2019-05-06How to wean off bm? My son is 16 months old, he direct latch ever since he was a baby. When he was younger, he still uses the bottles and etc, but not anymore. When he doesnt see me, he doesnt eat or drink anything, on good days he only will eat solids. But his solids intake aint good either. I've tried supplementing with formula : Isomil & Dumex Soy, but he rejected all of them, not even my frozen stash of bm. (He is allergic to cow's milk, so not an option). Any mummy can advise me? 2019-05-06Hi i'm currently 6 mnths pregnant. Been going through an emotional roller coaster ride during my pregnancy journey & I'm always taking leave or mc to rest my mind at home, my husband's always there for me when I need him. I don't have friends who is pregnant currently so I don't talk to them about this because I don't want them to feel awkward. The problem is that, my other pregnant colleagues are just doing fine, no problems apart from the morning nausea & those typical pregnant symptoms. I feel stupid & weak to have to go through this while they seem so strong. I don't talk to them about this issue because they sound judgemental & I don't need such negativity in my life. I understand every pregnancy is different but I would expect mine to have bad nausea or extreme weight gain but mine just hormones raging about. Well, makes me feel shitty everyday. Is what I'm going through considered normal or am I just being a weak ass?

2019-05-06i have 2 siblings who is autistic. My 31 years old has severe eczema on his leg and hand that skin peels off and bleeding. My younger sister 28 years old has swollen lip that skin peels off , bleeding and puss coming out. This is what i going to say, i reach clinic at 8.42pm. Reg counter do all the resgistration just asked to sit down. At 8.59pm, staff told me doctor cannot see because too many patients and doctor is tired. I just shared my concerns about my two siblings, i did infm the staff, i am going to write in. This is unacceptable excuses to say you are tired. Doctor came out, saying to me that i can write in, i dont want to see the because i have too many. I even asked, staff can let me know earlier so i dont hv to wait, i just go some where else. imaging bring my 2 sibling who is mentally challenges, and my 3 year child cannot keep still. I am tired, frustrated that as why such things happen like that. Doctor is jus unreasonable. The same doctor, my daughter has a high fever last year, clinic was still running with no patients, 8.36pm can hav the balls to tell me that i can see your child because its my birthday, i need to rush home. WTF seriously, i ask my SIL, i shared my concerns and frustration. i told her i want to write in Moh. She say you can feedback abt the staff and system. Not the part that dr is tired. Because its his own Private GP. He has every right. what every right, you should treat pt liks that seriously, i am really fuming seriously. what should i do.

2019-05-06Hi, any mums experiencing the same? I direct latch morning & evening, pump at work. Since a month now my son is on solid so i have reduced my pumping. Its been almost a week I no longer feel the need to express as my boobs just stay soft and supple the whole day. The last 2 days i didn’t even pump and i felt ok. I quite enjoy this feeling of not being slaved by full boobs, but also worried that i may drop the supply and can’t really get it back up again. At the moment my freezer is still full with milk that can last a month. I have not actually decided when to stop breastfeeding. If i continue to just latch morning & night, do you think i can maintain that in the next 5mos? Or will i dry up soon?
2019-05-06Hi im 15 weeks pregnant. Last check up im at 14 weeks doc say they cant hear my baby heartbeat..My heart sank hearing this & doc say baby might had already gone?. So doc told me to wait for 1more week to scan again and probably i will start to have miscarriage symstom but the problem is till now there is no bleeding or cramp..So i wonder if my baby still alive & am i still pregnant..Anyone encounter this before?

I realized not many items state we can UV Sterilizer and the retail assistants at the shops are no help at all!

2019-05-06Hi i am currently 10 weeks pregnant and it is the fasting month now. Is it okay to fast? Earlier today I tried fasting and vomited after a few hours with severe pain in my tummy. I had a bad headache the whole day and felt better once I consumed some porridge. What are some experiences you mummies had while fasting during pregnancy? I read somewhere that its not recommended to fast during early pregnancy like mine.

2019-05-07Hi mummies Am i the only one who has problems with my MIL? I'm not sure if it's because I'm very young therefore she thinks I'm incapable of taking care of my lo myself. But I'm having my confinement at my own home and my parents r both working but I'm doing fine handling my lo. My mil likes to tell me how i should care for my lo and what I should do when i don't need such advices bc I'm rly doing fine! Currently I'm alternating between my parents home n my in law in months so it's fair to both sides in terms of spending time with my lo and I'm honestly more comfortable at my own home as noone is here to micromanage me.. but my mil isnt happy about that, she is constantly arguing with my husband that i should be living with them instead as the baby is their family surname.. and my mil doesn't respect me when i tell her to not wake my baby up when my lo is sleeping she always carries her n wake her up on purpose and keeps insisting on giving my daughter pacifier when i do not encourage unless really necessary. Problems about my in law house that makes me uncomfortable also is because they always smoke in their home and definitely 2nd and 3rd hand smoke is NOT good for my lo but mil doesnt respect that! she still smokes in the house and in her room!!!!! mil also isnt happy that my husband n i r planning to rent a 2room from hdb bc she wants us to stay with her. What should i do?? i get very depressed whenever I'm at my in law house bc of the things my mil does. and I'm not able to voice up to her.

2019-05-08very envious seeing mothers who breastfeed well and have plenty of milk supply. I've done whatever I can to increase my milk supply (from eating right and taking fenugreek tablets, latching, pumping) but each time I pump, it's not even enough for one feed. so frustrating. it's been going on for 3 weeks since I delivered on 17 April. I gave up and end up feeding her formula. sigh!

But recently is getting harder, she is sleepy but doesn’t let us hold to sleep or anything else... has to use stroller to bring her down walk around then she can fall asleep right away.. (bad habit)

Sunday morning we go horse riding, visit the library for story telling session and to pick up new stack of books, maybe to the museum and then lunch followed by family dinner with extended family.

2019-05-11My formula milk instructions stated 120ml water to 4 scoops of formula - if I measure the water to exactly 120ml before adding the formula powder, I will end up with about 140ml after preparing - is this correct? Most people I know prepare 4 scoops of formula topped with water to 120ml so the entire mixture is still 120ml, to do that it means the water used is less than 120ml. Which way is correct??

2019-05-11my wife shunned me, wanted to move away. it's because I hurt emotionally with hurtful and cynical words . emotional abuse. i did not watch her heart. this is the fifth year of marriage. both re-married with kids of former. we just start to see counselling. and i know it is not an immediate remedy. i realised my errors and trying to correct. she saw the changes. she said it's now her problem. she cannot forget my abuse to her. how can i speed up her recovery? i am also suffering and depressed becos of her rejection. before this we are very loving. seek yr advice. thank you
