Tantrums

Hi momsh just wanna ask if how you handle the tantrums of your child? My daughter was 2yrs. old and every time she has a tantrums I just let her and I acted like I don't care about what she's doing until she stopped and called me and said sorry. Is it Ok? Or is there any technique to handle her tantrums? Thanks in advance ?
