2017-01-30During tiz CNY, I did learn a lesson. Always fix ur eyes on ur LO when someone is carrying him. I had heart attacks twice today.. 1. MIL wanna carry LO, so of cos we cant say no, so she carried to e coffeeshop as we need our breakfast. She sat down wif baby. As 7mth old baby is very active, he kept moving about. MIL is too focused on playing wif baby tat baby almost knock over her cup of coffee.. My heart skipped a beat at tat moment. Of cos i scared tat if coffee is overturned, it will scald him! 2. MIL wanna carry again. We reached a relative's hse. She wanna put him lying on e bed which is against e wall. She juz put him down like tat without looking at his head and he almost bump into e wall! Please be vigilant and always watch out for e safety of ur child no matter who carries ur LO!

2017-01-30Dear mummies, i'm curious, in general, how would u react to such scenarios. When u change baby's diaper at someone's hse, someone (elderly) tells u to wipe tat area and wipe tiz area. Tells u muz put lotion. Tells u tiz n tat like as if u did not change a diaper before. How would u feel? When u say u can change his diaper on e floor (put him lying down) and elderly say dun put on e floor! Put on e bed! He has pooped. I didnt wanna dirty anyone's bedding. If no poop, of cos i will wanna put him on e bed as it is easier?! I said it is really ok for LO as i do tat often! But elderly not happy.. Infantcare teachers do a bad job in taking care of LO. If u encountered ur baby's lower legs r left wet after washing of buttock, when u go n fetch him, how would u feel? Well, i encountered all these and hubby wans me to chill. Hmm.. Am I being too fussy or protective or wad? Really wonder how would u mummies feel? Can u still be chill?

2017-01-31Hello mummies, how do you slowly cut your pumping? I used to be pumping 5 hourly, and now, 8 hourly, but my 8 hourly pump can barely reach 150ml. Previously I can pump 200ml 5 hourly. Does that mean my supply is coming to an end soon? Do I drag my pump even longer now?

2017-01-31Here's a scenario: one-year-old is transitioning from 2 naps a day to 1 gradually, but because of that, his nap time is kind of awkward and inconvenient for others as it's usually 12-2pm during adults' lunch time. I'm a fully DL mum and sometimes if LO stirs awake within 1hr of his nap I'll enter and latch some more so that he naps enough. My family did a reunion lunch and as it was about to begin, LO stir awake and I immediately rushed to latch him because everyone would prefer a well-rested bub, anytime, right? I got stuck nursing, and missed the bulk of the reunion lunch. My parents got really upset with me and said I should have let LO wake up. And because of that they would just treat my hubby and I as transparent because they were upset. I really don't think this is worth destroying a festivity for. Right? This was also my first CNY being a mother, maybe there could have been some leeway?

2017-02-01My Son is 11 months old and diagnosed with thalaesemia minor. Anyone has experience? He was fully breastfeed for 6 months and currently mixed with fm and 2 times solid. Doctor said could be inherited and he is my 3rd child. 2 of my elder kids do not have this problems. My Husband and I never test. He is on iron drop and multivitamin. Diagnosed by KKH. He was supposed to test for Lung infection during 9 months old but tested for anemia (thalaesemia) doctor said will do a through check when he is 1 year old plus for accuracy. What do you do to help the child? I am trying hard to feed him with more green vege but he refused

2017-02-01Hi My child is 32mths toilet train. Today,i randomly asked her did she wash herself with water and she told me with tissue paper i was abit shocked as i have always rinse her w water.i went to ask her ateachers earlier on and they told me she clean w tissue paper as teacher have other student to attend to. If child didnt clean properly,it can lead to urine tract infection & teacher told me they only wash at 12pm shower and after nap.so if after nap she pee they wont wash till we get home at 7pm. Past few days theres strong smell from her area that makes me ask if she using water to clean or not. I have alrdy asked the teacher to rinse her w water or teach her how to use the spray water. Am i doing the right thing
2017-02-01Hi Mummies, my 7+ month old daughter recently cries whenever she is passing motion. I can see that she is putting in alot of strength to push it out and most likely is experiencing stomach pain while doing so. She started solids since she turned 6 months. But only experiencing difficulty recently. Any way to help her poo with more ease? Feeding her oats and pumpkin puree now. Also breastfeeding.
2017-02-01My 6 months old has been getting skinnier and skinnier. He was born at 97 percentile, and is currently at 25... each checkup he drops by a percentile range. He only gained 100g in the last one month. Anyone knows what I can do to help him increase his weight? He is currently mixed feed- 4xBM, 1xFM. And is eating 1x purée food in the evening.

2017-02-02Need a listening ear .. I've currently on at least 1 year no pay leave to be SAHM to take care of my two kids (age 7 and 16 months old).. especially for my 16 months old cos previously when I was still working , I sent him to infant care but he kept falling sick .. though I know it is normal that they will fall sick initially but he got bronchitis 3-4x.. thus, the decision to take care of my kids by myself cos I have no other help ..no parents or in-law's help available .. couldn't find a suitable babysitter .. my job is quite a high paying one , thus initially my hubby was unwilling for me to take 1 year no pay leave but seeing our baby down with bronchitis so many times within the short span of 6 months , we decided that perhaps this is the best choice for now .. I realised that being a SAHM is tough but satisfying .. there are challenging days but seeing my kids achieving their milestones is something that money can't buy. I also realised that becos I'm a SAHM now , my hubby becomes less Hands-on.. maybe he thinks that I'm not working so leave everything to me especially when it comes to handling the kids .. I still think he should bond with the kids but now is like he completely push everything to me :( he always say you are not earning now , full time housewife , so gotta do more . I'm okie to do more but at least he should spend time playing with kids too, right ? And whenever I wanna go grocery shopping or buy something for the kids, he will keep reminding me that I'm not earning now, don't anyhow spend .. I didn't anyhow spend .. i jus buy what is necessary like grocery and kid's necessities .. every time I need to spend money to buy what is needed, I'll feel so stressed .. and the way he says it makes me feel bad that I'm not working .. any SAHM here who is in similar situation as me ? Give up high paying job for at least a year to take care of family and kids full time?

2017-02-03Am I too sensitive or over-reacting? I have to feed my 10mo lunch/dinner during CNY at in-laws' place or relatives' homes. I really wish to feed her quickly, properly and safely. Am so peeved with my sis-in-law using a cold canned drink to tempt/tease my lo and distracting her during meal time all the time.Knowing that lo is mimicking sounds we make, sil clucks her tongue for lo to copy her. but hey, can she not wait til she finishes her meal? I'm currently giving him karihome goat milk (FM).. he is drinking well and eat solid well .. and putting on good weight according to last PD visit .. can I continue to give him karihome goat milk or need to switch to fresh milk? My PD told me to give fresh milk only after two years old if I want, Or just continue with formula milk. But since he is gaining good weight , I thought i can jus continue with karihome goat milk?

2017-02-04I have a question regarding HDB housing grants. I'm a Singaporean and my hubby is a foreigner on Long term visit pass. He is working while I'm taking care of our lo full time. We applied for a BTO and got it. Problem is we are not sure if we are able to get the housing grant as I'm not working and no CPF. We submitted his payslips to give it a try to see if we are eligible. But since he is still a foreigner so we are not sure if we can get it. 2017-02-04My 13.5mo gal is still waking up twice a night to drink!! Anyone facing same situation? She used to drop off to once a night but this past week she has been waking up twice a day.. so many babies have slept through the bight but mine is still waking up like a newborn to drink :( I do give her dinner and a little snack and milk before bedtime.. When she wakes up at night she can finish a bottle of 135ml! I thought maybe she is just thirsty but it seems like she is hungry or is she just drinking out of habit? What should I do?
