Cold cabbage on breast smells rotten

Im having very bad engorgement so my masseuse told me to put cold cabbage on my breast and leave it in the bra for a while. Is it normal for the cabbage to smell rotten after awhile ? 🤮 man the smell on my bra cannot even be removed even after scrubbing and the smell lingers. And when using the cold cabbage, can even smell thru my top and somebody said it smells like rubbish
