2016-07-25Recently I have been terminated by my company. Mostly because I'm exclusive pumping mum and always back home on time. Company didn't tell me the main reason but I can guess. I feel very sad and insecure for unforeseen future. I can feel my hubby is stressful because he is the only bread winner. Soon I will be stay at home mum. My LO only 9month old and I think for my situation now hard to find a new job as well. As I still need to exclusively pumping for every 3-4 hours(my supply is low). Due to breastfeeding, I have scarified lots. I'm being emotional and almost depression. While I see my baby I think what I did is worth it but when I'm alone I feel sad. I can't do what I want to do now. I cant talk to my boss now to secure my job as my time and energy are limited. How should I think in order to make myself feel better?
2016-07-25How can I encourage my baby to crawl? He is 8m and seems to have a very passive personality. If his toys are out of reach, he will try to extend his hands to reach but if cant he will just settle without them. tried all mthds to put his fave toys nearer/ further away and not pick out toys for him but none works. He also doesn't pass objects from hand to hand & dislike holding on objects. the only thing he can hold really well is his milk bottles during feeds. Any one face similar situation too? The pd doesn't seems very worried about it but I am!

2016-07-25when do u decide to hang ur pumps? i am 16wks along with my #2 but my #1 is only 7 mthd old. gynae has warned me abt bm drying up during 2nd tri of pregnancy and i've tried all sorts of things to increase supply but of no help. i pump 3hrly at work and my output on gd days are 20ml per pump. on not so gd days, i get only 10ml per pump. i am determine to continue but with this kind of supply, im wondering if im just wasting my time. hubby has always been supportive and told me i can continue pumping even if it takes me 3 days just to get 1 feed for #1. my lo still latches at night but will nvr be full so i hv to supplement FM still. should i just hang my pump now and conserve energy for #2? i am planning to tandem feed when #2 arrives but im scared if #1 wld nt want bm anymore.

He didn't give me any further information, but told me to avoid carry heavy things and intercourse. My next appt with him is 4 weeks later. I went Google and suspect I might be suffering from subchorionic hemorrhage. Should I be worried?

2016-07-25How do you determine hat your baby is full from his feed via direct latching? Total breastfeeding mum here. Mine falls asleep very quickly whenever I nurse him & when I attempt to wake him up, he refuses to continue latching hence I suppose he's full & I'll place him back on the bed. After I've placed him back down, he wakes up again and cries for milk again.

For parents whose Chinese is not their forte, the newspaper cut out advised that newborn babies with jaundice shld be given a concoction of rice cooked in red date soaked water and milk, guarantee to eliminate jaundice after 3 feedings.. I cringed immediately upon reading it.. we all know that nothing but milk should be given to babies below 6mths.. At first I am very patient to ask him to study, use other method to coax him. My mother in law always give in to him and let him watch tv non stop from back to school until I come back from work around 7-8. He also never give in to his sister. I found out about the affair 2 months later and he was apologetic and confirmed he has ended it. However, he refused to move back to SG as he really likes his job and value the career opportunities. 2016-07-29My 18th month old dotter is super fussy and picky when it comes to food. She will like to self feed at the most ten spoons then stops. (small bb spoons) and play with the food. 2016-07-30Whenever I breastfeed my lo, she is unae to locate my nipple immediately. She may turn to the wrong direction, or even if I place the nipple on her lips for her to latch on easily, she will still take a while to fumble through before being able to suckle successfully. This resulted in her getting frustrated and irritated. Is this due to poor latching, or any way for improvement? Thanks.

2016-07-30Hi all, the durian season is upon us and I have a 6mo bub who just started solids for a week. I'm thinking of offering durian because mama would love some too. When will be a good time to offer durian to LO? Very limited info on durians for babies online, so I thought I should ask my question here. TIA!
2016-07-30My LO has bad reflux to the extend that she vomits out the bm that she took. Therefore I'm currently feeding her fm with thickener to ensure that the milk stays in her stomach as much as possible. Bf session has therefore reduced greatly to the extend I'm only nursing her to sleep until her reflux issue improves. Meanwhile, is there anyway to reduce the bm supply for the time being as I feel very heart pain to pump and dump. I don't intend to store my bm for future use, so pumping out to store would be a viable option for me. Thanks!

2016-07-30My 2.5 weeks old newborn is waking up every 1.5 to 2 hours after latching for 30 to 45 minutes (alternating breasts when he unlatch himself). However, when He's given medela calma bottle (80 ml), he's able to last 3 to 4 hours. His diapers output are ok. When I pump out At his feeding time (when replace with bottle), I get -about 100ml each side. Wondering is it sign that he's not getting enough from latching and I should change to bottle?
