- 2016-10-24Is there any sign to look out for after baby accidentally fall off the bed? We have checked baby's head, neck, spine and everything else immediately after baby fell and baby does not show any sign of extreme pain. Baby started crying after we went to carry baby but baby managed to stop crying after a while. Baby slept well as usual. TIA.

- 2016-10-24I know I sound a bit greedy but I just realised that Mt A did not give me the diaper bag upon my discharge. Most likely it was because my bb was transferred to another hospital on 3rd day so they did not realise it. Now that bb is 3 mths old and I can spare some time when bb goes into infant care. Do you think is worth going back to Mt A to collect the diaper bag as we do not drive? Would the things be "outgrown" by now?

- 2016-10-25I'm not in a very good terms with my mom since young age (6yo onwards?) things get slightly better when I grew up (17yo onwards) n start t support myself financially and I think she realise the mistakes she made and hope for a better relationship. She's a very dedicated mom do all housework, cook for everyone, even lend me a few thousands to Pay my ($30k) Uni fees while I need t juggle my wedding n New Bto expenses.
Now that I'm preggy, n I quit my job. Only my hub (not earning a lot) is supporting me. We decided not to hire any Confinement lady and ask my mom for help. She's willing to help. She's definitely experienced and know how to cook confinement food. However she stays in the west and I'm staying in north west. I know it's only right to allow her to sleep over thruout the confinement period rather than making her travel Everyday.
1) I'm worried we would clash again if she stay over. We have different views on confinement rules and the way t take care of babies.
2) my hub is not really comfortable having someone else in e house overnight.
If you were me, what will u do?

- 2016-10-251) Is childcare harmful to children below 3? I've read that somewhere. Anyone has any children from CC who turned out well?
2) Would a more premium childcare be better or would they benefit from staying home with grandparents who may not teach them much/watch tv? somehow i feel that home is always more comfy, especially if they are so young. though there's nth much they can learn
- 2016-10-25Hi mommies ,
Just curious - my son got bitten in school and it is the childcare centre policy for the teacher to not reveal to the parent the name of the child who bit him. Just wondering why is it so ? My son is in N1.(Not that I am planning to confront the child's parent or anything ) but it's just stating a fact of who did the act.
Thanks!

- 2016-10-26Hi anyone's babies caught stomach flu before? My gal seems to have caught it from her cousin. I have brought her to see a PD but he only prescribed probiotics and told me I can continue to give solids. My gal only has a slight fever and runny nose which PD said is due to her left ear is bit infected.

- 2016-10-27Family problem...
My husband dislike how my mother involved herself in baby stuff. Like when to stop feeding, how to swaddle the baby and bathing the baby.
She will like to use words like "No cannot. You should do this." Or "Why you did it this way. Baby cannot like this like that."
My husband cannot stand the way she demand on things we doing. So he tolerate her and now we are staying at my mother's place. I know complications is coming and I am still doing my confinement.
My husband already show sign of dislike and even reply back when my mother is being demanding. But I feel so uncomfortable seeing both of them talking like this.
How do I even make the situation better?
My mother is a stubborn and tough women.
My husband is a firm and independent man.
- 2016-10-28(Just sharing) Dear Parents, I experienced a "fight scene" while I'm doing my lesson. When I confronted my pupils...like the ordinary scenarios, they pointed fingers on who's to be blamed. And when I talked to them separately, I was kinda off guard when one of my pupil said that his parents taught him if someone punch him, he also punch, if someone kicks him he also kick...an eye for an eye/ a tooth for a tooth. For a teacher like me, I always do respect parents no matter what their beliefs and cultural backgrounds...but I
do appeal and believe that Parents and Teachers should work together in unity to promote a healthy environment for the child's overall development.

- 2016-10-29My gal is 8 weeks old and she on both BM and FM. My qns:
1. She falls asleep halfway while breastfeeding. Should I pump it out or wait for her to wake up for more feeds?
2. She doesn't like to be swaddled up and always 'fights' to have her hands out. Is it necessary to swaddle her?
3. I've just introduced pacifier to her tdy. When I tried to breastfeed her, she seems a little confused and took a while to suckle / drink. Is this considered as nipple confusion and if so, what can I do?
TIA
