2019-10-08My baby is 7 weeks old. My hubby insist to let the baby cry non stop when the baby is cranky. Meaning diaper already change also feed the baby. My baby like to be hold, pat and walk around so she could fall aslp easily. My hubby said want to train the baby from young but I cant bear to see her keep crying non stop till cough and choke. My heart break but i cant do anything when I pumping my milk and my hubby is the one looking after her during this period of 30 to 45 mins. It is ok to let baby keep crying till she stop? 2019-10-08Hi mummies and daddies My one month old makes sleep time so so difficult. She stays awake too long, maybe more than 2 hours at times, and sleeps less than 2 hours. It's even worse at night because she'll be overtired by then. And she only falls asleep well if carried or breastfed. Otherwise once I put her down she starts crying again. And she'll get cranky and pull at the nipple or start grunting a lot. Anyone knows what's going on? Very very tired mum here.
2019-10-08I have quite frequent leg cramps at night, my partner does get up to help me bcos of my cry for help, just today he was so angry at me and kept telling me to relax however it was too painful and the pain lasted longer this time. He was so pissed he ignored me and went to bed leaving me there. What are your views on this type of partner?
2019-10-08Hi my newborn is ard 2weeks old. She is cranky, start to cry for no reason while she is sleeping, even when the Diapers is clean and just fed her less than half hour ago. We tried using medicated oil and eucalyptus oil daily on her, it works for awhile and the problem comes back again till she rarely sleep over 2hrs at a go throughout the night. Only during daytime then she can sleep 3hrs n more. And we noticed when she sleep, she will make noises here and there, grunt or cry one time and sleep back again but hands and legs still move occasionally. We sent her for newborn screening at day 10 but was told everything was okay with her. Any advise what's going on or ways to calm the baby more? Now we are trying Colic drops as well
2019-10-08It didn't occur to me that it would happen to me but it did. I’ll try to summarise as much as I could else it’ll turn this into a novel. For almost 10 years we’ve been together, he had been nothing but faithful until this year. He is a respectable man and doted on me. However, after our first child, we starting growing apart. I spent all my energy on our child but we still had sex regularly until our child co-sleep with us. That was the beginning of the end. I got pregnant again quite unexpectedly, we wanted to wait another year initially. Being pregnant and taking full-time care of a toddler made me physically exhausted by the end of the day and caused my sex drive to be on an all-time low. Subsequently, we started to communicate lesser because I felt like he couldn't understand my sacrifices and vice-versa. We only spoke when necessary else we’ll quarrel and I tried to give him sex 1-2 a month but he stopped demanding for it after a while. I did ask him before why isn't he asking for sex (before I found out) and he just casually said it's because I didn't feel like it and didn't want to pressure me into giving. Soon enough, I reached the 7th month of my pregnancy and that was when I found out he went behind my back to visit prostitution. My whole world honestly collapsed and the trust that was there for all these years gone in an instant. He was the last man I believed would ever do that to me but I was wrong. He came clean. He answered everything that I asked on the spot and begged me not to leave him. He admitted he visited the brothel a total of three times and the first time he visited was when I was 2-3 months into pregnancy. He cried and told me there was no excuse for what he did, he just fucked up. He also told me he planned to go once more before I deliver the child and wasn't expecting me to find out. (too honest?) I talked to him a bit more while I was crying nonstop, he claims his friends some attached some married also did the same and they make it sound like it's socially acceptable to do it. It was really daunting because all these while, I never thought we had a problem in our marriage. After the incident, we ironically became closer than before. We communicated more, voluntarily spending more time with each other and became more transparent about our feelings towards each other. He also made his location known to me by letting me track him on the ”find my friends” app so I can feel more at ease but I try not to look at it much else it makes me feel like I'm crazy. However, the wound is still very fresh and I often wonder if I should ever trust him again? Until now, I haven't told him I forgive him but I will strive in that path of forgiving. I hope no mummies here ever have to experience this kind of a pain but if there is, I would be very glad to hear your advice, opinion, and story about it. ??

2019-10-10I had arguments with my mom as there are a lot of restrictions due to superstitious. She is always telling me that I am not allowed to sew things, not allowed to eat this or that and even not allowed to travel out of Singapore as it would cause harm to the baby when she is born. Even when I told her that I had checked with the gynae regarding travelling by taking cruise or even to JB, she would say that the gynae is too young and which is why they will say it is okay. I cannot understand her mindset. The food she doesn't allow me to eat even includes soy milk and she told me that I can only eat apple or pear because the other fruits are either too heaty, too cooling or will cause baby to have phlegm when born. She doesn't allow me to drink cold drinks as well, saying it will cause the baby to have weak lungs or asthma. Additionally, she says soy milk will cause the baby to have phlegm when born, and bird nest is too cooling for the body. To be honest, I know that she cares which is why she restricts but her list of restriction is far beyond my expectations, and then will continue to say it is because of me being a young mom which results my irresponsibility of taking care of myself during pregnancy period. I had told her that I tried to avoid raw food or anh food that cause uterus contractions as what my gynae had recommended. But to her, she will always say I only believe in the doctor, but not her when she has given birth before. ?

2019-10-10This is probably a rant or sharing post but I feel really stuck with. I'm living with my in-laws, and our BTO will be ready by 2022. Back story is, I was accused of stealing from my in-laws before and the item was found (thankfully!). My concern now is, I'm not sure of my in-laws are pushing me or they're just impatient but the young people around us (ie, hubby cousin, in-laws' boss's kids) have given birth one after another, and recently my mil started cooking herbal soup for me and even went to the temple to pray to guanyin. My in-laws are those super annoying and kaypo type of folks, they even want to comment on what I had for dinner (when I was cooking) and help themselves to my food when I'm done cooking like just a bite that kind, and all sort of comments will surface like need to add what seasoning blablabla. Sometimes will say unhealthy like come on, maybe buy for me ah next time. I dont know, it makes me feel really out of place and definitely get on my nerves a lot. My mil like to say let nature takes its course but yet she's cooking soup, and keep feeding me information about pregnancy and childbirth. It was an easy experience for her, not much pain, gave birth within 30mins when she arrived in the hospital but my mom and everyone else around me had a hard time, and the fact that everyone is different she dont get it. I told my husband, if I ever get pregnant tell your mom to leave me alone as much as she can, these actions really stresses me out. I dont want anyone to visit me if I ever gave birth, I dont want unnecessary comments from your mom teaching me what to do. I want to be left alone with the baby, I'm gonna lock our room door. I understand she's concerned or impatient but she had her time. It's my time when it's my turn so let me do my thing alone. She wouldn't like it if her mil did that to her as well right? (Which she told me before, she was lecturing my husband as a kid and his grandma cut in, she told my husband grandma off as well.) I told my parents all of it and they were mad, but remained cool unless my in-laws really push it. All they told me was as long as my husband takes my side, I'm all good. No point having good in-laws if husband is trash. But still, I cannot forget the unpleasantness of being accused and now you expect me to give you grandchildren?

2019-10-12My Lo is 2 month old now and he was born a preemie. So I am very concern about him not using anything that is clean. After arguing with my husband, he finally bought a Haenim UV steriliser which I can use at home. And since then we had only given baby sterile bottles and using only sterile breastpump. The problem now is: Since me and Lo go out quite frequently and I am going back to work soon. I ask my husband if he can buy me a 59s portable UV sterilising bag (which also work as a cooler bag to store breastmilk). He was furious and insist that I am wasting money again. But I don't find it a waste of money at all. Everytime when we bring Lo out, we have to bring at least 4~5 sterile bottles (we don't repeat used bottles) and since breastpump took alot of space, I will only bring 1 sets out and dispose my breastmilk on the go. ? I simply want to bring convenient to myself and him. I don't understand why he have to be so frustated when we can wash and sterile bottles and breastpump on the go and do not need to bring as much thing when we go out.

2019-10-12I dont know if my LO is full during breastfeeding. Latching was good. Everytime my LO breastfeed she will fall asleep and look very full. But after a few min she want it again and fell sleep. This repeating routine can take almost 2 hrs. After that 2 hrs she still want more milk and cry out loud till she refuse to latch, and i have to give her my bm through bottle. Is this normal? Thanx!

2019-10-12No matter if you are a WAHM, SAHM or FTWM, we mothers are all equally exhausted and always trying to struck a balance between kids and our me time. Unfortunately is not really possible and one have to make adjustments. 2019-10-12Hi all, I would like to know the sequence on when should I freeze my breastmilk. Currently, I have excess of 400ml to 500ml of bm per day based on my 2 months LO intake. I will put in fridge fresh for 2 to 4 days. Sometimes it will start to have abit of sour smell after 2 days then I will have to throw it away. Maybe my fridge temp not right previously as I just moved the bm to chiller compartment 2 days ago. So my question is should I freeze my bm every pump or freeze partial portion and the rest put in chiller for next feeding? Also, when should I start using my frozen bm? Is it after I stop pumping bm ? I have been storing my pumped bm in a storage bag and pour for 2 to 3 feedings. Not sure is this the right method or should I store by a fixed quantity (eg 100ml). My LO refuse to latch since day 1 so I can only pump and store for feeding. Appreciate your kind advice. Thank you
