2018-10-16Hi all, my baby boy is 19 days old. He need to be feed around every 3 hours. He drink breast milk and most of time top up with formula milk. Total amount ranging from 90ml to 150ml everytime depending on how hungry and if he keep crying. It got me and my wife worried that sometimes he drink a lot and vomit milk. We tried to burp him but not successfully always.

2018-10-17Mummies, do you follow the 3 minute rule with your kids? I just read about it now. It seems our children will start trusting us more and feel more secure with us if we follow this 3 minute rule. It's very simple. Make sure to spend those special and crucial 3 minutes exclusively with your child every day when you come back home from work/outside and after you pick him from school/childcare. Hug and talk to them and remember to be at the same eye level as your child. I'm going to start doing this from today. What do you all feel about this rule?

Professor Thomas Dee who co-authored the study with Hans Henrik Sievertsen of the Danish National Centre for Social Research, has said, "We found that delaying kindergarten for one year reduced inattention and hyperactivity by 73% for an average child at age 11." Countries like Finland and Germany follow this system, and actually seem to be doing well. What do you feel mums, is it better for our children to start kindergarten a little later?

2018-10-19Parents, please take note. A woman was robbed and beaten up outside her HDB flat in Punggol on 18 Oct 2018. The incident happened at Waterway Cascadia, Block 315A Punggol Way, at around 2 pm. The suspect was arrested within 3 hours. The woman suffered bruises to her face, and photos show her in a wheelchair. There is a bandage on the left side of her head too. Blood was seen on her jeans and on the floor. Police has advised the public to be alert and watchful. Avoid wearing too much jewellery or carrying a lot of money. Police has also advised to, "Carry a shrill alarm with you and use it to scare off the culprit or to attract the attention of other members of the public." Do take care, mums and dads.
2018-10-19A new before-and-after school care centre for special needs children is set to open in Jan 2019, within MINDS Woodlands Gardens School. The centre will be a big help for caregivers, especially working parents. Teachers will coach the children with homework and assist them with their daily tasks. 2018-10-19Hi All, recent research say is good to cuddle baby when they cry and this is the best time to build the close bond with them. Baby will turn to distress if we let them cry till tired and this affect their development. On the other hand, many has rebuked this theory and say baby will have more dependency and they will always know we will carry them always when they cry in the end we will suffer. Any opinion on this ever debating myth? I feel dilemma and my own stand is I don carry but my mother in law differ and will carry once baby cry. Thanks!

2018-10-20I'm sahm and raise my daughter alone (my parents live oversea). Mil will come by once or twice a week to visit. On the weekend I want it to be our family time but she always want to go to where ever we go. I didn't really like that because she will do thing I don't like. If I tell her , dont let my daughter watch tv (1.5 years old), she will say never mind la. If I tell her, dont give her snack because its soon time for lunch, she will secretly give and my daughter is difficult eater. So now problem is husband and I had very big arguement about her tagging along with us. We visit his parents every weekend for a meal. But that seem not enough. Today we had a big fight over this issue and he said "I should ask you if you like my mother first before we marry!". It broke my heart hearing that. What should I do?
