2020-03-23My lo is 7 weeks old and we introduce pacifier for 2 days. It's been hell after we introduce pacifier. It was easy for her to sleep but once pacifier drop out she cries, which is every half an hour. And when she is on pacifier she can forget to feed. Now when we introduce feeds she refuses bottle and screams at the bottle. But when we slot in the pacifier she is ok. Also now when we try to soothe her to sleep, it takes 1-2 hour without pacifier. It's like she is addicted to pacifier. We tried taking out pacifier after she is sleepy but turns wide awake. Help!! How do we make her not reliant on pacifier so much?

If unsuccessful will need emergency Csec. Should I still go ahead induce or just change to Csec.. So as not to waste time induce and waste my pain effort to try. 2020-03-23Dear mummies My mil and i are taking care of baby together. I am currently on ML. It hurts me that baby stop crying when my mil carry and crylike murder when i carry. I feel jealous toward my mil and even a tinge of hate toward baby for stop crying when my mil carry. I sometime secretly hope that baby cry when my mil carry so that i knows baby cry cause of some other reason rather than just want to be attached to my mil. 2020-03-23I've let my LO to try on several bottles including brands like NUK, Avent & Dr Brown's. Now she's currently on Dr Brown's but I'm mixing bottles between the older version and the new version. I noticed that whenever she drinks with the older version, she will always play with the teats, pushing it around left and right with her tongue and too longer time to start drinking (even when she's hungry). For the newer version, she will also play but for only a few seconds and start to drink immediately after that. She's currently using 6 bottles in total (4 older version Dr Brown's and 2 newer version Dr Brown's). Her feeding is very irregular. Sometimes drink 40ml, sometimes drink 120ml. Am I confusing her with 2 diff teats? Should I just discard the 4 and replace them to the newer version one instead? I find it abit wasted cos 2 of the older version has only been used for like less than a month

2020-03-24I have been using haaka for a while and now it starts to hurt at skin where the flange are. My nipple and areola are not pain at all, but the skin is. Why and how to avoid this pain?? 2020-03-24Hi mummies I'm very stress recently. My baby currently 11 month old. She has been good eater since young at 2 month old she's has been drinking 140ml ebm every 3 hour. And at 3 month she's drinking 180ml. Recently for the past 3 month she don't even drink 100ml per session only 1 session of day she may drink about 140ml what should I do? I have tried changing teats and bottle still won't works. Her weight from 85 percentile drop until 40 percentile. I have been giving her lunch and dinner solid food. And she fully latch at night. 2020-03-24Hi, I'm 42 yo, my baby due on 7 July. Unfortunately my hubby needs to quit job 10 May. Now he still has no new job. I'm full time housewife. I'm so stress for the future a lots. My hubby is very good man, caring and trying to do things for family. But the thing is he is a bit dumb until he can't work long in anywhere he work. So he decides to apply to sell food in school wish we really hope he will get it. At least he loves cooking though he is slow process cooker. He works in burger shop but he can't make good and presentable burger when he's home. Even do fries, still not ok. This morning I found him steamed bun buy putting bun in the plate and just placed it in the rice cooker directly. Plate almost broken. I feel so desperate in my marriage and feel so pity to my unborn son. We have no save up as he earns so little. I cried almost everyday whenever I see he do some dumb things....... Sorry to share but I do really stress.

2020-03-24Hi mummies is it true that gassy baby will avoid drinking milk when its their feeding time? My 2 month boy refuse to drink and will keep on crying once we put the bottle in his mouth. His on fully formula milk. Its been a week and its going crazy! Any idea is it because of gassiness or reflux? He did not have any spitting but he is fussy during feeding. Can only get him to drink while his sleepy mode. Check with GP no oral thrush but doctor only say milk strike and give me vitamin to boost his appetite. But it doesn't seem like milk strike to me. 2020-03-24My 11 weeks old daughter refuse to sleep on her own. I tried to carry her to sleep and then placing her on the bed or cot but she will end up waking up in less than 5 mins. Tried rocker too but she is a super light sleeper. Even if we wash something in the kitchen, it will wake her up. She won't nap more than an hr lately. She can only sleep at night but during day time i have so much difficulties that i can't even do any house chores. She expects me to carry her all the time. HELP!

2020-03-27Here to rant out... One day, my mum happened to give my little girl who was only less than 2 months at the time gula melaka. She put a drop into her mouth. On another occasion, when my baby was crying at a buffet, she said give the baby ice cream. I was mad after that. I mentioned it to her and her defense is always "It is only a tiny bit". My partner told me not to argue or to tell her nicely, but knowing my mum no matter how nicely I told her, she always make it seems like I am blaming her. She told me she wanted to look after my daughter on Saturdays while she is free and I am at work. Then I just let out my anger, I couldn't stand my mother on the incident of the syrup that I told her I was questioning my trust mainly because of that incident. Then she decides to play the victim and said she did all the things for me, supported me when I wanted to be a single mum, help clean up after me and all and this is the thanks she gets. Let also explain that to be honest she never supported me being a single mum, she never supported that partner is Punjabi (she is racist), and that I wanted to put Kaur in my daughter's name. So much so, she and my father said I was being stubborn and I was being influenced by him. All the decisions I made, I made for my daughter and made lovingly with my partner. My partner didn't conflict and even reduce himself down to taking out his surname and Kaur from her name and just call her by my surname only. Before I was pregnant and everything, I was suffering from depression and anxiety attacks mainly due to the problems at home. Back to current events, I ended up apologising for being harsh and my mother does not apologize for anything! My bro and dad both said my mum did not do anything wrong and it was done in the past. I honestly do not trust my mum with my daughter.

My hubby reaches home at 7pm, we have dinner and he only spends a v short time with baby before I prepare her for bed time at 9pm. Full latch until she falls asleep. I have tried asking him to bottle feed but after that he can’t get baby to sleep successfully and I still need to wrap up. Also saying I need to understand as he is working and I am not. I am like yes you are working but work life was so much easier than SAHM with no income and 24/7 job with lesser sleep than him. He is outside watching TV while I latch baby to sleep and expect baby to sleep with no fussiness and when he’s tired just come into bedroom to sleep. I feel like I am all alone in parental duties sometimes.

On my previous check up (28wks) my baby's weight was 1680g, with her abdominal circumference being 259mm..gynae mentioned that baby is on the chubbier side particularly in her tummy. I don't have GD, my glucose test results at 25 weeks came out normal and throughout my pregnancy I have had iron deficiency as well. There's been several occasions where I feel like I'm going to faint or almost faint (become nauseous and start seeing stars), especially when I walk too much/weather too hot/never eat. Could this be bcos of baby's size? Why is baby so big? Could this just be a sudden growth spurt and maybe she'll slow down..? I don't feel like I've been eating a whole lot for baby to be overweight. I'm 24 years old and this is my first pregnancy. ? I really want to have a natural birth so any dieting advice will be greatly appreciated..
