 2 apply. . What I did after showering I will apply alobaby for her even face. Follow by ceradan recommended by my pd as ceradan is just a barrier cream. . Hope it can help some mummy solve their baby sensitive issue ?

2020-03-31Hi Mummies, my LO is 11 months but still not sleeping through. She only nap once in daytime (3hrs nap). Her last feed will be 12am and she will finish 200-250ml of milk. But she will still wake up 3.30am and ask for milk? And after finishing her milk she will refused to sleep back. By the time she sleep back, 5.30am, I will have to wake up for work soon. Nowadays my baby sleep longer.. at 2.5 hours I decided to store the ebm in the fridge..den just before 3 hours i took it out (becuz baby seem to wake up) to warm up and I know warmed milk can last 2 hours at room temperature (baby fall asleep again)? So in a way I extend the ebm for another 2 hours is that correct? ?
2020-03-31Baby on bottle strike suddenly only want to latch. Currently 1 yo, I gave baby 2 meal a day. So she actually miss both her milk feed while I'm away working. And she only want to be nurse now. Baby yet to sttn and her percentile drop from 75 to now 45. What can I do to make her drink from bottle again? 2020-03-31I donoe how to put it but I think my hubby is a bisexual? Recently he has been really really really close to one of our closest fren back then. We parted ways 11 years ago and now we started chatting. They used to be best friend until I came along. I find it weird now, that they both do videocalling almost every time of the day and night when they are free. (which guy as a fren would see guy faces and chatted almost 24/7 and what the hell are they talking abt almost every day). And the chat is like super long chat can last up to hours. He at times stayover, and they almost like do things together (go out, send him off downstair, watch TV together late night). Hub even went to 'meet' him after his flight at 7am (when he doesn't even fetch me to work) and the reason: I got nothing to do also at home so just go meet and have breakfast with him. Am I just being paranoid? Or is he really bi? I started to feel that hes really chatty with the fren and not the wife. We don't even talk for hours or video call each other and nvr had any long chat... Should I be jealous? I've known the fren. Maybe it just them having bro 'moment'? We three go out together like old times. He knows me and I knows him..

2020-04-01supposedly due on November,but god has better plan for me.Just had miscarried week ago, I’m so sad because I really planned for this pregnancy but ended up with miscarriage. Actually, my first visit to my doctor when I was 5 weeks 3 days and dr said he unable to see the yolk and fetus pole,maybe something not right ,from there I was paranoid and always negative with my pregnancy,thinking to much for blighted ovum ,ectopic pregnancy and etc. I experienced panic Attack as well, Sunday morning when I woke up and want to pass urine noticed got blood and turn to heavier bleeding and passing the clot,remind calm and see DR next day only,took 3 days for dr before diagnosed me as miscarriage.Gone thru many procedure within 3 days,blood workout to monitor HCG level, Pap smear and vaginal n abdomen scan. Lesson learned ,Please mama out there if experienced bleeding pls consult your Dr ASAP and always positive with pregnancy,I just realise maybe I think to much and also important for some Dr ,they really need give us positive vibes and not threatening us with other complications ,for me 5 weeks Mybe too early to see anything,same what other Dr said. Hopefully will recover back soon and get pregnant again. Even for few weeks only but I’m very happy to experience some pregnancy symptom .

2020-04-02Hello mummies. My LO is 5months old. It's so hard for me to put him to sleep during nap time in the afternoon.. When i've succeeded, he'll only nap for 10mins or less and then wakes up. After 30mins he will cry wanting to sleep again. I'll cradle him but he won't fall alseep. When i put him down he'll cry again. Usually it'll take me abt 30-60 mins before he eventually fall asleep again. And then wake up after less than 30mins ?And wants to sleep again afterwards

2020-04-03Hi ladies. So apparently I have been having this boil/inside pimple near my inner thigh as seen in the image(yellow circle). Nothing is visible except that you can feel a lump there which is uncomfortable when I sit or sleep cause I got thick thighs and no thigh gap. Went to the doctor once and doctor said it was nothing but it keeps appearing once it was gone a few weeks/months later. I am pregnant now and I am worried this will affect my baby. 2020-04-03My girl is taken care off by my parents since young. Although i do send my girl to child care since 18 mthsz, my parent (who doesnt approves my sending her to child care) will pick her around noon since they doesnt like her to nap in school. I dont approve ipad (i even not let my girl see me using phone), but my parent introduced it to her. I limit sweets and chocolates, but my parent let her have whenever she wants I tried talking to my parents abt it and even had conflicts because if this. Anyone had the same issue? How do you manage it?

2020-04-03Hi! I have a small issue that I need some advice on. So I have wonderful in laws to begin with, they are nice people and don't carry any I'll intentions. However, sometimes they can be rather naggy and overzealous about our lives. They are always missing us and wanting to meet up for dinner with us. Firstly, my hub and I work, so that puts us out of energy 6 days out of the week. I also drive 20km to work and 20km back from work 6 days a week being pregnant. They also want us to go to their house to eat once a week, their house being 20mins away from ours too. We only have Sundays to rest. My in laws are semi-retired so they're always asking when is the next meet up, asking us what we want to eat and buying fruits to pass to us. In a way, I feel exhausted with them always pressuring us to meet and finding reasons to meet up when our schedules are so tight. Secondly, due to pregnancy hormones I get easily agitated. Sometimes they might make comments that doesn't sit well with me and nag about things during dinner when I just want to faster eat and go home. E.g. "So early go home for what", "when are you coming again". I appreciate that they pass us household items and fruits, but the thing is when I reject some of it, they insist. They also pressure me to finish the food that they prepare (too many dishes for 4 people) even though I repeat many times that I'm full, so every time I go home being overly-full and become very uncomfortable. So the once happy-go-lucky me has become short-tempered and I find myself avoiding them/wanting to avoid them. This is also because I'm afraid I'll lose my temper when I'm with them. My baby is arriving in about 3 months and I'm already dreading their input. Somehow I feel like avoiding them already and after giving birth I heard that your emotions and hormones will be more overwhelming than during pregnancy. I don't want to lose my temper in front of them. My hub and I figured that I should set boundaries and let them know when they should come to our house to help out, if we need their help. As I will be home for at least 3 months and I will have a maid and a confinement nanny. My mother in law even asked me where she could sleep without us mentioning about that. We already have a maid and confinement nanny, we don't have any more space for them, so I turned that down. She always repeated that she don't trust the maid to take care of the baby which I agree, but that's what many couples have arranged and they did fine. Deep inside me, I know it's wrong to feel this way but I'm also afraid they will "snatch" my baby away from me. I want this precious 3 months after birth to be an inteimate time of just me, my hub and my baby. I want to set days that they can come to visit and times that they should let me rest and go home but I have no idea what kind and how much help I would need from them. Any advice from mummies that experience similar scenarios and how to manage this issue? Thanks in advance!
2020-04-03Hi, I've been working from home for almost 2 months and 13 weeks pregnant. I am usually tired and would do my work on my bed with the laptop on my lap or abdominal area. Is the heat or radiation from the laptop would affect the baby? Tried google-ing it but getting mixed response. Appreciate if you ladies can advice or give your input on this.

2020-04-03After giving birth is so painful to walk around the house to get things done. So I have my husband and my father in law helping me take care of my newborn. However my husband sometimes is being distracted with his game(state of survival) he is the leader of an alliance and he is an addicted gamer. Sometime I feel like he doesn't give his 100% attention to my little one. For example I am able to feed my little one 2 Oz of milk for each feed but he is only managed to feed 1 Oz claiming that she is full. When I look at him feed her, he took a really long time before burping her because he is busy clicking on his phone. I did mention it to him not to play so much on his phone before giving birth because I have the same issues with him with my first Newborn. He doesn't seems to change. I just have to wait for myself to recover but it is so painful looking at my second newborn not receiving enough care. My father in law do take care of my newborn as well. However I do not like it when he said that she needs to be fed according to time not because she is hungry than feed her... I don't really want my baby to starve. I really wish I can just recover and take care of my newborn on my own without their help. What should I do now?

2020-04-03My LO is 10 weeks now and since he was at 6weeks I noticed that he is predominantly using his right hands, such as waving right arm higher than left and using right hands to “touch” things and sucking his right hand more often Should I be concern of this issue at this stage? Because I read that babies shouldn’t have hand preference this early and if they do it could be a symptom of cerebral palsy. I am worried sick. Any parent notice the same for your LO and they are fine?

I am trying to feed my baby bm as frequent as I can, however for night feedings, say I need to use the bm in the fridge as I am pumping at a later timing, however it takes time to warm up the bm as well which is impossible for a crying baby to wait, so in the end prepare formula (which is faster). 2020-04-04After baby enter IFC for 2 days, baby develop diarrhea. Visited polyclinic and doctor issue electrolyte drink cause baby is only 2mo. Her feeding is ok - no reduced, very active, watery eyes, no sunken head, no fever or vomit. But already D4 but still diarrhea after every meal. Anybody know when the diarrhea will go away??

Everything was going well and just one day, realized there's spotting, went into A&E, baby heartbeat can't be detected though baby was growing well - doubled in size from last scan. As we are hoping for rainbow baby now, we are wondering if there's anything else we could have done better for the next pregnancy. For the last, the Dr only gave folic acid, so I was only taking that and maternal milk powder. I’m 19wks pregnant and I’m having acid reflux and sharp pain in my left rib cage esp when deep breathing, sneezing, or lying left side. It started last 1st Apr when I ate maybe too much beef, and plantain banana with green veggies. Since then whenever I eat I’ll be having acid and gas. It’s been 4 days and since I’m not taking any meds, it’s far from getting better :( I went to GP and gave me Anarex and Famotidine which I also informed my OB and waiting for her reply.. 2020-04-04I really can’t stand my confinement nanny. She always don’t listen to us and do things her way, keep saying that she has look after many babies before she know. And things that she say she keep changing her words. Few of the incidents such as: 1) baby had jaundice so FM feeding need to be every 2hrs instead of 3hrs. When we told her of feeding more frequently then reduce the intake she say Ok but always still feed the same amount. 2) she told us once jaundice drop can drag back to 3hrs, no problem. Now baby jaundice drop and doc already confirm can change the feeding time to 3hrs she now tell me very hard to change. 3) whenever baby cry she will say baby is hungry need drink FM but that’s not the case, when we carry her she stop crying. But nanny insist feeding her and proceed to prepare the milk. 4) she don’t like it when we are close to our baby, whenever we carry her she would ask to carry. 5) treat baby as alarm clock every night. We caught her a few times not waking up to feed baby, we have to go over to wake her up or baby cry will wake her up. If not she will never feed. 6) this morning baby cry so hard she just ignore, we realise baby pooping so we change the diaper when we are almost done then she come in the room and ask us go wash our hand, she will do (when we are already done, just need to carry baby back to cot). 7) whenever we tell her something, she will always show us black face. A lot of other stuff but I can’t list down everything. Sorry for the rant but I just don’t like it when she always change her words, and never listen. If she choose not to listen at least tell us the reason, etc instead of agreeing to it but do another behind our back.

2020-04-04Hi mummies, I was told by my gynae 3 weeks back that my urine has slight bacterial growth and there isn't a need to treat as I do not have any symptoms. But this morning, I went to the GP for abdominal pain. GP did urine test for me and was told I am having urine infection which I assumed was the untreated infection. He prescribed me with amoxicillin antibiotic which he mentioned is the safest for pregnancy. My questions; 1. Should I listen to my gynae? Or 2. Should I just continue taking the antibiotic given by the GP?
