- 2018-10-29Hi all, I need suggestions as I have tried to search on how to get a breastfed Baby to take the bottle. Sometimes she will drink from the bottle but most of the time she doesn’t want to. She will not take the pacifier as well. I’ve bought different bottle for her to try (NUK, Avent, Dr Brown,Pigeon) . But so far only Pigeon wide neck bottle was a success previously. I have tried to change the Nipple to a slow drip but she does not buy it.
I will be going back to work in another 2 months. Help!!!

- 2018-10-30Organised by the National Arts Council (NAC), Arts In Your Neighbourhood (AYN) returns with close to 70 specially curated activities over three weekends from 8 to 25 November 2018.
The arts will be brought to 18 locations island-wide, including residents and working professionals in Woodlands, Admiralty, Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Pasir Panjang, Tampines, Toa Payoh and Yishun.
Interactive arts experiences across music, dance, theatre and visual arts will bring different communities together to enjoy and be inspired by the arts. The diverse line-up of programmes and activities is suitable for visitors of all ages.
Close to half of all activities are held in Woodlands, this season’s focus town. The site-specific programmes will draw inspiration from the history and memories of Woodlands, including commissions such as Jumbo Fabrica as well as public art works.
Four special commissions are among the key highlights of AYN this November :
1. The Rubbish Prince – A roving theatrical puppetry performance directed by Danny Yeo and Ong Kian Sin and produced by 3Pumpkins, featuring larger-than-life puppets made from recyclables.
2. Jumbo Fabrica – Sweet Tooth leads audiences to a walking trail of three stops, featuring pop-up performances and a hands-on furniture upcycling session to re-discover Woodlands, inspired by how multi-generational families reside in unique jumbo flats found in Woodlands.
3. Placing Home: Woodlands – Commissioned by the Public Art Trust, an initiative of the NAC, five public art works curated by Dr Wang Ruobing will be presented by local and regional artists. They include Chiew Sien Kuan (Singapore), Eko Prawoto (Indonesia), Kayleigh Goh (Malaysia), Michael Lee (Singapore) and Nhawfal Juma’at (Singapore). The works explore the idea of home and movement within Woodlands, a pivotal town connecting Singapore to Johor Bahru, and invite audiences to look at our surroundings with fresh eyes and ask questions about the world we live in.
4. 酸甜苦辣 - The Four Flavours of Life - A series of four exciting musical works by The TENG Ensemble inspired by a common Chinese saying that describes the multifaceted intricacies of life. It draws reference from themes of longing, happiness, strife and peace, performed in collaboration with Chinese martial arts.
In addition to the list of fun and family-friendly activities by local artists is Musical Notes, a whimsical music and dance roving performance by French arts group Compagnie des Quidams. Three quirky black and white characters on stilts will lead audiences in their musical fantasies as they dance along to different melodies broadcasted.
Other exciting programmes include unforgettable melodies from Studio Ghibli films by Orchestra Collective, ancient Malay folklore that will come to life in Awang Batil by Teater KAMi and game-like interactive music performance When We Get Together by Open Score Project.
Admission is FREE for all activities. Visit http://artsforall.sg/AYN for more information onArts in Your Neighbourhood.
