2017-03-27Parents, would like to hear your views on this. How do you teach your kids to deal with other aggressive toddlers? My 17mo had 2 such encounters over the weekend. At this age, he won't know fully understand but I want to explain that it's not ok for other kids to push him (especially if it was from deliberate aggression) but at the same time tell him he shouldn't retaliate by doing like wise. He hasn't done the latter btw, he just cries and he's gentle by nature, wouldn't hurt a fly.

2017-03-28My 17 months old has been eating porridge and other soft food.. my fault .. first Time Mom and Doesn't really know how to progress him to chewing more chunky food. Each time I try to feed more chunky food, he will gag. Worst scenario is he will gag n vomit . Really at loss of what to do. These few days I'm trying to feed rice and soup . Hope still in time to train him. Very stressful
2017-03-28Babies get sick easily. This is a fact. My baby had viral fever but fever has stopped since weekends. Flu n cough is still there. These 2 symptoms need time to recover. Went for doctor review ytd n doc allowed me to put baby back in ifc. Brought baby back to ifc today. They asked if he has recovered. I said fever no more already but flu n cough still hv and doc said ok for me to bring him back. Of cos flu n cough can spread to other kids but parents still need to work. If sick den we cannot put in ifc, den we apply for ifc for wad! If serious illness i understand but common flu n cough is always there for all babies! It is not like we hack care of other infant's health? I even called e ifc to inform abt my boy's sickness last week and we didnt send him in until his fever has fully recovered. If oni i hv a choice to stop working?! Even if parents bring their child for playdates, they may get all these sickness or hfmd from them. It is not possible to totally prevent such things to happen!

My 8mths lo schedule: 7am --> FM (150ml) 11am --> BM (150ml) --> Fruit Puree (100ml) 3pm --> Either Friso Rice Milk Cereal (150ml) Or Friso Wheat Milk Cereal (150ml) --> Veggie Puree (100ml) 8pm --> BM (150ml) --> Half Teething Biscult (4g) 11pm --> BM (150ml) * timing might vary depending on lo. (+/-1hr) * sometimes sttn * sometimes at night still wake up thus give FM (150ml). Not sure if my 8mths lo daily intake sufficient for him. Currently ard 9kg+ Should i increase their milk intake to 180ml? Pls share some tips on lo daily food schedule as well as types of food to intro. My Lo have tried these so far: ● Apple juice ● Pear/Carrot/Avocado/Butternut Puree mixed with BM ● Barley/Cereal/Rice/Porridge Thk you! ?
2017-03-29I am wondering if it is okay for my child to own a set of pokemon cards... his classmate gave him a set of 10 cards which he always keep them in his school bag... i have many concerns on this, i.e. will he not pay attention in class, will he fight with others because of the cards, will he get too engrossed with pokemon and ask me to buy more and more if i start buying him a set and eventually steal money and buy himself if i don't buy.... right now, i just explain to him that it is not right to accept things that the classmate's mummy buy for the classmate and give to my child hence he is going to return today... but he will look with envious eyes when others have pokemon cards... actually i would prefer him playing transformers than cards.... should i buy cards or not.... somebody please help :o

It is very unglam and ugly to have them, and it makes me feel uncomfortable to lift my hands or to wear sleeveless. 2017-03-31My baby is 2 weeks old now and she has been fed with breast milk and top up with formula once or twice at night. It seems that my milk supply is not satisfied her hunger at night. I tried to pump out and the most I can get is 40 ml from both breasts. Can I ask when is your milk supply kick in? Is it normal that 2 weeks my supply is only about 40 ml per pump?

2017-03-31Need to rant: I just cant help feeling sad and angry for hearing this coming from my own mum: Bro: baby girl is coming soon, wonder hw cute she will be or just as cute as the gor gor(no1) Mum: don bother to dream, baby girl wont be adorable one, even so also wont be as cute as the gor gor. She cfm wont be attractive one. Don bother hoping so much. She will be like her mother, inherit all her mother's bad genes. Be just the same unattractive person like her mum. This is just annoying and a pain to hear this. Whether anot she dislikes me, she shouldnt have commented such things to my son or whoever. Mum has always saying bad things abt my baby girl, making comparisons between them. Kept telling my no1, hw gd he is and my mum will only dote on him and wont dote on his sis. #testingmypatience
