Anyone switch from private to govt at 34 weeks?

Hi everyone, i’m considering to deliver at govt hosp instead of private due to unexpected financial situations. I will be 34 weeks in a few days’ time and have been seeing a private gynae since the start of this pregnancy. Can any mummies share their experiences of switching to govt and how to do it? Do I walk in polyclinic to make an appointment? Pls help a mummy out, thank you!!
