2016-10-31Hi mummies! Is it a must to have a play yard if I don't have a playpen? My house is already filled up with my baby girl's things. I've a parklon M size bubble mat in the living room. I'm in a dilemma, thinking whether to get a play yard for her. Would appreciate if the mummies here can advise on this! :)

As I understand that you can claim 3 days for a total of 6 days child care leaves taken for one child which I have done so for the past years for only one child that I have neglected for the rest. 2016-10-31Hi, my LO is 1 week 3 days old. I feed him by latching and formula, sometime I express out the breastmilk. I am wondering why everytime I latch him he seem to not feeling full and keep wanting to drink again after awhile. Sometime I latch him, he fall asleep or push the breast away so I thought he had enough and I put him on bed. But about 10 mins he start to be cranky again and want to drink milk, this last for 1 hr plus and I have no choice but to give him formula. Any mummies experience this?
2016-10-31My 4yo recently keeps blinking her eyes like it's itchy or something. I cut her fringe but she's still doing it. I was a bit worried she may have myopia but she could tell numbers from a distance where my 200deg eyes couldn't. Do you have such experiences w your toddlers?
2016-10-31i'm gg overseas for 4 days with my 10 month old. can i bring frozen pureed vegetables (ill store it in my cooler bag for the short 3 hour flight) and then transfer it to the hotel fridge when i check in? the fridge doesn't have a freezer, but it should be ok as long as it's refrigerated right? was thinking i can just take out one cube for her lunch daily.

2016-11-01I am at my 1 week plus confinement and few days back I can pump like 80ml for both side of breast and suddenly my supply drop dramatically and now I can only pump 20ml to 40 for both. I am so sad that I cannot produce milk for my LO. Any mummies encounter this?

2016-11-01Currently bfing my 19mo by latching. I have the privillage to bring him to work for him thus i am able to latch this long. He will be going to school next year Jan. He is unable to accept bottles. He is okay with drinking packet milk and milo. Straw bottles are mainly water for him. I am unable to convince my family that fresh milk are okay for them since they are 1yo and above. Any other ways that i can intro FM to my child?

2016-11-02Hi. Dear parents. If you were me. How would you do? My primary 5 boy school tomorrow will be going for p5 school camp. But he is the only 1 in class will not be join in. I only know yesterday until teacher A told me. She though i know there's a camp on thursday. She call me and told me that my boy still need to attend school although he never go for the camp. I was very curious how come there's a p5 camp which i dont know. And how come my boy will not be going. I ask my boy. He said maybe he too naughty. So teacher wont allow him to go. And he look like" never mind". Than i call back teacher A. She said she "heard" my boy form teacher, said because the camp will be release in the camp area, will not be go back to school release. So she though we wont be able to go fetch him.( i and my hubby work 10am to 10pm even on weekend. We stay nearby school so we often let him go home himself if there a event.) But the form teacher never approach us or give us a form to inform that. So we can decide who to fetch him if really need. Just than, after call teacher A. My boy said: oh, that y form teacher never give me form. I feel so sad that he feel he is the only 1 teacher dun give him go for the camp. He feel release after heard what i conversation with the teacher A. Althought he keep said its ok. Because to naughty. I still feel so sad why the form teacher never ever want to let us know at first. Should i call the form teacher again? But i feel already cant do anything. And i scared if i voice out. My boy still need to be at the school for 1 more year. Is it i think too much?

My baby boy is abt 1 mth old and recently for the past one week...despite feeding him 80ml of formula milk every 2 hrs he still feel very hungry and cry alot.we then up the amt to 90ml currently but the problem still remain.3 weeks ago,his weights is 2.5kg but now not sure. Esp those who send your little ones to full day IFC. My baby is 7mths 1 week old now. I need help/guidance/advice from experienced parents who have to fetch their babies after they knock off work late... and then rush home to feed them dinner... I feel so bad having to feed her only at 7.30pm or sometimes 8.00pm...and that is just easy brown rice cereals... Share with me pls... how and what you cook/prep...and tips to brave through this journey. I am so worried that I am not doing a good job in feeding her and that she may not be getting enough. 2016-11-03Hi mummies, how do your cope with your confinement? My mum did confinement for me for my no1, it was a terrible experience that we(husband and i) had. She is very strict and traditional. Wants me to wear long sleeves and pants(ok im fine about it) but she doesnt allow me to bathe or on fan especially to slp. I developed rashes on my body and yet she told me that everyone went through that, it is normal to have rashes, after confinement it will go off by itself. I showed her articles frm Eu Yan Sang stating about the myths of not bathing etc, even approach my own trusted tcm clinic sinseh which all the while he is our tcm sinseh since young said that it is ok to bathe and keep myself clean, as long as i dry myself thoroughly after bathe. Also, avoid direct contact with the wind(frm fan and aircon), all these are fine. Yet my mum still denies and said all these are rubbish. I had several heated arguments with her alrd. Now with no2, im stress about confinement again so is my husband. Food wise every meals are the same. No plain water, no fruits no veg(only selected 1 or 2 choices) She nags and nags, i know she meant well but how to survive with her "logic". Ok, everyday my meals definitely comes with ginger with steamed fish and a plate of rice, good times there will be additional 1 plate of ginger with broccoli. Thats all. She cooked the same every meal for lunch and dinner, expecting me to finish all the food. She says no soup, soup bla bla bla like not gd or i cant drink soup. After probably 10days im really sick of the food and couldnt even eat any yet she nags and scolds non stop. Complaining to all her friends and relatives abt hw "disobeying" i am. Then some of her nosy friends will add on to the nagging. I don't know what else can i do or say to change her mind or even negotiate with her. It is really horrible experience on my end. Trustable source and tcm i hav also approached and showed it to her. I am really stress about my confinement than anything else. Her best line is " i also survived, you think you are the only one doing confinement? Confinement is meant to have discipline. Whether you like it or not ok! I am doing for your own gd, you not happy then leave" :( Any advise please
2016-11-03Hi everyone How do u all cope going back to work after your maternity? Its been a year since ive given birth and i am still dragging my self to work. This year alone ive taken 7 days of mc. 3 days if it is bcause im really sick and another 4 is bcause i want to be at home with my kid. My husband is always overseas and everytime i tried talking to him about this,he will just laugh it off. i just want to be at home and be with my kid. everytime i will feel sad and bad leaving my kid when im off to work.How do i motivate myself to go back to work? I really need to work as we need the money for the house and expenses.

2016-11-04Hi there mummies, I'm currently feeding my 9.5mth baby 2 solid meals daily and she's still taking 120ml of formula milk every 2 hrs. May I know if this's normal?
