2016-08-15My girl is 6 months old whenever I bring her out in the day ard 12pm, travelling to the location, she is perfectly fine and good. But when we are going back home around 6pm. She just seems impatient in the train. She would scream and cry as thou the train crowd offended her. It's on a weekend. We didn't tired her out during the outing. Me and hubs merely went for a meal and then walk around in lesser crowd areas and back home. Why is this so?

2016-08-15Hi mummies! I am a SAHM of a (almost) 6 months old girl who is on total breastfeeding (DL). Lately, I've been receiving snide remarks from certain people saying I don't even know how much my baby drinks at each feed and I'm silly for not giving FM to baby. I latch on demand eversince she started rejecting bottles and I don't see a point in forcing bottles on her since I'm her main caregiver anyway. My question is - Is it possible to tell how much she drinks per feed? If i am DL her for all her feeds, should i still be pumping to maintain supply or will latching on demand work the same? Thank you!

2016-08-15Recently my LO has been nursing most of the time as she is sick. I tried to pump when my baby is sound asleep or back in infant care. I am unable to pump milk efficiently. I used to pump 200 - 250ml every 6hrly. Now I pump, only less than 100ml. I have to use hand express so that my breast will not be engored. 2016-08-15My LO 17months had fever since last week Tues. The deg was 37.1-37.5 and PD diagnosed nothing and mentioned it was viral fever. We gave him medicine for 4days and stopped as the temperature gone lower. He had some loose stools too. Today his temperature went up till 38.8 (highest). I am not sure whether it's due to teething, as some said teething may or may not cause fever and loose stools. Any advice?

2016-08-15I really need some advice. Few days before giving birth to my LO, my husband asked me to abort just because he say he does not have money to pay and find it very stressful etc. But now, I've given birth and still on confinement, to be counted as those unlucky ones, I've infections, fever etc. Even after knowing I'm having infections, fever, etc, my husband doesn't even give a damn and even ask me to go work to earn my own medical bill. I really find this marriage hopeless as he also doesn't show any respect to my parents and me. And he intend to bring my LO back to his country and never comes back if I refuse to let my LO to even go back once. 2016-08-16Whenever my lo (4 months) is fed through bottle, she will gag as if she was choked by the milk. however, the thing is the milk in the bottle does not flow out unless she sucks the teats. Also, I have a feeling she dislikes drinking from bottles as she would puke the milk out (definitely nothing to do with reflux or overeating) and play with the teats with her tongue instead of finishing her milk. She would only be good and finish her milk when she is extremely hungry and knows that mummy is not around. As a working mum, I can't be there whole day to be her so my caregiver would need to feed her through bottle. Anyone having the same issue? What can I do?
2016-08-16My baby is one week old and we are staying in a dengue cluster area. May I check if there are any suitable on-the-go mosquito repellent that I can use on my baby? I heard those patches are not suitable for infants due to the ingredients that are used to produce the smell that deters the mosquitoes. 2016-08-16My 1m baby seems to have difficulties farting! She makes a lot of sound, cry and gek until her face turns red when sleeping, before letting out a loud fart after all the efforts. She will go back to sleep before the same cycle repeats itself again. This usually happens around 6am or so in the morning. Is it colic?

2016-08-16My baby has dry cough and often gags. Her cough and gags often result in her regurgitating her milk. Sometimes, for some reason,the milk seems to get stuck in her throat together with those thick mucus. Are dry cough and gags related to reflux? What can I do to help her remove the mucus if they are stuck at the back of her throat? I pat her back and gave her saline spray through her nose but I can't seem to get the mucus out.

During the hearing assessment,The doc uses a bell to test if he can hear and turn his head towards the sound , my baby though he responded by smiling back , but he did not turn to the direction of the sound from . In result to this,doc did not pass his hearing assessment and to review in a month time. I try this at home , yes indeed , my LO did not turn towards the sound when I purposely put a bell near both ears. I am quite worried on this . 2016-08-17While sleeping, my 3 months old baby would occasionally throw her hands upwards and tremble. She may also cry out loud after throwing her hands up. This may happen for no reason (no sudden loud noise or no one touch her suddenly). My mum blames me for not swaddling her, but she dislikes being swaddled since we brought her home. She will force herself out of the swaddle when we swaddle her during her deep sleep, or cry to get out of the swaddle if she can't escape. 2016-08-19My butt and lower waist area are full of red stretch mark and I still have 6 weeks more to go before my EDD. Mummies, pls share your experience. Whether after birth, how long will the stretch mark go away or become silver colour? Silver colour is better than red/purple lines. it looks scary and it's bringing my confidence level down. I've been diligently applying palmers oil, clarins stretch mark minimizer, palmers coco lotion on the red lines but it appears to be of no help . Keep growing more and more...

2016-08-20I have been married 17 years and am at my wit's end! My Husband is driving me insane. I can't even tolerate being in the same room as him! Being from the Indian community, I'm well aware that a divorce will bring about gossip. We have two boys and he's always showered me with extravagant gifts to appease me. His flaws are that he's really possessive and I've finally reached my breaking point. Controlling and honestly always felt a part of me being repressed. I know that my boys and I will be in a happier place without him. Any mummies who have been through a divorce? Any advice appreciated.

2016-08-20Hi... Would like to get some advice pls. I work in a retail company that ends quite late at night. I work shift hours, have been here for more than 5 years, currently pregnant and unable to perform actively as I am not so stable at times. Before being pregnant, I was channeled for a career advancement to become a manager. However, when the new HOD took over, and when I got pregnant, things doesn't seem to work out as planned and I hear talks that I should apply for a lateral movement instead because the new HOD has plans to bring in other people. I do not know if I should continue or just look for a new job in a different company. I somehow feel confuse and slightly cheated. I would love to continue still. My second question pondering in my mind is that will it be a good decision if I were to move to a new company and maybe take up office hours job since I am having my baby soon - more balanced lifestyle, can spend quality time with family, etc. I am just so lost and these issues are bugging me.

2016-08-20When does your baby start turning his/her head or eyes toward a sound he/she can't see? My baby is 3 months and am worried as he hasnt been responding to that. Everything else is okay. He is active, babbles alot and is responsive when someone plays or speaks to him. Just not turning his head.. Am very concerned.

2016-08-20Pls I need all mummies who has used epidural to tell me the truth if after administering:- Q1) Will the labour or contraction pains become totally pain-free or minimum pain is involved? Q2) And how many epidurals can a patient ask for? Any minimum or maximum dosage can be used? Q3) How long does this epidural effect last? Until full delivery is over? Q4) Is administering of epidural injection painful too? Q5) Does this epidural help the dilation and vaginal tear pain-free too? Since young my pain threshold is extremely low. Now I am finally pregnant I am supposed to be happy but I am very sad, often cry because I am afraid of the labour or contractions pain. This is no good and not healthy for me and baby. I am only 3 mths+ pregnant but I swear really everyday, every single second I have been tormented by these labour pains until I cannot sleep at all in the night. I forced myself to sleep at 12am plus but I kept waking up every time naturally at 2am and stay awake till morning thinking of the pains! If I am so scared, should I do C-sect with epidural or normal delivery with epidural? Even while fully awake during day or night I also kept thinking of the scary labour pains. Nothing I do lessen my fears and worries. When I eat, shower, watch tv etc, these fears just followed me back at my mind. I just cannot shake them away. I think i need to see a psychiatrist for help now. I shared my serious concerns to my spouse but he told me don't be afraid only. I know he is very supportive but it doesn't help me at all. I really need desperate help from you mummies!
