2019-06-04Hi ladies, I would like to get some help/advice on how I can help adjust my baby’s sleep time. My baby is 5.5months now. From about 1 month ago, she has been adjusting her bedtime later and later until now she is sleeping only from 12noon. Once she is down from 12noon, she will sleep a good 10-12hrs and wake up at 10pm-12midnight. She is basically sleeping her whole day away. I am a SAHM mom and we do not have any change in schedule to warrant this adjustment. It breaks my heart to see my baby missing out on so much activities during the day time and is only seeing the world in dark. We can’t even go out since by the time she wakes and we get her ready to go out, it’s 12 midnight or later. We tried waking her earlier at 5pm in hope that she will get tired and start sleeping earlier. When she fell asleep at 1am, we thought we had a chance. But nope. She took the 1am sleep as a nap, woke up from the nap at 3am and continue to be active till 12noon for her ‘bedtime’. She is a very active baby and has been sleeping only 10-12hrs everyday since she was 2months old. Nothing we do can get her to nap. Wake windows, white noise, dark room, swaddle etc... nothing works. Her PD confirmed that she is growing well and we have nothing to worry about. Her PD commented that some babies just don’t need as much sleep and she is probably one of them. If she needs the sleep and not getting it for so many months, she would have already breakdown or show signs of distress. Since she does not nap during the ‘day’, there is nothing much we can do to adjust her schedule and help her sleep the right hours. Any ladies have been through this and have any advice to help?

Enrichment classes are expensive in Singapore and I was wondering if any mummies will be interested to host playgroups instead where children can learn different skills - music, sports, arts, dance, drama etc that can contribute to motor skills, physical or cognitive development. A mummy can be the one conducting the playgroup at her own house, or at any other mummy house where space is appropriate. Mummy can charge a bit of money to earn pocket money. Do let me know what you think!

2019-06-04Anyone heard of Qi Ren? Think they are tied to AIA that offers free plans for mummy to be which extends to free first 6 months coverage for baby after he/she is born. Then thereafter we can extend the plan with them? They offer facilities for clients to use that has free classes and talks for both kids and parents kind. Can rent their function rooms to hold your baby first month or birthday parties and they even help u setup decor as per the themes they have. All for free. We recently “signed up” for the free plan. But just wana hear from mummies who have continued the plans with them and got other plans and used their facilities. How is it? Free classes for kids good? Btw their branches to use the facilities are currently in Tampines and Jurong east. Opening one soon in woodlands I think. Jurong east one bigger cos got huge indoor playground for kids to play etc.

2019-06-04Hello mummies. My lo is currently 3 weeks old. Recently she has this moment where she would wake up for milk and then after feeding doesn't go back to sleep. And she will keep showing signs of hunger (sticking tongue out multiple times & eating her hand) after feeding, i tot she's still hungry so feed her again however after she drink she will spit out the milk and continue showing signs of hunger and all repeat. Hunger > feed > spit milk > repeat What should I do? Just pat her to sleep if it's not really hunger? Few days ago on sunday she had a moment of what I thought was growth spurt or cluster feed where between 9am to 7pm I feed her almost every 45mins to 1hr apart. However during those moment where she constantly cry for milk (show signs of hunger) after feeding she will vomit milk. And over the span of probably 5hrs she projectile vomit 5 times. She vomited alot literally probably 50-70ml of milk all flew out. And the milk are not fresh which she just drank, but digested. Is there anything we are doing wrong? I always tried to feed her with her head higher up so she can digest properly instead of lying down and we always burp her after every feed and hold her there for extra 5-10mins more before putting her down. Tia for ur advices.

2019-06-05My wife and i had been married for 3 years and was trying to conceive as long as 3 years. We did not see a doc at the time as we felt nothing is wrong with us until when all the close friends around us are having kids. We decided to seek medical advise. To our disappointment, my sperm mobility was almost zero and my wife has irregular period and not so strong eggs. The chances are low and we been suggested to go for IVF and something that i forget. It will be costly and painful. It was a desvesating blow to my wife. My mother in law, a mongolian knew about our matter and brought us traditional mongolia herbs by their physician and told us to try for 9mths before going for ivf or adoption(my wife desperate idea). Never did we knew, just after less than 2mths after taking the medical herbs my wife is pregnant and now i am a proud father of a baby boy. So parent wannabe ... Dun give up hope !!! 2019-06-07Hi Mummies, during the 1st month after I gave birth I have been supplementing baby with formula in addition to breast milk due to insufficient supply. Since 3 months ago, I started to fully breastfeed. My question is, the formula which has been opened since mid Feb, is it still safe for baby to consume as the guide is to consume within a month?
