2019-06-10Hi mummies, I like to know if my current practice of handling my pump parts and milk bottles is correct. 1. After pumping, i will store the pump parts and bottles into fridge immediately (without rinsing) and continue using them for the next pump cycle. I will wash them with soap and UV sterilized them at the end of the day. This is the same for haakaa. Should I be washing the bottles every round or it’s ok to re-use them this way? 2. I will mix a pump of pigeon liquid cleanser to some tap water and rinse/ brush my pump parts and milk bottles. Is this sufficient? If not, how do u wash them?
2019-06-10I am already 13 weeks plus. Ever since I enter ed 2nd trimester, headaches have become a daily thing. Is it normal? My gynae said its okay to consume the normal panadol but I'm trying my best not to take it on a daily basis. Headache is my worst enemy!

2019-06-10My ex hus hasn't seen the child almost 2 years. He left me and my child when she was only 1 years old and few months. My ex hus text me saying that he wants to meet my child. I don't know how my child going to react and I don't know what to do. I am so afraid, coz he was abusive towards me. My ex left us because he has a mistress, and all of a sudden he wants to meet my child as he only given twice a month visitation for 2hr only to see the child. (Supervised) Hmmm
2019-06-10How will you know if your ex husband still loves you?? Why I always think about him, things are making me so emotional everytime. Why I can't be happy to tell myself to move on. My heart is very heavy. I do talk to my family and my child that always reminds me to be strong, but I still can't. Anyone has similar exp with me. What do you do to over come and handle it.
2019-06-10Hi mummies, need some advice on my flange size. I have tried 24, 21 and 19mm but it all seem not suitable as my areola seem to get pull in still. At 19mm, my nipples are already rubbing the size (means too small) but the areola is still getting pull in and it feel sore and red. I think this is affecting how much output I have whenever I pumped. Anybody have similar issues, any advice?
2019-06-10Hello, I like to know how you mummies incorporate tummy time into your LO scheduled currently my LO is 5 weeks old and he has been really sleepy after feed, hence I couldn’t find a chance to have tummy time with him. Even if at times he is alert after feed, I understand that we need to wait a while before we can do tummy time. Hence by then he would want to sleep and is cranky. How do u all incorporate tummy time, how long is each session for a newborn? How long do u all wait for feed?

2019-06-11Hi all.. my son is now 1.5 months. Sometimes during feeding he wont finish the milk when he's too sleepy, he will only drink about 60-80ml. Usually he drinks 100-120ml. I will keep trying to wake him up but he will just push the bottle away. Is it normal for this age?

2019-06-11Hi everyone I need some advice here. My lo is currently 4 years old and is attending childcare. I have just become SAHM recently. I would like to withdraw my lo and place her in few hours classes kind of program. I did enquire for half day in her current cc but the price is so expensive. Is there any lesson or enrichment classes that i can enroll? Next year my lo will be in moe kindergarten, so sooner or later will have to withdraw from her current cc. I would like to withdraw soon as i dont think its practical for her to attend cc anymore. But i would love for a few hours of teaching or mixing with other kids. Ur input is greatly appreciated!

2019-06-12Hi mummies, does this look like it is the wrong flange size? At first i thought it was too big so i got a 24mm flange, after using it for 2 weeks, i find myself having sore nipples as the side of them are rubbing against the flange. This is 28mm flange and the base is feeling a little bit sore (but not the nipple). Should i get one size up? After pumping my nipple is about 22mm to 24mm..

2019-06-12Anyone have problem in where to stay for confinement? My parents house only have 2 bedrooms, one for them and I used to stay in the other room. I can use the room for confinement, but I feel it is too small to house 2 adults and 1 baby. And with my father smoking and working shifts, I don't feel very appropriate, as well as I do not wish to bother them with a new born crying at night. In laws house is definitely no as there are no rooms available at all. Hdb rental flat is an option and we are waiting for results. Renting from open market seems an expensive option. Husband say my parents place seems good as I'll be more comfortable, my only concern is that the room is too small.

2019-06-12my supply dropped drastically due to not pumping regularly.. I try to pump every 3h to only get 60-80ml, btw I dont latch on as i can't get lo to latch properly so I'm exclusively pumping only. the only time I can get 150-220ml is pumping after 7hours> my MIL suggest i eat more fish to boost supply. would like to know are there any more food/soup to boost supply

2019-06-13Hi, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes (currently just above the limit) and currently on monitoring glucose level after each meals. After 2 consultations, my doctor already prescribed me insulin shots without detailed nutrition control advice. (what and how much to each, when to eat, exercise..etc) Is it normal in Singapore?? (that they do not conduct nutrition advice by licensed dietitians and prescribe medicines instead) I am trying to control what to eat by myself without advice but I find it hard. And I would like to avoid taking insulin as much as possible.

2019-06-13Hi fellow mummies! My baby is 2 months and 17 days old. Recently, her nap time is getting shorter and shorter. She tends to sleep only for 15-30 minutes. When she wakes up, within a few minutes, she starts to cry. She was well fed, diapers changed and stomach is not bloated (so it is not possible that it is due to colic). This sleep cycle repeats. Eat, short nap, wakes up and cry, eat... (cycle repeats). Is this normal? What could be the reason for her grumpiness and short naps? What should I do?
2019-06-13Ladies who is in 3rd trimester survive without your hubs for two weeks straight how do you do that? Since the day I met my hubs during our bf/gf moments till now we have never been separated for a week or two usually only 2 days max. I'm soo nervous and anxious I don't know what I am going to do without my hubs?

2019-06-14What do you do if your infant hiccups? Do you just let them be? My MIL insists that I dab water on my LO’s lips to help alleviate the hiccup. 2019-06-14I am trying to build up my milk supply and I understand that I should be pumping after latching. Currently my LO need a feed every 1.5 hour if i breastfeed him. I have tried pumping after that but I realized he would refuse latching during the next feed as there are not enough milk stored in the breast for him. He is on 90ml currently when bottle feed (which only last for 2 hours) but I can only pump out an average of 40-60ml each time. How should I do this to increase supply while continue latching him?

My little one is two week old today. I'm very worries he will have colic. I wanna prevent it if possible. So mummies and daddies please advice me. Don't wanna him to suffer thou. Plus I think I can't manage the phrase of colic whereby baby keep crying non stop. I will gone haywire. Sigh.

2019-06-15Gynae gave me multi vitamin pills, calcium tablets and fish oil as daily pregnancy supplements to take. But it’s really hard to swallow so many big pills every day, is it really a must to take the 2 calcium tablets everyday and other vitamin pills ? Or is it possible to replace it with other food options or possibly there are smaller size of tablets ? I am a really bad at swallowing tablets and pills type of person >
