2020-03-16I dont know how do i start to share about my problems as i have no one to talk to.. no one to share to.. im currently staying at a rental flat with no room with my husband. We only live with a fan , small pillow and small mattress to sleep with. And also rice cooker to cook water and maggie. Most of the day we only afford to eat once and if if we’re lucky, there will be dinner for us to share . I have been asking help from SSO & and also help from hospital but its been months yet theres no reply regarding my issue.. my hospital bills getting higher and i have never taken any medicine for myself nor the baby.. its sad actually.. I can’t blame my husband infact im greatful as he’s working very hard as a grabfood rider and i know hes saving the money for us all including the baby needs in future.. i even went to google website to search for every samples of milk formula for myself but most of it is only for one time try .. I have yet to even prepare anything.. my next hospital appointment will be next month and im considering to ditch it again or not as im so ashamed of the overall bills.. Dear to whoever reading this, I’ll appreciate your kind prayer tht may God bless us with good health and wealth.. with patience to overcome everything that is happening and will happen.. ?

2020-03-17Just did my 20 wks scan.. sonographer said everything is ok. Cervical length is also good. but in report i saw conclusion: low lying placenta. What is this and is this common at 20 wks? Just curious.. i still have few more days till my gynae appointment and will definitely ask her regarding this. Just wanna knw if any of you face this. To add on, my journey to work is really far. I probably need to walk abt 40 mins one way. Will this affect my pregnancy? Thanks.
2020-03-17My LO used to be able to sleep independently by sucking one hand while the other hand is swaddled. He did not have much reflex. However ever since he noticed his hands ( e.g look n hold his hands), his moro reflex seems to get stronger and making it difficult for him to sleep. Any mummies experience this?

2020-03-17My baby is around 8 weeks old, during the day when I breastfeed him, he will nurse for thirty min then start to fall asleep and I will pull him off the nipple and he will be alright for two hours without showing signs of hunger(rooting, smacking of lips etc). However, when it reaches around 6pm or so, he will latch for one to two hours but still appear hungry after that and cries. Anybody experiencing this? It's so tiring to latch him so often

2020-03-17Hi mummies, JTS the Diaper cream I'm using and it do wonders to my baby bump! It's the QV barrier cream. My girl has sensitive bump I have tried many brands even those highly rave one but it doesn't works. I came across this Diaper cream and gave it a try wow by it! I just apply on the little bump and redness area by next Diaper changing session you can see the result. The bump is so clear and good again haha! Hope it helps!

2020-03-17Hi mummies, I'm a baker and thinking of selling homemade bread, cookies, muffins for babies. Just want to see how mummies feel about it? Would you purchase or not, and why? Personally I feel processed baby snacks are quite unhealthy and have stuff like refined sugar, palm oil, artificial flavouring, even popular brands like Gerber. Adult bread is also not suitable for babies, since they sometimes contain honey, salt, vegetable shortening, and also a lot of sugar. Let me know how you feel!

2020-03-17Who supplement their baby after breastfeeding? I had my LO for 2 over months and even though I love the bonding of breastfeeding, I am not happy with the commitment that follows. Constant demand feeding, feeding for almost up to an hour, never being able to put my baby down for a minute, always worrying if there is enough, every time I pump my baby is hungry even more or cries more at the boob, always having to try to be positive for the best milk supply, the pressure of pleasing a pro breastfeeding family, where encouragement feels more stressful than supportive. I need advice and guidance. I just for once like to be told I am doing my best and whatever decision I make for my daughter is the best and not the worst.
2020-03-17Hi Mummies, I’m down with a bad sore throat and cough, feeling feverish on and off also. I’m at my 8th week of my pregnancy. Is this normal? I went to the doc last night and since I had flu-like symptoms, I was given 5 days compulsory MC by the doc. I’m afraid my fever will affect the baby. Doc prescribed me with a mild cough mixture so I think that shouldn’t be a problem right? My head is really messing with me right now. Tsk.

2020-03-18Honestly I dreaded the kaypoh nanny to go before but when she’s finally leaving I found myself in tears. Suddenly gonna miss her nagging and also the fear of handling newborn sank in. I think I just dun like changes. Well, life goes on, doesn’t it? And businesses are bad, reinforced by some virus somemore. I might be losing my job when maternity leave ends.
2020-03-18In 29 wks pregnant with twins and i know they said shortness of breath is normal by now. But it's quite bad for me that even when im standing for a few minutes, i have to catch my breath. Sitting comfortable is a struggle too. Working in the early childhood industry isnt easy either. I went to KKH and they gave me 5 days mc to rest but its coming to an end and i still feel the same. 2020-03-18Hello.. I am an indian. My age is 28. Actually i am underweight (38) and my height is 5.1 I look very thin and physically weak, but not much. But i look like a patient, yes! 2020-03-18Hi, this is my husbands second marriage, my 3mths baby and me are staying together with his 2 children age 8 and 11. They have a very good helper with them since they were baby, who is taking care of my baby now. However, the helper doesnt really listen to me when I comments about my baby's situation. Eg baby's face always scratch with fingernails.. or excessive crying.. Her reasons: busy with housework n 2 other children. Have asked if needed a part time helper to do chores so as she can focus on infant. She said no and could handle. How would u all address to such situation? Any advice might help :) thanks.

I have been oiling with olive oil on baby hair and skin for 15-30 min before bath. I wipe away the olive oil without rinsing with any shampoo. I gently rub my baby scalp and face/ear to remove cradle cap but it keeps appearing and spreading to more places such as side of scalp. Any more solutions to improve situations?? I have tried this for almost 3 weeks and cradle cap still alot. Am planning to purchase cradle cap comb + mustela foam shampoo to try. TIA ----Edit----- I bought the cradle cap comb + mustela foam cleansing. 1) before bath, oil baby hair with olive oil for 5 min 2) using comb dip in water, scrub baby scalp till forehead gently in circular motion for around 5 min 3) foam up shampoo onto baby hair and scrub with comb for 5-10 min on baby scalp till forehead 4) rinse off with clothe for a few times until shampoo is gone 5) wipe baby scalp with clothe to remove debris of dead skin I have been doing for w 2 days and baby cradle cap has improved alot. I'm wondering how to clean her ears and eyebrow. Will be trying soft toothbrush
2020-03-20My 2 months old baby refuse to drink milk. Its time to feed him, he will cry a lot and when putting the milk bottle into his mouth, he will push it and cry even louder. However when he is asleep, we will try to feed him and he will drink the milk. Went to the GP n check there nothing wrong with his mouth or tongue. I have to lie only on my sides to get some relief. When I sit I feel pelvic pain. Baby is growing normally and average size at this point but ultrasound shows baby head lying really low at my cervix. I can no longer walk without feeling tired/pain/discomfort. Will prenatal massage help or do I have to endure this every single day until I deliver? I am also diagnosed with GD and low iron. Both are managed with diet control and supplement. Btw I dunno if the belly pain is BH because all along my BH never was painful. Now I feel sharp poking pain around my tummy or like nerve pain sort of. My legs are getting weak due to the increasing cramps lately. Any suggestions will greatly help.

2020-03-20It's been 4 weeks after gave birth to my baby girl and my breastmilk is so little. At most is only 10-20ml. I took Confinement meals, tried massaging and pumping every 3 hours for 30mins with electronic and manual breastpump, eat lactation cookies, and took those tea that can help boost milk supply. But do all this, my milk supply still less. Can hormones actually affect your breastmilk?

We gave in and bought the yao lan. I read about shaking baby vigorously causing internal brain bleeding. The max speed for the yao lan is 4 and my husband uses his hand to shake the yao lan faster and lower, he says baby likes this and sleeps faster. While iappreciate her help in taking care of babybut given that she is a motherly figure makes me feel like she is a competitor. And it doesnt help that i will be going back to work soon. 2020-03-21Hi mummies! I have a concern that has been around for sometime as i knowwww it could affect my baby's health. Since young i have an habit of not eating proper meals, i could go on a day with only a meal or two or some days even if there isnt any meal i am okay. Adding on to that, i dont drink waterr regularly! Probably half a cup every 2-3hrs, unless im having a meal i try to drink up alot. Lately im into Carbonated drinks which usually im not even interested. Is there any advice? I really want to take a good care of my health so i could do the same for the baby, but i can't seem to be doing whats best.
2020-03-2112 days pp & exclusively pumping, pump sessions about 3-5hrs apart & each session about 30mins with double pump + hand express about 5-10mins before my boobs are empty, each session i get about 170/180-240ml combined, total at end of day is about 890-1200ml am i considered oversupply? i only have max 7pump sessions, normally only 5/6
2020-03-21I'm use to working life style, my work need me to run around Singapore. After confienment I thought Ill be able to go out have some breather. Than, the virus start to get more serious after 2 month, total staying home confine for 3rd month. Hubby is very discourage for me to go out to dine or just a short walk because me and baby is A Blood grp and news say that would be infected easily. I told him Im craving for certain food his not interested to satisfied my craving after 9month pregnant , plus still being confined cos of the virus.. his picky too in food and dosent want to go out to eat with me. Nvm, go supermarket, told him I wana eat crab, I can cook and eat home instead, his not entertaining me either, ask me buy my own portion. Than what's the point of eating. He dosent understand that I need to go out a little, not even a nearby dine in mac donald and Have some breath taking space

2020-03-21Hello mummies, Anybody feels the same as me? Sometimes i feel so useless as a mother that i really wanna give him up for adoption to my mum. Cause he kept calling his “popo” and always looking for her instead of me. Ever since he was a baby, ive been the one taking care of him. But when i started working than my dad or mum would rotate to care for him after his childcare. Recently im not working, and staying at home most of the time. But he still keep going to my mum instead of me though im spending more time with him. I go crazy sometimes honestly. I would quarrel with them and even my boy. Idk whether is this a sign of depression or not as my family kept bringing this up and saying otherwise im just pure crazy. I dont feel happy most of the time, i love my boy, but its feels like he doesnt even love me as a mother. I can tell my entire family is so sick of my nonsense and it makes me even more helpless. I dont have friends or family to open up to. Not even my own husband.

2020-03-21hi mummies. my baby is only 1month old plus. i realised my hubs have bad habits with sleep schedule that causes our girl to cry alot at random timing. so recently while he was away for few nights for work, did a sleep schedule test for my girl. she feeds every 2-3hrs so i tried to fit in with the schedule. it WORKED as my girl is able to sleep thruout the night with little to zero cries (unless she poopoo?) sooooo i told my hubs abt it and he said that our girl is too young for any sleep schedule. i was like hmm true but need to start somewhere so that she and us can have a rest mah. he said dont need.i was like ok lor up to you. isit wrong for me to put the sleep schedule (not strict/flexible) in place? ? i felt that my girl milestones are quite fast as observed so putting schedule in will be good. i also realised that i managed to get 1.5-2.5hr nap uninterrupted hahaha
