- 2019-04-08Anyone selling/ blessing any electric breast pump for pregnant mummies ?
- 2019-04-08First pregnancy.
Had my checkup today. Gynae checked cervix and I was told that I'm 2cm dilated. Sounds like anytime now though I'm due on 21st. Been feeling some tightening and cramps every now and then. There's also pressure on my lower stomach. So anxious and nervous! ?
- 2019-04-08As a SAHM of 3 kids, I have the privilege to watch my kids grow up, witness their milestones as well as fun play and learn with them. And now with a baby around, our play time is always at home! Just like other kids, my kids get bored easily at home and as their mum, it’s important to keep them entertained through games, toys, activities and plays at home. Gameplay should also be fun learning and a few gameplay ideas I’d like to share:
1. Colouring, I love reusable & easy to wipe silicone colouring mats. It helps to calm my kids down for a while & improves creativity.
2. Play dough, Blocks, LEGO, Puzzle , Building bricks/sticks, Board games, Kinetic sand, etc. These games are excellent for their motor skills, creativity and brains development.
3. Imaginative play toys such as kitchen set, complete with food/fruits/drinks toys for kids to role play as Chef, waiter, customer etc. Imaginative play is not just limited to toys, but it’s also dressing up as a character kids want to be. For example, my 6 year old son loves to dress up as a fireman, complete with helmet & toy equipment, it helps with his speech development. Imaginative play toys are not necessarily to be expensive, it can also be easily DIY at home such as using cardboard boxes to build a fire engine car (kids can help with the decorations) or a farm house for farm animals (kids pretend to be farmers) imaginative plays are unlimited and always fun when parents join the kids together & role play as a family. It promotes bonding too.
4. Home Playground. It’s important to keep kids active no matter they are at home or outside. Benefits of being active are stronger muscles & bones and better sleep. And also physically active kids are more likely to be motivated, focused and confident. Would love to share about Friso’s ongoing promo (1 March to 30 April 2019). Free Playground Set^ with every purchase of Friso worth $380* and fellow mommies & daddies can visit this website for more details: https://www.friso.com.sg/thebestplayground Redeem all now (Play Tent + Play Balls + Play Mat + Play Slide) to keep your kids active through fun & enjoyable home playground specially presented by FRISO

- 2019-04-08I’m so upset whenever it comes to feeding. My LO does not hv tongue tied. She’s feeding well for most feeds in the later part of the morning to early afternoon. It frustrates me whenever her feeds are after her STTN. She just refuse to drink. It’s so worrying because she’s only 3 months old and can go up to 10hrs without milk. Usually by the ninth hour she will drink. I try to feed her at the seven hour mark but she just spits all out. Help me please!!

- 2019-04-09both my kids are at the age of imaginative play. elder one sometimes taking meal orders and preparing our meals, at times doing marketing, or dressing herself into Little Red Riding hood with her blanket, while the younger one is always taking care of her "baby" feeding and changing her diaper. Imaginative play allows us parents to discover what the topics/items that the kids are interested in and foster creativity in the kids! Happy to share that Friso is having a promotion till 30 April 2019 for a Free Playground Set^ with every purchase of Friso worth $380* (see link for more details: http://bit.ly/2Khbobh). Kids will love the Playground Set for more imaginative play!

Babies and kids could probably use anything and everything as an entertainment! By using imaginative play, such as acting out a certain role and etc., they then to become more creative, have better performance in academics and develop a better problem-solving solutions!

- 2019-04-09I was told by my sis-in-law that i should stop feeding my LO breastmilk after he turns 6mth. She has 3 kids of her own; the oldest being 3.5yo. And because of this, my parents think she’s right and advised me to stop at 6mth also.
What i read online was i could give my LO for as long as i could. Is the benefits really not there after 6mths?
And i have plenty of frozen milk in my mini freezer, threw lots of bags to make way for new bags. It seems like i had been saving for nothing?

- 2019-04-11I tried to conceive two times, in January and in March, and both resulted in biochemical pregnancy.
my period was due on the 21st March and on 23rd of March I did a home urine test and had positive pregnancy result. Two days later I scheduled a visit to my gynea and did a vaginal scan but couldn't spot any gestation and also did a clinic urine test that showed negative. my gynea told me that i could be having biochemical pregnancy again and that I just need to wait for my bleeding to come naturally.
the gynea told me that it could be stress, hormone inbalance (but my menses is always regular), unhealthy sperm/eggs.. when ask what I should do if I want to try again, he just prescribed me folic acid supplement.
I'm just so confused, upset and disappointed, and I don't know what went wrong and what to do. I feel like I shouldn't give up but I'm afraid of getting disappointed and heartbroken again. anyone of you experienced this before? please share with me your experience and how you overcome this!

This makes me feel really quite uneasy & guilty.
Pls share your opinions and or suggestions if It is bad of me to do this? Thanks much!

- 2019-04-12Hi. Just want to ask if any of you taken those NIPT tests before during your first tri around 10w?
Which one did you take?
My gynae suggested me to take the NICE test. Initially after hearing from other friends, they took either Oscar or Harmony tests. And I was thinking I want to take the harmony test too. But when I asked my doc, he said harmony tests not as accurate. He said NICE is more accurate and all, and can test for digeorge or something too.
Anyone any idea?
Also, how long did the clinic get back to you? It’s been 1+ weeks for me. Thx

Do i wait for the appt or just do blood test first?

- 2019-04-13Just went for detailed scan 2 days back and doctors discovered that baby had a small cerebellum that is slightly below the 5th centile! Everything is growing well but this isolated anomaly and doctors could not identify the reasons and advice to go for further checks like amniocentesis which we are totally not keen. Would like to ask if any parents have this and baby turned out healthy and well? Discussed with the husband and we believe in our baby girl that she will catch up eventually but cant help thinking about it sometimes! Need some assurances plse
