2019-06-24How can i avoid neglecting my second child? My 3 kids are 4, 2 and 3 weeks old currently. With my first, i got to spend a full 2 years with him before diverting my attention to my second boy. Even now, we get to spend time together when i bring him for enrichment classes (no 2 had not started enrichment, just childcare). At night, i sleep with youngest boy while the elder boys sleep together with their grandparents. Somehow i feel that i am not doing enough with my no 2. It would also be weird to bring him out alone without my eldest boy as my eldest boy would insist to tag along. Can anyone share how can i better manage the kids such that i wont neglect my no 2?
2019-06-24Anyone experience sharp shooting pain on either side of butt when walking especially? The pain is very intense with every step I take. We have done a lot of research but could use help with our decision, especially if you know about these schools. We’re likely to stay in Singapore long term and our son would either go to local or international school after pre-school. We are debating between Mindchamps Concorde (most academic), Superland UE Square, and Pats School House Liang Court (least academic). Superland is a good hybrid option but their pedagogy seems to be quite loosely defined. For us, what’s important is: academic rigor to prepare for local school, adequate time to play, social interaction with a diverse set of students, critical thinking, and creativity. Given this, which would you choose? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

2019-06-25Hi, Wanna know if anyone experiences cases where the elders have strange advices on your food intake and how you handle them? For example, I was told NOT to eat the following foods/fruits that are recommended to have during pregnancy and to EAT the food where is it not recommended to have during pregnancy The DONTS by Elder - anything sour - kiwi - strawberries - yoghurt -bird nest - don’t drink too much water The DOs and OKAY by Elders - cold ham - papaya - LOTSSSS of durian (they say don’t be worried, I won’t get diabetes) - best to only eat apple and pear for fruits (really like only this two fruits for 9 months?!) Not saying I’m going to follow what the elder say, but I’m definitely will not be comfortable doing what I do usually with them around as I will be nagged and blamed for. How do you handle and manage all this “restrictions” given by the elders? Of cos one way to tackle this issue will be consulting the Gynae if the above foods are good to eat !

2019-06-25first of all. i wna say i know smoking is bad if I'm gonna breast feed baby etc. but ive tried quitting and i just cannot it considering my in laws are all heavy smokers. and ive a routine that if i smoke I'll wait 4hours later then I'll pump and feed that milk to baby. now the thing is, my supply dropped bc i did not pump regularly for about a week instead of pumping every 3/4hourly I was pumping at 6-7hourly hence supply drop. I'm drinking red dates in hopes to boost milk. and would like to know can i just pump and dump my milk ever 1hrly (considering i did smoke and it has not hit the 4hr mark yet) will it help to increase supply

2019-06-25This is my first pregnancy hence I think I am more paranoid: I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant about 1.5 weeks ago and went to the doctor to confirm my pregnancy. We could already see the baby’s heartbeat through vaginal ultrasound. I had morning sickness for about a week and it was so bad. I couldn’t keep anything down and felt terrible the whole day. Then, the morning sickness is gone SUDDENLY. I feel like my normal self again for almost half the week. My appetite is back and I don’t feel so lethargic anymore. Now I am a bit worried. Is it normal to feel okay so soon? Now I am about 7 weeks pregnant.

2019-06-25My edd is 21 Aug 2019 . Now is only June havent even July. I'm starting to feel cramp . And sometime the cramp is so pain till I need to stop moving and stop breathing till it's gone. Water bag never break . I think it's when baby is moving and choose to kick and push at wrong part but it's making me paranoid. I scared of pain but my tolerance in pain is also quite high . Dunno is this cramp normal to feel it now this early . But I've read online about knowing what shud I expect if I'm ready to get into labour . Some of it are happening to me . Like my back is aching also . I'm so paranoid. I never feel this kind of cramp or whatever my tummy is feeling In my first pregnancy before . Shud I be worried or is it just normal .
2019-06-25After a normal day out alone I walk abit here and there. I'm 30 weeks pregnant first time. When I went back home the sudden excruciating pain on my vagina & back suddenly occurs! I can barely even walk 2-3 steps to any part of the house, I can't sit, I can't lay down , it damn painful when I moved! Should I call my gynae asap?

2019-06-25I am 2 months pp now. Being a ftm is never easy. Hub not helping after work, not to mention weekends. He plays games most of the time during weekends. I am more lethargic with him around. Multiple talks and discussed this with him before. How can I make him realise that it is important for him to be part of this?

2019-06-28Hi, I started having ringworm rash on my tummy at week 16, found the grandpa's pine tar soap and has been using it with cold water shower, the ringworm rash stops completely after, and now at week 21, the mini hives started on my tummy! 2019-06-28Doc keep on telling me sugar level is high when im at my 29weeks and my sugar level after food is around 8-9.the numbers have been reducing every mth as per chart records. Ive not been putting weight since day 1 pregnant as i had a bad morning sickness. Weight from 83kg and now im weigh at 77kg. But baby is healthy n weigh at 1.2kg. Any advise?

2019-06-28Dear mummies, my 3 month old bottlefed baby girl is suddenly refusing to drink! The moment we sat her in the feeding position, or when she sees the bottle, she would start crying and tossing around refusing to drink! Need a lot of coaxing (singing n bouncing) or resort to dreamfeeding to make her drink! It’s tiring n stressful :( May I know if any mummies experience this before? 2019-06-29We're all acknowledged that babies born at 34, 35 and 36 weeksare considered late preterm births, and babies born at 37 to 39 weeks are considered early term births but NOT premature. I'm in my 36 weeks (first week of 9 months) now. I've been feeling like labour is near, and I had this thought of giving birth before it's due date, its playing in my head. Why do I say so? Because, my family member tend to gives birth 1-2 weeks early before their due date. Baby was healthy! NO induction, NO difficulty. So, I thought... Am I gonna go through that too? I'm a first time mom, you see. Curiosity hits me hard. I personally don't mind if I were to be in labour within 2-3 weeks from now. I've left with 4 weeks! As long as she's healthy, I'm happy. Any experienced mothers that gives birth 1-2 weeks earlier than their due date? Share your experiences.
2019-06-29Hi. My left boob is 1-2 cups smaller than my right. However it still produces milk. It does not get full/engorged as well unlike my right boob. Pls advise how to make it even. Tried letting LO latch more often on left boob but it still doesn't work.
